Getting tutoring from you guys was the best decision I made while studying for my MCAT. I am still waiting on my results but what I can say from this experience is that my tutor, Sophie, made studying for my test a million times easier! Being able to get her perspective and just knowing she was there to help critique my strategies, help when I was discouraged, and also keep me consistent in my studying made me feel so much more confident and capable in my testing skills. I also feel that the MCAT Mastery team did an amazing job matching me to my tutor as she went through the same experiences that I had gone through before the test day. Overall I will definitely go out of my way to recommend MCAt Mastery to all of my fellow classmates and friends who are struggling with their MCAT studying or if they just need help starting out!

I had a great experience with Pooja. I worked with her for two weeks and in those two weeks I had improved on my cars score. She was very helpful and had a holistic approach.

​I had ten sessions with Shahar through MCAT Mastery. He helped me tremendously to prepare for the MCAT. He listened to my struggles with the MCAT and helped me prioritize what to work on. He then walked me through how he approached the passages in real time (including what to highlight!) and gave me feedback on my thought process while I went through the passage with him. He told me my self-doubt was holding me back from getting a higher score, and it was true! Thanks to him, I overcame my score plateau and scored competitively enough for my target school. Working with Olivia Paraschos was a phenomenal experience, she really knows the MCAT exam to a high level! Before tutoring with Olivia I had trouble with CARS in general, analyzing figures in BIO and C/P, and doing the math in C/P. Olivia helped me understand my problems and gave me great solutions to help fix them. I would highly recommend Olivia to anybody out there who needs a helping hand with the things mentioned above. She explains complex concepts in a simple manner that really helps you understand everything better. Olivia can also help you with medical school application questions and she has a great insight of how the process works.

I took the MCAT Mastery CARS strategy course as well as one-on-one MCAT CARS tutoring. I took about 10-15 sessions and my tutor Nate did an excellent job helping me improve my reading comprehension/speed rather than just teaching me test-taking hacks. I got a 129 (95th percentile CARS score), 3 points higher than my best practice exam. My overall MCAT was a 520 (3 pts higher than my best practice exam score). He did a good job keeping me motivated. :)

How does one describe Merrina Lan? One can say that she is patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable. However, in the short time that I've gotten to work with her, I realize these words aren't enough. The way that she teaches is confidence building and methodical without feeling too overwhelming or strenuous. Instead of giving you the answer to your struggle she leaves you strategic breadcrumbs to follow so you can finish a problem on your own without having revealed too much. She has closed my content gap essentially shut. She has taught me techniques and strategies that help me amplify what I already knew, and put it to good use. When I first started working with her, I didn't think I could ever break 500. Suffice to say breaking 500 is no longer a concern or a problem for me. I will be updating with my real MCAT score soon, if anything to just compound the huge difference that she has made for me. I strongly believe that Merrina does not make repeat customers, only success stories.

Varun Saxena was an amazing tutor, he let me actively try all the problems before helping which really helped my confidence. Knew so much about the exam and made a really detailed schedule for me and gave me advice that really helped me on test day. Helped me with every subject and helped me get my practice scores up. Highly recommend MCAT mastery and especially my tutor Varun!

Amna was a great CARS tutor. She took the time to go through passages with me to implement the strategies that we had talked about. I feel a lot more confident about the section after working with her. I would highly recommend her as a tutor for anyone struggling with CARS.

My first MCAT score was 488. I tried studying on my own for 3 months, but it was clearly not working for me. However, the strategies I learned from Hieu in less than 2 months made all the difference. My last three practice tests were of at least a 504. I'll be taking my MCAT this week and feel very confident that I'll do great. I'm very thankful for having such a great tutor.

Shahar was an amazing teacher! He made what was complicated so simple and really broke down what information to pay attention to the key ideas. I personally thought highlighting was too time-consuming but it turned out to be extremely helpful and did not waste time at all! He would also always ask how I'm doing and genuinely care about my mental well being as well. I would recommend Shahar to everyone who needs a tutor! :)

My tutor was Pooja Kadakia. She is absolutely AMAZING! She took the time to teach me how to actually read and organize complex/daunting MCAT passages. She gave me tools and tricks that increased my overall score by more than 12 points in less than 2 months. She showed me how the MCAT passage/question wording is not meant to trick you, which immensely helped with my testing anxiety. She was incredibly encouraging and always took the time to make sure I was doing ok. I truly cannot thank her enough!

I had the pleasure of having Hieu as my tutor. I had been studying for 3.5 months and saw no improvements. I was stuck at a 500ish for the longest time and was feeling very frustrated. I was mainly struggling with running out of time and just not being confident in myself. With about 1.5 months of work with Hieu I was able to get to a 507 on the practice test before my MCAT. I definitely feel like I did even better and was confident throughout the test with very little feelings of testing anxiety which completely ruined me during my previous practice exams. Hieu was amazing and made me feel confident in my abilities and helped me improve my timing to having 5+ minutes left on each section. With his help I was able to improve so much and finally combat the mental aspect of the exam. Thank you for all your help!

Justin was a wonderful MCAT tutor. He was always willing to help in any way possible. He always had new strategies to teach me if the previous one wasn't working. He went out of his way to send me extra resources in his free time. In the 3 short weeks of learning with him, I saw my score increase by 8 points! Justin was always present, and willing to give me a boost of confidence whenever needed. Overall he was an awesome tutor and I enjoyed my experience with him very much.

Pooja Kadakia was my tutor after a somewhat negative experience and I must say I was more than excited and grateful to have been appointed to her. She was helpful specifically in how she targeted and probed my cognition of different aspects of MCAT material. I started connecting the dots throughout passages at a smoother as well as faster rate. I was able to synthesize main ideas and viewpoints of the material with overall greater comprehension. She is great!

Adam was a great tutor who took the time to help fully explain problems that I was getting wrong. He helped me discover my weak spots and how to take a new look at science passages. I'm hoping with Adam's help I received the score I needed

My tutor (Adam) listened to my struggles and concerns and actively addressed them every single session. As my scores and knowledge grew, so did my confidence in myself in large part due to my Adam!

My tutor, Merrina, was so helpful in breaking down and explaining difficult concepts to me. She was patient, thorough and very encouraging during our tutoring sessions! She answered any additional questions I had and made sure I was able to apply the information we covered during our sessions. Hanes was great, patient and provided good guidance throughout the 10 CARS sessions. He knows exactly how to discern the right answer, and can help you identify mistake/thought patterns not congruent with AAMC logic. I'd highly suggest him to future CARS mastery seekers.

Mehul was really wonderful to work with. I lacked a lot of confidence and was very burnt out from my MCAT prep and he renewed a lot of positive feelings and confidence. His strategies helped take some pressure off and just having a partner in this helped to get me out of my own head a bit. I would absolutely recommend Mehul as a tutor!
