Mavenart does a great job of communicating during the process. I’ve used them 3 times so far. Twice I gave feedback on corrections and without hesitation they made changes until satisfaction is achieved. I would highly recommend them!

These people are crooks
These people are crooks. Do not use them. They showed me a nicely cleaned up version of the photo I sent. I approved the transaction. I was excited and hoped to get portraits of my father and my husband’s parents too. They offered a colorized version but I declined. They took a lovely photo of my mom at age 21 and made her look like an animal. The eyes and cheeks were bad but worse they gave her a snout. It was a cartoon. I declined and asked for my money back. They offered to “fix” it if I would pay them again. I received Nothing from MavenArt and paid $119.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback. However, we would like to point out a few things.
The original picture we received was blurry and we were able to enhance it to better show the facial details. We had given both options(color as well as black and white) and received confirmation for a black and white artwork. We had further also stated in the email prior to starting work that the artwork will be in black and white, meaning the colors for achieving a sepia tone in the artwork will not be there. By the time we received the request for sepia tone, we had already completed the artwork.
The artwork we commissioned holds a close resemblance to the layout, hence it did not qualify for a refund. We had also accommodated revisions(no additional fee was charged for revisions) based on your feedback as your satisfaction is truly important to us. We emailed you a picture of the revised artwork to receive confirmation in order that we can proceed with shipping. We have nevertheless shipped the artwork to the address we had on file with the order. We would have redone a sepia-toned artwork if the sepia tone had been mentioned in the order or before starting and if the request was missed by the artist. Or if the artwork did not match the picture we have worked from. As artists, we are limited to the pictures we work from and can only recreate the facial features that were visible in the picture.
We would also like to add that the fee we had mentioned in our latest proposal for redoing the artwork was not only to "fix" or revise the already commissioned artwork but to "redo a new artwork" from scratch for you since this artwork is significant to you, we always try to create artworks that could be cherished for a long time and we value your thoughts, time and efforts you invest in this process with us. We also offered a discount on the new artwork, the quote we worked up for you for redoing a new artwork did not involve material costs or the artist's time.
Nevertheless, we would look forward to working with you in the future and hope to achieve a better understanding and discussion of expectations from both of our ends.

Fantastic Experience - Start to Finish
From beginning to end, working with MavenArt was a fantastic experience. The process and turn around time was a lot quicker than I expected and the quality of the piece was beyond what I was expecting. I was concerned at first, because MavenArt was more budget friendly than other competitors and sometimes you get what you pay for. But not in this case. I could not be more pleased with the final product.

I have had 4 different commission of pictures turned into oil paintings and they were all done exquisitely well. I would not hesitate to use them again.
