Lendwithcare Avis 

I started off with £30. Got all of that back some months later, reinvested it, got all of that back. It feels great to help people in this way, and you can donate a small amount and continually reinvest and help others (unless you get unlucky with one, I suppose. Hasn't happened to me).
So I'm gradually increasing my overall amount invested as each amount will do good over and over again as I reinvest it.

My wife and I have been supporting LWC for a few years now. We really like the way it helps people improve their lives, not with a hand-out, but by providing the means they need to work and grow their businesses.

I’m saddened to read the negative reviews about not getting money back, as that hasn’t been our experience at all. So far we have had 38 loans completed, and none defaulted. It may be one day we will have a defaulted loan, but that’s a risk we’re happy to take, and so far every loan has been / is being repaid.

It is true that there has been a slight erosion of the initial “investment” over the years, due to currency exchange rate fluctuations, but LWC are very clear and up front about how that works, so I’ve got no problems with that at all.

What I still find amazing is how the effect of the money lent has grown, or “snowballed” as other reviewers have said. By reinvesting each time a loan has been repaid, the amount we’ve been able to loan is now up to around 4x the initial “investment”. How much better than just putting the money in the bank!

Someone said on here that you won't see your money back ,well that's a lie I have had all my money back and then put it back in again ,this is a great way for the likes of me that does not have a lot of money but can still help others

Lendwithcare is awesome, I have made loans for 12 years, and have supported them as they have changed the lives of tens of thousands of people. I get a monthly statement and the money is available for withdrawal. The one star review is I assume from a troll, who is not a member of the community, and does not understand the operational model or the ethos. Lendwithcare is a brilliant concept.

As if you will EVER see that money again 😂 If you agree to this, you obviously have more money than sense 😄🤦🏻‍♂️

Really good Web page. No advertising. Extremely quick completion with no hassle to do more. Have only had one small default in 4 yeas.

I have been donating to LWC for the past few years and love it’s ethos. I see this like a charity. I didn’t start doing it to make money instead I wanted a way to help others and help provide better lives. I have always received repayments which are then reinvested to further help others. If anyone is unsure about this company I would say give it a go it makes you feel good to know you are helping someone far away.

Historically I have given money to charities and… what happens, I don’t know. Normally you’re on their system and then they ask for more! After seeing the wonderful Joanna advert on TV two years ago I decided to donate £15 to one entrepreneur on the Lendwithcare website. Thinking, what can I buy with £15… I can't get a haircut for £15 or a takeaway dinner. Or I could change someone's life. The system is so easy to use. You give and they repay back albeit in small amounts. Eventually, you have a ‘pot’ to reinvest in someone else and make a difference to them. And then they pay you back and then you can reinvest your money to someone else. It’s truly snowball giving. In two years, I've helped eleven people, and none have ever defaulted on their repayment. You can see what your money is doing, having a real impact on improving people's lives. If I had put £15 into a savings account it wouldn’t give the same return on investment as LWC!

Having seen an advert, I decided to support with one loan per month for a year; basically the cost of a bottle of wine. Having reviewed some of the Trust Pilot comments, I agree with concerns regarding loan charges raised locally but also understand the arguement for the in country costs, it would be useful if this data is provided with each loan description. My reason for proving those loans was to reinvest as repayments were made, supporting those who are looking to support themselves. If this turns out to be a false premise and is basically a gift, then please advertise as such. Let's see as it will affect how I sing the praises with friends and work colleagues in the future, hopefully that is fair.

If you see this as an investment opportunity and need your money back this might not be suitable for you (the people giving 1 star clearly didn't understand the principles of this company before they started!).

We 'invested' in LWC because we like the snowball effect of this 'charity'.

This is basically a charity that doesn't do hand-outs and gives the entrepreneurs the feeling that they are not taking charity and I imagine that must make them feel prouder than just taking a handout.

If you 'invest' with LWC you need to see it as an opportunity to help more and more people, just by keep reinvesting the money you get back. I personally see it as a charity that you could give to even just once if that was all you can afford, but still keep helping people by reinvesting the money you get back

I like that people you are lending to get a feeling of pride that they made it on their own strength. That grows character!

I think it's a very clever idea, whoever came up with it! :) and I hope it does a lot of good in the world (not just financially, but also emotionally/spiritually/mental health-wise).

I'd recommend but as long as you don't want the money back it's great for helping people but the messages you get once you've help someone asking you to give your repayments to lend with care is no none stop and I asked for some of my money back over a week ago and heard nothing.

Joined this year. Being able to help someone to earn a living is something that really appealed to me. The minimum loan payment is £15. Each entrepreneur’s request for a loan is detailed with their photo and country. I have already received two small payments back. It’s good to know that my contribution is helping someone. I plan to continue supporting more entrepreneurs. The site is easy to use and navigate.

