Customer Service - FAIL
I provided the dimension and they proceeded to "adjust" and shrink further then they admitted in an email and now i am stuck with a piece of fabric that is completely useless. They protect themselves from accountability. Their response was we reduce by 12" but during the order process they reduced it 24" and then 5% more. Since i didn't catch their error I'm now on the hook. BAD EXPERIENCE - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Overrated Company
To me, this product looks really cheap. It is also very expensive, and it isn't worth the money I paid. I have followed all the instructions and watched plenty of videos to try and make this product look like the nice, elegant pictures you see on the website, but it looks raggedy. No matter how much I try and tighten it, it sags. My custom shade sail can't be returned and I figured it couldn't be, but this product was a disaster, and I am very disappointed. I am not happy at all, and I do not recommend this company or products.

Delivery kept being delayed (3times)…
Delivery kept being delayed (3times) from when we were emailed it would arrive, so was difficult to plan for our contractor to arrive.
Also, ordered more of the “glue” that is supposed to mix itself when installing the screws. It also was late in arriving and one of the tubes did not mix itself. It was a mess for the contractor who had to get it all out and stir it then push it into the hole.

I was looking for a quality sun sail and I found it with Maanta. Anna was great as she walked me thru the design, install and final adjustments. If you want a product that is quality and looks great then Maanta is it. The ability to tweak out any dips/slack is awesome and I was unaware until the final install. I suggest a little graph paper and reading their install guides.

Great Product and Service!
This is the third time I've ordered a Shade Sail from Maanta and continue to be happy with the service. The product is great and the service is exceptional. There was an issue with one of my sails (a blemish in the canvas), I opened a service request (w/photos) and they made a brand new sail and shipped it out to me immediately. I would not hesitate to buy another Maanta Sail!

The Maanta Patio Shade review
The Maanta Patio Shade I ordered arrived as promised and lived up to its reputation for quality. It was easy to install and performs wonderfully.
I opted for the manual crank for raising and lowering the shade. It works fine, but the gearing ratio is too low. To drop the shade to the height I need it in the afternoon, it has to extend to half it's length, which is about 55 inches. It takes FOREVER to lower and later raise it.

Maistra Canopy
Shipping was quick and responsible. Welll packed and no missing parts
Assembly was challenging because directions were unclear at times. Mission accomplished and I feel confident that customer service would have been responsive to any questions as they had been throughout the process. Assembly has been interrupted by travel and I look forward to completing the project on my return. I kook forward to seeing Maistra in all its glory on our beach and operating this beautifully designed Italian masterpiece.

Poor product, delivery, and customer service!
I've never had quite such bad customer service as I've had from Maanta. I purchased a custom Reef Roll for over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS from this company and the follow up has been such a joke. They did not reply to any inquires for over a week and when they did just flat out refused to offer a return. The product was badly damaged in transit, as evidenced by photos I sent, and I was unable to mount it. The instructions were also comedically bad to the point where I wanted to scream. And I am an avid DIYer! avoid this company at all costs. You might think you can't get a motorized shade elsewhere but I beg you to find something else.

As for the return policy, we’d like to clarify that custom-made products, such as your Reef Roll, are non-returnable, as clearly stated on our website at the time of purchase. However, we do take reports of damage during transit seriously. As mentioned in our previous emails, we are more than willing to provide replacement parts for the components that were scratched or damaged. This way, you can fully enjoy your product without additional costs.
On the topic of installation, we understand your frustration with the instructions. We’ve made more detailed manuals available on our website and sent you these resources via email. In addition, we offered dedicated support to guide you through the installation process. However, to provide the most effective assistance, we’re still waiting for the requested photos to better understand the specific challenges you’re facing.
While the vast majority of our customers successfully install their motorized shades without issues, we are committed to helping you overcome any difficulties. Please know that our goal is your satisfaction, and we’re here to support you in making the most of your purchase
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, they were extremely rude when I was asking about shipping as well as a Black Friday discount that was offered literally one day after my order. Also, the product was low quality. I have sent 4 emails asking for a return shipping label so I can return my product, and they are ignoring all my emails. Mario Z who is their customer service rep actually stated in an email "I really do not see a reason to complain". You trust these guys with giving you any after service on their product?

Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify a few points: your request to receive the product by Thanksgiving was prioritized, and we successfully delivered it a day earlier. Had you placed your order during the Black Friday discount period, as you mentioned, the item would not have arrived on time.
We have responded to your emails and provided return labels as requested. The concern you’ve raised seems to stem from not receiving an additional discount after your purchase, which we couldn't accommodate since your order was completed prior to the already announced promotional period.

The order was not even close to the measurements supplied to Maanta. I contacted Maanta and they responded telling me that "The fabric is 4 3/8 inch narrower than the overall width of the structure." They have yet to respond to my emails for credit. One panel ordered was supposed to be 80" wide and arrived 60" wide. An extremely poor experience.

As mentioned in our email response, the fabric is indeed 4 3/8 inches narrower than the total width of the structure. This detail is clearly stated in the section where you entered the measurements for your drop awning.
Regarding the panel you mentioned as being 60 inches wide, we can confirm that this is not accurate. The fabric is 74 inches wide and consists of two pieces, each 60 inches tall. Simply unrolling the fabric and installing the awning will show that everything is as it should be.

