Very disappointed with my ecperience of trying to set up an appointment. I have limited stage small cell lung cancer. I contacted them to get a second opinion and treat with them. MD Anderson obtain my medical records and I was told they went over them. I have already been told my other leading cancer center that after Immunotherapy I will stop treating and wait and see when the cancer spreads. This stopping treatment scared me. All I wanted to know is if they have some form of treatment. They would not let me know. They wanted me to fly to Houston and meet with a doctor to find out if they can treat me. Not a great way to start a working relationship. I had other facilities discuss this over the phone or zoom. They are suppose to be the best, but they sure do not act it. It appears just like other facilities, they are just out to make money and do not care about being a little transparent with patients. the first thing they did was make sure my insurance covered the appointment and all along I said I didn't care about the charge to see a doctor. They do not listen and again only goal is to make money and not take care of struggling cancer patients!!
