I didn’t start Liquid Laboratories because I wanted to “disrupt the industry” or “innovate the space.” I started it because, after three decades in the lab, I was bored of compromise. I joined BASF in the late ’80s, back when lab coats were still starched and the coffee was terrible. I spent most of my time in the refinishing product development department, working on car care products. Over the years, I had a hand in creating formulas that are now sitting on the shelves of just about every garage, workshop, and detailing bay in the country. Household names, they call them. And yet, the same thing happened time and again: the accountants would get involved. Suddenly, the great product we’d built would be “revised” — not because it didn’t work, but because it could be made 4p cheaper per litre. That kind of thing grates on you after a while. I probably would have left it at grumbling into my coffee… if it wasn’t for my son. He told me, “If you know how to make it better, why don’t you just do it yourself?” And honestly? I didn’t have a good answer. So here we are. Liquid Laboratories is my way of doing things the way they should be done — not the cheapest way, not the quickest way, but the right way. Chemistry Made Clear, without the boardroom shortcuts.

Quality Products

Very impressed is exactly what we hope people feel, not just after using the products, but from the very beginning of the experience. Fast delivery sounds like a small thing, but psychologically it completely changes how a brand is perceived. Speed communicates confidence. It says, “these people have their act together.”
What’s particularly encouraging is hearing that you already love the products this early on. In detailing, the first interaction matters enormously because people can tell almost immediately whether something has been carefully engineered or simply manufactured.
And perhaps the most exciting part for us is your final sentence “looking forward to what is to come.” That’s really the heart of a good brand relationship. Starting from the delivery, arrived quickly with no issues. This is my second order which I now have majority of the exterior products. Flash, Ignite, Torque, Vapour all 10/10

One of the most underestimated things in business is consistency. Anybody can make one good product by accident. The real challenge is creating a range where each product feels like it belongs to the same philosophy, where the experience is coherent from the moment the parcel arrives to the moment you put the bottle back on the shelf.
That’s why it’s especially rewarding to hear you’ve now built up a collection including Flash, Ignite, Torque and Vapour and found the same level of quality throughout.
In detailing, people often talk about performance as though it exists independently from craftsmanship, but they’re deeply connected. A well-crafted product doesn’t just work well, it feels considered. The bottle, the scent, the behaviour on paint, the wipe-off, the finish.. all those tiny details quietly signal whether somebody genuinely cared when creating it.
Really appreciate the continued support, especially coming back for a second order. That means a great deal to us.

There’s something wonderfully irrational about gloss. From a purely functional perspective, a car doesn’t need to look deep enough to swim in and yet the moment it does, we immediately feel better about absolutely everything.
What’s especially pleasing here is that Flash QD layered over Fusion is doing exactly what it was designed to do. Not replace the protection, but amplify the experience of it. More slickness, more gloss, less effort, the automotive equivalent of turning good speakers up just enough to make the song come alive.
The interesting thing about products like this is that people rarely become loyal because of a specification sheet. They become loyal because something unexpectedly delights them. A wipe-off that feels effortless. A finish that makes you turn back and look at the car again after parking it.
So hearing you’re extremely happy and planning to come back is about the best outcome we could ask for. Thank you for the support.

This is exactly the kind of thing we hoped would happen with Fusion1.
There’s an odd assumption in car care that durability and enjoyment are somehow mutually exclusive, that if something is pleasant to use, smells good, wipes off nicely and gives great gloss, it can’t possibly survive a British winter. Which is slightly like assuming a well-tailored suit must fall apart in the rain.
The real challenge isn’t making a product that survives ideal conditions. It’s making one that still quietly gets on with the job after months of cold mornings, road salt, rain and neglect. So hearing it’s still holding up well through winter is enormously satisfying for us.
