Arrived late but good customer service
My family planned a Thanksgiving trip from Texas to North Carolina to visit my parents. They requested that I cook a brisket for the holiday. So I ordered a 10-13 lbs brisket on 20 Nov 25. I was contacted that evening that this size was unavailable, and if I wanted it to arrive before Thanksgiving, I would need to upgrade to a larger size for $25. I agreed and was assured the brisket would arrive on Monday. The next day, I was told the brisket would not be sent out until Monday, November 24, and that since I chose overnight, it would arrive on Tuesday, the 25th. I asked Jay why this is called overnight, even though I initially placed the order on the 20th. Anyways, the Brisket didn't arrive until around 6 pm on Wednesday, the 26th, frozen, with no way to prepare it before Thanksgiving. So now there is a $160 piece of meat just sitting in my parents' freezer..... If I had been told that this might happen, I would have found another way to get a brisket there. This was a shame because when it arrived, it was an absolutely gorgeous piece of meat. However, Gabriel, the cofounder of the company, reached out to me personally to make this right and refunded my shipping costs.
