DO NOT USE TJIS COMPANY THEY FRAUDULENTLY SELL YOU A HOLIDAY
Just got back from a 9 day break in KOS with my daughter. Flight was delayed so arrived in early hours. The hotel was supposedly 4* Kipriotis Village Resort. We were told our rooms were outside. it was approximately 2 am.
We dragged our suitcases down a flight of steps and realised we had walked through a pile of vomit! This was an immediate red flag. we stumbled across a security guard, who with the assistance of another guard, eventually located our rooms, which were up a steep flight of stairs. I opened the door to enter what I can only describe as Cell block H. The heat was stifling and it was full of mosquitoes. There were 3 single beds which were rock hard. The room did not resemble in any fashion, the pictures in the brochure. It was dilapidate. The curtains did not even close. The room was dirty.
My daughter went to her room and there were 3 men door, were clearly partying! we rang Love Holidays emergency helpline and they told us to gather evidence, but nothing could be done as they had to report it to their Reservations team. I asked for a timeline, but they wouldn’t provide one.
To summarise, we went back to Reception, asked to be immediately relocated, which they refused. We were told if we came back at 11 am we would be relocated to a sister hotel. I completed a complaint form and was given a can of mosquito spray…nice touch!
We returned at 11 am say the Duty Manager who said that we would not have been told that we could be relocated, in effect we had lied and there was no complaint form to be found at Reception. We repeatedly rung/e-mailed Love Holidays, each phone call took approximately half an hour to get through. My daughter was now in tears, as the holiday was a birthday gift for her.
Eventually we gave up and removed ourselves and went to the nearest Taverna for food and drink as we hadn’t eaten since the day before. We could see one of the sister hotels nearby up a hill, so we dragged our suitcases there. We reported the situation to Reception who got hold of the Hotel Manager. He was very nice however told us the hotel was full, but he would take us back to the first hotel and we could look at other rooms. We did so, but they were equally as bad and did not match the photographs in the brochure which on reflection look to be Ai generated.
in conclusion the lovely lady who showed us the other rooms advised us to leave and helped source new accommodation for us on her phone. She said the hotel was dilapidated and about 20 years out of date and the worst she had ever worked in. I have her name and number.
On our return I contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau. They have advised to send a letter to LH Recorded delivery, stating they are in breach of the package holidays and link travel arrangements of 2018, stating there was a major issue with performance and to ask for a price reduction, to cover the full cost of the other accommodation and transport, we had to pay for. Also to request compensation for loss of enjoyment.
