Horrible experience, don't use it if you don't want to freeze to death

The temperature inside the bus was 7-8 degrees celsius in December(!) (I have photos from the cabin stating it is 7 degrees with timestamp and destination), an absolute nightmare for sitting more than 6 hours even in all on winter clothes. The bus has no water in the restroom and no tea. Asking the driver about what on earth is happening does not help other than watching him stating this is how it goes, deal with it.

Luxexpress support replied after 6 days and did nothing, just stated this was outside temperature (it snows all the way around there, this is a stupid joke). No refund provided.

RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF

On the trip from Tallinn- Parnu - Riga, on 30.11 2023 11:00 bus driver was rude and did not helpful. Is this company's name really "LUX express"? Because the experience was definitely not LUX. Maybe it would be better to find a staff, which would be able to work with clients, than to give a job for a person who can't speak politely to the clients and is rude and has no idea what good service is about? Thank you for the awful experience, never ever again...

Do not trust this company

Do not trust this company! I chose Lux Express for my trip only because of their 100% refund promise explained in their own T&C. However, when I wanted to cancel my ticket 28 days before the travel time to receive the refund, they changed the Refund option to Voucher only. Lux Express is not able to provide the service because Finland closed some border crossings with Russia, but surely as a business Lux Express has insurance for these situations. However, they decided to punish the customers who trusted their promise. Appalling customer service! Do not use Lux Express!

Had the most awful experience with this…

Had the most awful experience with this company. I was going to travel from Finland to Russia in a week to see my parents, however the Finish government closed the borders on their end and the LUX company had to cancel my trip and now I need to arrange a journey through a different country. But could I get my money back? Of course not! These LUX Express thieves kept the money and offered me some useless voucher (how can I use it of the border is closed anyway??) I’m still thinking whether I should sue them. I’ll make sure to spread the word about this scamming company.

Scammers

Even though they say that the tickets are 100% refundable, read carefully the conditions. If something happens and you cannot travel they will keep your money.

Unacceptable the worst service

Unacceptable service, rude drivers. The bus left without passenger and did not propose any alternative way to get home. Had to wait at the border for three hours and ask another company to bring me home.

Got roundtrip tickets and changed dates…

Got roundtrip tickets and changed dates on the return ticket. Later wanted to cancell and did it online as it stated that tickets are refundable. However, after online cancellation i did not get any refund. I emailed to them but they said once tickets dates were chaged they can not be refunded. I asked politely to resurrect my tickets so that i could change the dates, but got negative reply. Their English is to improve a lot! As i understand apart from Luxexpress there is no alternative transport b/n RF and west so the comoany can do whatever they want and get away with it(( poor approach to keep customers.

You should not respect yourself if you use this company. The drivers are absolutely hating the passengers, scream and use curse words. They do not even have first emergency kit. When my 15 y/o daughters got burns when a deflective paper cap collapses, we got absolutely no help from the drivers and customer service. The company does not respond to my mails. Not a single one! This was a dreadful Soviet experience, in fact, worse than that.

The date of trip: 7 Aug 2022. The registration plate: 189 DCF.

Horrifying driving manner and stressful journey

I would like to write you a complaint about a driver who was driving a bus Riga - Tallinn on 18th July 14:00.

The driver has been trying to overcome multiple cars and especially lorries causing a stress to all passengers and making everyone to feel highly insecure and scared when suddenly pressing brake harshly multiple times.

The road is fairly narrow on the border between Latvia and Estonia and a lot of lorries passing by. His driving manner has been shocking and kept all of the passangers stressed and worried.

Also, despite multiple people mentioning the wifi issues, nothing has been resolved during our trip and left us without a wifi. The driver said that the wifi is working.. but we spoke to other people around and everyone proved my point.
I am travelling with my family of 4 people and none of us had a wifi. The message says - Searching for IP address.. we tried to restart all 4 phones and re-connect but it didn't work.

I would highly appreciate if you speak to your driver and ensure that no other travellers experience such journey..

Fix your wifi

Fix your wifi. Impossible to work like this during travel. I travel every week twice the line Tartu-Tallinn in a business class and the wifi just keeps getting worse by the week. Some weeks there’s no wifi at all. Only thing they have going for them are comfortable seats, everything else is getting outdated for the price they ask.

Avoid by all means - terrible

Terrible experience. They let you book Lux Lounge to travel in comfortable seats and night before your travel they let you know that the bus is switched to Lux Express therefore less comfortable seats and no refund is offered only 50% future travel voucher valid for 6 months. Rude service and no communication at all. Never again!! Check other companies who can guarantee that you get what you pay for.

The rude driver was yelling at people…

The rude driver was yelling at people asking for their documents and barely spoke English. He even had the nerve to hit my leg with a water bottle to get my attention.

There is also not a mask mandate or it's not enforced. The group of people right behind me were coughing, sneezing, and blowing their noses throughout the bus trip and not wearing masks for most of the ride. Now, I'm starting to feel sick, so I would avoid using this company again.

An awful company that needs to educate…

An awful company that needs to educate its drivers. Ruined my trip because he insisted I required a passport to travel from Latvia to Lithuania. I had my ID but even the European Union website says you do not need any documents as it is the Schengen Zone. I had my ID that stated I was Lithuanian. I had all my documents and a digital copy of my passport. And now they are refusing a refund. Absolute disgrace

Comfort, on-time

I used to travel with Lux Express across Baltic states & Poland 6 times and didn't face any problem at all. Staff is friendly. Seats are comfortable and with customizing back. When boarding, a driver offers a free bottle of water. Wi-Fi is stable the whole route. Departure was always on-time, arrival was often much earlier than on-time.
