this guy troy warren is a total scammer - google his activities in florida......more recently he has scammed over 500 people - the AG and ACC of AZ will be knocking on his door shortly - CAN YOU SAY JAIL TIME!!! Also many lawsuits are coming his way.....shit, i was an employee and he still owes me over $12,000 and another guy over $30k

Troy Warren is a SCAMMER - stay FAR away!!!

Troy Warren, Local City Places, and now... Local City eats is an online SCAM! He is committing fraud and deception with his so called restaurant review website. He will extract your money with promises of passive and recurring returns then lead you on for weeks, months, and now years with delays and excuses. He's changes the whole premise and income structure multiple times while saying he is going to honor the original contract agreements that he signs with you. Mine is for $2275 for merchant agreements and he owes me and my referrals for receipts he collected for retail local shopping starting in March 2025. He's an online scammer in the purest sense of the term. I have gone to the Arizona AG and the BBB with my scam notifications. If you encounter this guy or company online or elsewhere, I highly recommend not falling for his creative scams. He's very good at email copywriting for deception.

I requested refund and they wont give it to me. I have all the emails from this place. scammed just like everyone else.

I Joined up In October 2024 With $495.00 For Sponsorship Of Two Merchants. In March 2025 I Added $247.50 For An Additional Merchant; With The Company Adding One For A Total Of Four Merchants; The Company Called This "3 Plus One". When The Four Merchants Were Activated To my Account I Was To Get Double My Money Back; Total Of $1484.00. An Additional $49.50 A Month For Each Month The Merchant Stayed On The Program. Theoretically This Would Amount to $198.00 Each MONTH. I Was Assigned An Individual Rep. From The Company Who Would Answer Any Questions I Had. I Kept Getting The Run Around On When This Thing Would Start Up. The Phone Calls Suddenly Ended Without Notice. I Texted Who I Thought Was Troy. This Person Had ZERO DESIRE To Answer Questions. I Asked Him About When The CashBates Would Be Deposited In my Account For April And May. He Felt Like I Was Attacking Him. He refused To Speak Personally On A Phone Call. This Guy Is A CON ARTIST Cowardly Punk. I Went On The Website Today, June 14, 2025; Looks Like They Disabled The Customer Service App, And Troys Name Was removed From The Page! Apparently He Has No Intention Of Fullfilling His Contractual Obligation With Me. Monday Morning I'll Be Calling The Arizona Attorney Generals' Office To File An Official Complaint!

I invested in November and waited patiently until May of this year when I finally decided to request a refund.

All I've gotten from them are excuses.

I see that every single review of LCP is negative and most have been scammed out of their money too.

I wonder if this could lead to a class action lawsuit?

Well, I was promised payments since last year when I joined, never received. But, Troy did refund my upgraded membership!

I am finding out like most people that Troy Warren is a scammer. I filed a complaint with the BBB and will also let the attorney general know. I was also told that I would find out when I would get a refund and then he went silent. Also, he is just looking to collect information on consumers and their habits so be aware if you are a business that is going to let him have access to your clients.

Troy Warren scammed me out of $1,772.50. He told me he would refund me in 21 business days and the when day 21 hit he stopped responding to my refund requests. I have since filed with the AZ Attorney Generals office.

Troy is a huge scammer who uses other people’s money to build his business and then breaks contractual agreements and doesn’t pay out. Run if you see this guy coming your way!

Local City Places is in breach of 4 contracts with me. Never delivered the contracted condtions. They even mailed me a releas form for the refund which I signed and sent back and never responded with the refund. They defrauded me of $2.970,- Troy Warren the CEO is defrauding people since the 1990ties. NEVER send money to LCP or Troy Warren.

They told me to submit a release form. I filled it out and on the form it says they submit refunds in 21 days. Its been nearly 3 months. Only scammers dont return peoples money. And doing a chargeback with my back seems nearly impossible. Avoid at all costs. These people are good at scamming

I joined Local City Places in March 2024 when it started going viral on Facebook. My upline signed up hundreds of people but eventually backed out after getting a bad feeling about the company’s founder, Troy Warren. She said he had offered her a higher position, but something didn’t sit right.

At that point, we had started writing reviews for local businesses we visited. The pitch was simple: if a business we reviewed signed up as a paid merchant, we’d earn $20—but only if we were the first to write the review. There was also an incentive to be the first to join in your area: you’d be labeled as an “Ambassador.”

My daughter and I were eating fast food twice a week just to leave authentic reviews on the site. But my upline told me she did a deep dive on Google and found serious red flags—apparently, Troy Warren had a history of shady ventures and allegedly never paid merchants in previous projects.

I didn’t lose any money, but I definitely lost time. It’s frustrating that people like him can sleep at night knowing the damage they cause. Wasted my time between March and August 2024

Run! Do not give this guy a penny. He has been running scams that you can Online search back to 1991. He has scammed thousands of people. Local City Places started out as a free offer, then he needed investors and then you had to pay to move up then he changed it to you have to pay to sponsor businesses then he started Cashbates (which is nowhere near legit) and you pay $99+ to turn in your receipts. (he talks about it like he has a Fetch program but Fetch is real and legit and free). He will do anything to get money out of innocent people. Please just search his name online and you will be shocked!!! Please don't give him any money in any way.
