I found out the hard way that HodgeProducts.com is the company "behind" Americanlocks.com and Masterlocks.com. Do NOT order from them!!! They take your money and never ship the product.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I ordered locks for our company on 2/10/25 was given 10-15 week lead time, I've been try and contact someone over the phone, emails and actually going to there office. My son works next door to them and has knocked on there door several times over the past 2 weeks with no luck!

SCAM site

SCAM site. Do not buy locks from here, you DO NOT receive them. Price is too good to be true. They are not the legit MASTERLOCK.COM site. They are listed as masterlocks.com (with an S on the end) BIG SCAM.

the website americanlocks is a scam
Their new website is AMERICAN LOCK, not the Lock Company. SCAM! Charged my credit card when I ordered locks and NEVER SHIPPED THEM. I ordered in Oct 2024. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM! American Locks is a SCAM. They should go to jail!
The real company that makes the American Lock is a good company, but this website americanlocks is the scam. Their website is no longer taking orders, so ....

Scam Company

Scam company tricking people into thinking they're transacting with the MasterLock company. Order made, items never received, no communication from company. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card to get my money back.

Unbelievable

Unbelievable - AVOID. Will not fulfill an order but will charge you and then ignore you. Absolute scum of the earth. Not BBB accredited but has an F rating unsurprisingly.

All prior negative reviews are spot on

All prior negative reviews are spot on. Original order placed in the summertime (Jun/Jul), and it is now mid-December with no locks. They told us in November to cancel the first order and reorder (resubmit credit authorization and all) because they changed systems. Another four weeks goes by, and they are asking if we want to wait for the credit from the first order to place the second. This is after being told IN WRITING how urgent the need was and to move forward immediately. On four separate occasions I have sat on hold like the previous reviews for in excess of 30 min, waiting as it told me I moved up the queue, only to be forced to leave a voicemail that no one responds to. Currently holding again.

Don't think you can spend the entirety of 2024 blaming system issues and such. At some point it's just an inefficient company.

Poor, Poor Business Practices

I reached out to get a quote for about 500 locks for our company. According to the website and the official quote from a company sales rep, the locks in the colors we requested were available. Upon providing our credit card information, the sales rep. responded by saying that many of the locks we requested were no longer available and that we would have to make some changes. This was AFTER we had provided authorization to charge our card, and they had our information. Very poor business practices. If you can go with another supplier, do it! The Lock People/ Hodge Group should NOT be your top choice! In a lot of ways, how they operate seems like a scam!

Buyer beware...

Regretfully I have to agree with the previous reviews. I had place an order for 200 locks and fully paid for on February 21 2024. I have not received the order to date and have not received the refund for $4,052.00 owed to me. I have contacted customer service numerous time with no success. I will continue pursuing the refund but through it important to let other potential customers know to steer away from doing business with The Lock People / Hodge Products. They have various names to go by but seems it's the same old story with their inability to fulfill their orders. I will update this review if anything changes.

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company, placed order 6-10-24 was supposed to take 4-6 weeks. when I called today 10 weeks later they have no idea when my items will be shipped.

Would give 0 stars

Would give 0 stars. Ordered 1/5/24 Emailed and called each month - kept being told production issues, they're catching up, my order is next in line. was given a promise of delivery date but no Tracking information, still no locks and they have my $$ since January. Now they are ghosting me and the new phone system seems like a scam!!!! We're upgrading our customer experience please leave a voice mail.

Horrible company

I placed an order at the beginning of March 2024 with a lead time of 4 weeks. It's mid-May now, and I still haven't received the locks. I've tried calling them, but they only communicate via email. I've sent them three emails, but it's been 9 days without any reply. Beware of this company.

I would have given this company zero…(resolved)

I would have given this company zero stars, but that is not an option. I ordered 200 keyed alike locks in October 2023, the estimated ship date was early November. In December I contacted them and they said it would be shipped early January. Mid-January I called they said "early February" in mid February when I got the same "early next month" response I demanded a supervisor call me back. a few days later he did and he explained how they had a glitch in the system and random orders were never forwarded to manufacturing, and the automatic estimation the system provides is "early next month". He offered me a small refund and promised to "walk the order through" and he said it would be expedited, due to the issues and I should get it early April. Here I am May 13th, 2024, still no locks. Now when I try to contact them their phone system keeps me in a que starting with "you are 8th in the que" "fifth" down to "next in the que" after 31 minutes it says something about them modifying their customer phone system and to leave a message, it then starts recording. This has happen 3 times, every time it hits 30-32 minutes it kicks you out. They never return the calls or my emails that I started sending over a week ago. This is the worst customer service I ever seen, even companies, during Covid were more responsive. I am demanding a refund for my order, I'm over this company and their name doesn't carry the respect it once had.
UPDATE: As of today (5-23-24) Masterlocks.com has rectified the above matter. I have been made whole and harbor no anger towards this company. It was an unfortunate internal issue they were experiencing and I was just an unfortunate victim, but they have satisfied me with their corrective action. Thank you for reading.