I have been an investor in Lend with Care for a number of years and was initially introduced by a gift voucher. Although not a large investor I have added small amounts so I can increase support. It gives me great satisfaction knowing the small support I give has a great impact and never had a default. It has been very interesting to read the negative comments as hadn’t appreciated some of the issues raised, but the responses from LWC have been very clear and understandable, I have no experience of trying to withdraw my funds as view this as donations,so I am more than happy to put my faith in them to help those who require it.

I have no hesitation in recommending lend with care.i have been a lender for many years and have over 47 times Lent to various businesses.I have never had any loans default and I will continue to help those entrepreneurs for the foreseeable future.It is true some use the loans as working capital and others to start up there businesses. There are many entrepreneurs to choose from so there's plenty of choices and different time scales you can lend for.

I've been supporting this charity for a couple of years and wonder why this model isn't used more. It's a 'snowball'. If you contribute an amount each month and as loans are repaid add the repayments to the monthly contribution, then of course the figure gradually increases. I attended a talk given by the charity about a year ago and came away reassured that these people are trying hard to make a difference. I hope that even more people from more countries will be able to take part. The admin costs appear to be being kept low - I'm guessing that admin staff are working pretty hard to achieve this. I see every reason to continue supporting this charity.

Excellent idea I have just joined and my first loan completed the funding required by a 21 year old female in Ecuador. She can now invest in more seeds fertiliser etc to expand her farming business and earn extra income I am happy to help and will certainly be helping more entrepreneurs across the world 🌎 😀 😊

I was initially attracted to Lendwithcare because they helped people unable to get a small loan elsewhere and I recommended them to many friends and family members. However, in the last few years, the ethos of Lendwithcare seems to have changed and some of the current entrepreneurs seem to be already thriving buisness people simply looking for a cheap loan (for example, I recently saw a request for a man seking a loan to open his FIFTH commercial shop). Other people are looking for thousands of pounds (for example to pay for workers).
I am also disappointed that when one of our entrepreneurs was genuinely struggling to repay her loan (after severe floods in her country) and I asked Lendwithcare to write off the remainder of her debt (4 pounds) to me, I was told that it was not possible as Lendwithcare did not make grants. Nowadays Lendwithcare seems to have a number of specific and general “grants” available and I am always sad when I think of my single entrepreneur having to bear the stigma of defaulting on her (small) loan because she could not afford to make the payments on money borrowed to replace her latrine.
Unfortunately, Lendwithcare has changed so much since I became a member that I am no longer able to recommend them to my friends and am looking at alternative organisations myself.

As a teacher I use my account to share experiences of those to whom I lend with my students. They select who I lend to after finding out about various regions of the world and the lives of those who live there.

So far my experience with using Lend with Care has been positive. I have, to this very moment paid 17 loans, helped 312 people and have lent £480 with £376.90 repaid so far. I carefully chose the entrepreneurs who has a profitable business and is in a better position to pay back the loan, also I check their payment record to see if they're good at paying off loans. I've also invested £280.50 and have never withdrawn any of the money. Each repayment is usually reinvested in another business needing help.

I belive it's a really good idea and this way people who need the help can get it and as long as I'm able to help I will continue to do so, providing no additional charges except the donations have been added on, so far at £63.50. If the loans are repaid, no matter how slow, and if the credit is sitting there and I'm not in need of it at the moment, it does make sense to reinvest and continue to help the people who needs the help. It's the least I can do.

Lend with Care have made a huge impact on the lives of people who need our help, but it's up to us to invest with care because we have been warned that some entrepreneurs may not be able to pay off the loan, so the choices of who to help is ours and ours alone. I took a risk during lockdown to invest, knowing the risk of non payment would be high as some businesses are affected, but I know that's the time they need help most, so I did what I did and the repayments kept coming in nevertheless.

So I'll now go and make a few more re-investments and just leave it there. They can make the repayments as and when they can, because I'm using money to invest that I am not desperately in need of right now, and I still know I can withdraw my money anytime I want to, but right now I have no need to and am happy to see the differences I'm making to other people's lives. It's an incredibly good feeling to know I'm a part of such a good idea and long may it continue.

Lendwithcare is an amazing concept. I put £30 into my account about three years ago, and as the loans are repaid, and my account gets back to £30 then I make another loan.

So far I have made 36 loans that way and helped 257 entrepreneurs plus an additional 940 family members.

Yes of course lendwithcare charge interest on the loans that they make, that is essential to cover their operating costs, and no they do not pay you any interest. This is not an investment but an innovative way to help lots of people in many different countries
