Lex is an audiobook studio and publisher building the next format for books: cinematic audio. We produce plain narration, scored titles with music and sound design, and multi-voice productions. Every title runs through licensed voice models, a licensed music and SFX catalog, and a human pass for performance and mastering. Lex publishes to Audible, Spotify, Apple Books, Google Play, Kobo, libraries, and other platforms. Lex makes studio-grade audiobooks economically possible for every author, not just the ones who can afford a traditional production budget.

These guys were great. They listened and were prompt in their responses. I really like the final product. If you're looking for a reliable group to produce your audiobook and to do it at a very reasonable price, don't hesitate. You'll see what I mean.
I was impressed how my audiobook turned out. The different voices for each character helps bring the stories to life. Now they are making me a book trailer, and it's awesome. I see certain things in there that they would only know if they read my book, which means they've studied it so they can build those details in.
We partnered with Lex Audio for the audiobook creation of Reshuffle and had a very positive experience throughout the project. David and the team were responsive, transparent, and supportive at every stage. Their prompt response on production feedback was particularly valuable, and the final audiobook quality met our expectations. A reliable partner for authors exploring audiobook opportunities.
The audio quality is great, with human supervision behind it. David did an amazing job and produced a high quality audiobook that was just amazing. I'll be doing the rest of my backlist as well. Highly recommend it!
LEX.audio provides a much needed service for authors, bridging the gap between purely robotic narrators (usually disappointing) and live human narrators (always expensive). At LEX, the recording process is overseen by experienced human people, who not only use different curated AI voices for each character, but also layer in fully licensed music and sound. The result is a more cinematic experience than a book with simple narration--though that's also available, if authors prefer a single narrator. The price tag is fair and affordable for authors on a shoestring, and the customer support is outstanding. These guys are personable, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I recommend LEX.audio to any authors looking for an affordable, high-quality way to provide audiobooks for their readers. 5+ stars!
Lex was able to clone my voice in order to produce an audiobook version of an obscure 16th century work by Pierre de Bourdeille, seigneur de Brantôme...Oh the marvels of modern technology.
David at Lex was amazing to work with. There was clear communication and expectations throughout the project, and the quality of the audio was amazing. My definite go-to source for audiobook files!
