I fancied a massage, so I decided I would try Locanto out as it seems to have independent escorts, but that's where the problem starts.
I decided on Edwina ( real name Doreen Mmula )
They have their contact number on the site so I txted her to see if she was free.
She was. In short, she took a £50 deposit, but when I got to her supposed road to get her house number, she then hit me with an additional £60 for accomodation expenses!
This is not normal practice & i was then sure this was a fraudulent person & the service was never going to happen.
I went home
I reported this fraud to Locanto but no reply from them. They are probably used to constant fraud claims, who knows?
I'm only warning people to stay away from this fraudulent site

Don't know about their non-dating ads but their "Dating#" is worthless, don't give them a dime! Chats that go nowhere, "matches" that always somehow live in "your town", with the town name misspelled, robot and/or foreign illiterate responses...joke. This is a fake advertising site website that's thriving by doing sex fraud in India.
Advertisers are also losing money on this platform.

It's weird to see foolish guys losing millions to fake girls in the name of sex, while they can have way more fun with hot babes at Chaturbate, CamSoda, StripChat, BongaCams, LiveJasmin, etc, for a fraction of the cost or even free if not willing to pay.

I've been a member for over 10 years, posted an advert and two weeks later was met with "Your account has been banned"

Emailed their customer service team twice and have been ignored twice.

I'm none the wiser as to why I was banned, I'm guessing it's because I was never stupid enough to pay for any of their pointless features on their site! :)

The site is a scammers and bots paradise!. 0/10 - Don't recommend to anyone. Steer clear seriously.

I dealt with an adult advert and paid for the service. They tried to ask for more money and never turned up.

I had been made fraud they told me for hotel book 1200and for medical 850after that they made fraud by taking amount of 10000from and they did give service nothing full of fraud

As an advertiser they are fine. Almost Never a problem. I have used Locanto for 6 years on and off. Some products do not work well on Locanto though. For example, clothing, and ornaments. Personals are good.

Too many scams and its not easy to get in contact with locanto. It's like they hide. All of a sudden this app is not accepting payment for ad, it's a waste of time and cost my business money with stuffing around. There's no assistance if your stuck , does anybody even work here? It's lewd used for easy sex and droogs, no accountability, no help, useless customer service. Can't update app either cos it's removed from Google play store.

My favourite is when they recycle the few genuine adverts they get. This occurs especially in the personals section. Two separate adverts that keep renewing going straight from 1 month ago to 1 week ago. I find it strange as one of the advertisers has moved to a different country and no longer works and the other advertiser has been deceased for two years. Phone numbers disconnected, emails shut down, bank accounts closed. There is no way this is a computer error or mistake they are using old adverts as fillers.

After trawling through almost 200 adverts I did not find one genuine advert.

To preface this, Locanto has categories for ads in different business types. I run a business, and decided to put some ads on Locanto. Unfortunately, it seems that Locanto is mainly used by escorts and weird people that use escorts. So I keep getting contacted by weirdos with sexual messages, even though my business has nothing to do with that. Luckily there is a blocking feature, but still. I would never pay for an ad on here as it won't attract the right kind of paying clients to my business. It will only attract weird escorts and crazy people that basically annoy real advertisers on the site. Free ad maybe, paid ad no.

When I ran my first couple of classified ads on Locanto.com about three years ago, my ads received a great deal of exposure. I paid for upgrades to my ads to give them more exposure and visibility - resulting in an average ad view rate of 400+ views over a period of three months. NO PROBLEMS! However, when I ran another ad about three years later - with the exact same paid ad upgrades for increased visibility - and promoting the exact same product as I did about three years earlier, my ad literally went from 400+ views over a three month period - to NO VIEWS WHATSOEVER (aside from my OWN views)! Now the only logical explanation that I can think of is that at some point over the last three years, this company stopped paying for LEGITIMATE HUMAN traffic to their website and instead - started bringing FAKE BOT traffic to their website! Unfortunately, fake bot traffic is being used by some companies. I smell a RAT! And what makes this rat smell so bad is the fact that - after bringing this matter to their attention - the company offered NO POSSIBLE EXPLANATION WHATSOEVER! I am yet to receive a response from them regarding the matter! That tells me that something is going on with the Locanto.com classified ad system - and they KNOW it - but are TOO ASHAMED TO ADMIT it! I have already filed a complaint/refund request against Locanto.com with my credit card company. They are in the process of investigating the matter, and will make a decision in the matter soon.

If I were YOU, I would search for a DIFFERENT website to run PAID classified ads on. I will NEVER run another ad on Locanto.com for as long as I live!
