I am a scientific expert working at a oncology field. Especially colorectal cancer, peritoneal carcinomatosis with particullar interest in KRAS, BRAF and c-Myc mutations, EMT
I am a scientific expert working at a university. Although there is not often, to my knowledge, aligned with the request, there were 2 times it fit well. After both consultations, I felt very good in sharing my experience with other positive people. Also, payment for such a consultation is good addition to University salary, as being scientist without commercial incomes is always not well paid.

Delayed payment. Poor communications. Terrible portal. Mismanagement
As an advisor, they mislead you on the time itakes to complete surveys. I booked a phone interview with a client and it was cancelled just before the call. Time wasted and no compensation. And on top of it, it took me 4 months to get payment for previous work done. They said it was a technical issue. 4 months to resolve?? And I had to chase them down for it. Horrible communication. I will only use Guidepoint, GLG, AlphaSights, Third Bridge, and Dialectica. They are professionals. This organization is a joke. Even the portal is poorly designed and managed.

Love Experience but payment...
I love the experience and level of questions but payment is a issue. I did not receive yet and maybe due to trnafer process. It is more easy if you utlize WISE card because you can transfer directy in dolar currency.

I haven't been paid for a survey that I completed
I haven't been paid for a survey that I completed. There's something strange reason this company thinks that they can get paid from your work product and not pay you for what you have completed. They make you wait 10 days after you submit your work for it to be approved although they approve my late then after the 10 days they expect you to wait another 10 days before you were paid well that time is up as well they haven't paid me they are ignoring me your customer service is non-existent and they are purposely holding my payment back I got in touch with your payment provider and was a form unofficially that they were told to hold my payment back I want my money from them and I don't understand why they think it's all right to do this to someone who is a single mother and who works sometimes 18 hours a day to provide for me and my son. They are very unethical in their dealings and I would suggest that no one ever ever participating in any of their activities because if you get paid as a crap shoot no one should have to worry about whether they're getting paid for work that this company has already gotten paid for. After being told that I would be paid once the 10-day. Was up now that the 10-day period is up I am being told that they are experiencing technical issues I don't believe them and I know the four fact that they are lying they refuse to pay me my money

Bunch of crooks. They accepted my survey results. After 1 month of non payment they automatically cancelled my survey response so they cant pay anymore

Dishonest and misleading
I went through profile setup and "training" (more of a promotion) before responding to a survey. After completing the survey, which was supposed to pay a fee to me, I was told that the survey reached its goal of participation and my input was not required. This should have been told BEFORE I answered all survey questions. I do not trust that Maven Consulting is operating honestly.

Thanks for sharing this — we understand why it felt unfair. Most research studies have quotas set by the client, and sometimes those fill while someone is still completing a survey. When that happens, responses stop being accepted and incentives aren’t issued, which is a standard practice across the research industry, not unique to Maven.
The “training” you mentioned is our annual consulting orientation video for anyone who may take part in paid consulting or surveys, so you won’t be prompted to watch it for every project.
Your time matters to us, and we’re working on clearer upfront messaging around quotas and eligibility.
