Ordered Victoria sponge cake. Came with fruits inside and on top. Actually quite a nice cake as it wasn't overly sweet, wasn't dry either. Definitely one of the better cakes from Lola.

Lola’s began back in 2006 with a simple aim: to bake beautiful, fresh cakes every day. Starting as a small bakery, we quickly grew and went on to open flagship store in Selfridges and, today, we have over 30 locations in and around London!

Cupcakes for vegans and caeliacs
I needed some cupcakes for a small event but I had some vegan and caeliac colleagues. Nobody stepped up to the challenge apart from Lolas's. I spoke to a lovely lady over the phone and she addressed my concerns and double-checked the cupcakes could be made (as special order). They were delivered, on time, to my chosen location. During the event, they were snapped up and all eaten - rich and delicious! I know who to go to now in future

Great cake, bad collection arrangement
Collection at the Bromley concession stand was quite frustrating as there was no clear queuing system and when a queue was eventually arranged, someone who wanted cupcakes from the stand who’d just approached the server, ignoring those already waiting, was served before me even though she was after me in the queue (my cake was stored in the back). There was no indication that the server would do this and neither did she offer an apology - she just smiled at me?! Next time I’ll get the cake delivered as I have done previously when I ordered a large batch of mini cupcakes.

Lots cake- wouldn’t think twice to order again.
Have been a fan of Lola cupcake for a while now.. so when we were celebrating people birthdays ordering larger cakes from Lola’s was an obvious choice, and they did not disappoint. Great vegan option, decent potion sizes. Everyone loved the cakes. Collection was simple and straight forward.

I have already spoken to an uninterested person
I have already spoken to somebody on the 24th. He said I should’ve let the cake sit for 2 hours from the fridge - your guidelines state 30mins to 1 hour. He was not interested - I know with all of your cakes (I have purchased many different ones over the years) that they are lovely straight from the fridge.
I have purchased this particular cake at least 3 times …. my family and I all agree that this cake was very dense and dry, not spongy, light and moist like the others (which were eaten straight from the fridge) . I will return to pattisserie Valerie for my daughter’s birthday cake in July.

We were very sorry again to hear that you were disappointed with the taste and quality of your cake.
Unfortunately the sponge and icing of fresh baked cakes are affected significantly by storage in the fridge, as this cold temperature causes fats in the cake and icing, such as butter, to solidify, which can make the cake taste dense and dry.
As such, we always advise that our cakes need at least 2-3 hours out of the fridge to come up to temperature for that classic light and moist Lola's experience.