I have 2 reef rollers
I have 2 reef rollers. The first one arrived right on schedule and the second arrived 3 days early(both sent to CA). So shipping from Italy was excellent. I bought these because I had quality issues with the big box store offerings. The Manta shades are great quality.
The slight improvements that should be made are:
1) screwing the fabric down into the elastic cord at the ends of the fabric is frustrating since cord just rotates so you have to fuss a lot to get the screws in.
2) the wire cable attachment to the brackets should be revised with a ferrule at one end at least.
3)the width of shade plus brackets does not account for the nuts required to fasten the shade to the brackets. For between post installations this could cause a problem.

Shade sail poles are great but...
I love the quality of the shade sail poles. The ability to adjust the shade sail at any height is a great feature! These poles are very well made and hold the tension of my 12' x 16' shade sail with ease. The only issue I had was when I tried to install the set screws from the exterior of the poles to the inner structural (rectangular) poles. The holes on the upper exterior poles were misaligned and I had to expand the holes and tap the holes to get everything to line up. My guess is that the calibration for the hole drilling at the factory was out of adjustment. Regards, Joe Stambaugh, Taneytown, Maryland, USA.

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. We ordered 6 shades for a parklet that we built a client on 6/26, we received 6 of 5 units on 7/5. Despite lots of communication with Maanta, we still don't have our 6th shade. They don't actually have stateside support, so talking to somehow has a limited window where we are awake and their phone is staffed. Their customer service while responsive, is defensive and unhelpful. We still haven't received our product and they act they are doing us a favor to look into it. They have created timelines, which they then miss.
The product is also terrible. They can make custom widths, by adding pieces of extrusion the length of their box together up to your desired size. Each joint has a splice of another extrusion, these just float inside the outside extrusion, so if you move the assembly out of horizontal, all the splices slide to the low end (which can only be adjusted by taking it apart again. Given that to install these you have to put them at an angle, all the splices end up at one end. The joints without the splice arent strong enough, and they bend under tension. We had to take them down, take them back apart, and silicone all the splices in place before re-assembling, and re-installing. We ordered these with both the hook hold downs, and the wire guides, and neither method is satisfactory. Our use is in a mildly windy environment, and the weighted bars are at head height for a seated customer. The weighted bars with hooks moved around so much we didn't feel like we could risk leaving them down without the wind blowing them free, and this heavy metal bar either blowing into the street and hitting a car, or smacking someone inside the parklet in the face. We tried the wire guides. These are designed so that the bottom bar rides up and down on a cable. The nuts on the top hardware dont align with the mounts on the bottom bar, so they cant be installed vertically, they need slack, or else they wont go all they way up. This leaves them loose and unsightly. The cables fasten into 1/2" square steel blocks with a simple set screw, which will definitely fail The anchors in the metal bar are held in with tiny screws that thread into 1/8" vinyl piping in the vinyl shade itself, again, totally unacceptable to hold the ejointtogtehr. These are tragically conceived details that will blow apart and lead to someone getting hurt. There are more details that dont work. Ultimately we decided with our client to simply screw the bottom bars down to the wall so that they don't become projectiles and kill someone. We are looking for another solution and these will be thrown out. A supreme waste of time and money, absolute garbage product and company.

We are really sorry that your experience was that bad with our company and we understand your frustration. We are an Italian company, our customer service is available until 18:00 UCT+1 (12:00 for UCT-5 or eastern time zone) and 3 times a week until 22:00 UCT+1 (18:00 for UCT-5 or eastern time zone) with US dedicated personnel. We are currently looking for solutions that can guarantee a 5 days a week active service until 18:00 for UCT-5 or eastern time zone.
We rely on UPS for our delivery service and, although they are a leader in the field, mistakes can happen. Due to their policies we had to wait for them to find the lost package before we could do anything, since it took them long enough, we decided to ship you the new roller shade without waiting for their final response. We manage to produce it and deliver it from Italy to the USA in 4 days
We do not even try to hide the fact that the roller blinds come in pieces, it is an information clearly stated and shown on our website. We also state in the instruction manual that the joints must be tightened even to the point of bending the roller a bit so the splice can do its job and stay in place, there was no need at all to use silicon or any other adhesive substance.
We provided you with a wire guides system as you asked since you noticed you chose the wrong product, as you can see our system is designed to be adapted and every piece can be replaced in case of need just by contacting us.
The nuts on the roller do align with the mounts on the bottom bar if correctly installed, their goal is to be installed vertically, you can do it by adjusting the mount on the roller or correctly placing the bottom brackets. When the installation is not ideal we suggest leaving a bit of slack on the cables to help reduce the friction between wires and weight bar.
Every piece and joint and even the square steel block with the screw is carefully designed to be effective and keep everything in place, they do not fail if correctly installed or if not under strong winds. Our roller blinds are not designed to offer strong wind protection, they offer sun/heat and rain protection.
We think you needed a product not with simple hooks or wire guides, but a roller blind with a full window enclosure that we do not produce (yet) and we are sorry it was not clear to you that our roller blinds would not meet your specific needs.
We are going to use your feedback to update our website by giving our potential customers even more information hoping that they would read them or contact us in case of doubt.
