The lodge not only provides job opportunities for members of its neighbouring towns: it also seeks to be a partner in the region’s development, setting it on a more sustainable path for the future.

- Ride on the Dragonfly Canopy Gondola and glide high amongst the tree-line and take in nature’s masterpiece or take to the many paths and trek within, marveling at numerous rivers and falls. Stand at a distance and perceive how each part comes together to form the whole and then experience it up-close. Enjoy amazing day hikes and then wander by night with our night-time guided tours and discover the forest in all its wonder. Whatever you choose to do, Mashpi’s attractions and exploratory activities have virtually every angle covered…
- Conservation and comfort
- Located at a former lumber mill, Mashpi Lodge was built using the latest techniques in sustainable construction in order to prevent damage to the forest, with much of the structure having been preassembled in Quito and designed around the topography of the site to prevent further damage to the trees. It is designed to blend in perfectly with its natural environment, respecting the natural space it occupies.

Perfect for couples
I went with my boyfriend and it was all an experience. From the delicious food to the activities in the forest. I think every one should come to this magic place once in their lives. ^^

Unexpected Luxury
Incredible experience, staff, food and education. Considering the environment it is located in, I was also surprised at the level of service and luxury meals and accommodations.

Reconnect with nature
Knowledgeable guides who share their love of nature and showed the quiet beauty of Mashpi. The trails are narrow and a bit slippery at points, but I (65yo in ok shape) was able to do with an occasional helping hand. Swim in the waterfall pool if you get the chance - it’s so worth it!! And the food was superb as were the cocktails. A most memorable trip.
