Medshare Avis 

I moved to Oxford in September 2025 into shared accommodation managed by MedShare. From day one - MedShare made my journey both easy and pleasant.

From securing the accommodation and right through to living in it, MedShare have been brilliant. The houses are well maintained and all maintenance requests are tended to swiftly. Many times Vicky from MedShare has gone above and beyond to ensure we are never waiting more than a few days to have requests resolved!! As a company and Vicky as an individual - they really are amazing!!

I have found the MedShare management team to be helpful, approachable, flexible, fun and very kind in their approach.

In addition to the competence with which MedShare manage the house, they also arrange regular socials - such as pumpkin carving, dinners, and treats for pancake day!! Thus, encouraging a social aspect to the community! For someone who has moved away from friends and family - these added activities have been most welcomed.

So thank you MedShare for making my journey to and in Oxford a happy and smooth one! :)

MedShare House is a comfortable and well-managed place. The environment is generally quiet and friendly, and the shared spaces are kept clean and functional. Management is responsive and makes an effort to address issues in a timely manner.
Vicky has been a great property manager throughout, She’s approachable, responsive, and handles issues in a timely and professional manner.

Excellent service and regular house maintenance. They take the experience to a new level where tenants are treated like “one family”. I would like to highlight the exceptional support I get from all the team and Vicky in particular. She is Always approachable even on weekends and out of hours for emergencies. She always sorts everything out quickly without hesitation. I have been a long term tenant with them due to the excellent service they provide.
They respond quickly to any issues or fixations needed and probably the best in communication with the tenants for any planned maintenance in the property.

I’ve had a really positive experience with Medshare. The property is very modern, extremely clean, and clearly built to a high standard. The build quality is excellent throughout, and the house is always kept tidy and well maintained, especially the communal areas.

The rooms are spacious, bright, and comfortable, which makes it a great place to live. The overall atmosphere in the house is welcoming, and the housemates have been friendly and respectful, which really adds to the experience.

A special mention to Vicky, who has been absolutely fantastic. She is welcoming, professional, and approachable, and a real joy to deal with. She makes everything run smoothly and genuinely cares about both the property and the tenants.

I would highly recommend Medshare to anyone looking for high-quality, well-managed HMO accommodation.

My experience with Medshare has been excellent. Moving to a new area can feel daunting, but living here has made the transition smooth and enjoyable.

The lettings manager, Vicky, deserves special recognition. She has been consistently helpful and professional, ensuring all maintenance matters are resolved both promptly and efficiently. When repairs are needed, the handyman Kevin arrives on time, works with care, and is always polite and respectful.

My house is clean, well-kept and I’ve been fortunate to share it with genuinely kind housemates.

What really sets Medshare apart are their regular social events for residents. As someone new to the area, I’ve found these gatherings invaluable. They’re a thoughtful and brilliant way to meet people and feel part of a community.

I wholeheartedly recommend Medshare to anyone looking for a rental that is not only well-managed but also fosters a friendly and connected living environment.

I am surprised I am writing a poor review given the nice tone of communication I received prior to my viewing and during, however there were several things that did not sit well with me in my experience.

1) The houses have too many rooms for their size. 5 bedroom houses are converted into 10 bed HMO’s with limited parking, with restricted communal space and no living rooms in properties. This gives a hostel feel rather than a home.

2) After pressure to pay a deposit due to supposed interest from other tenants (I was provided no evidence of this), I paid late on the evening of the viewing. The next morning, an alternative option came about, which I pursued.

I was not given any receipt of the deposit being received, nor did I provide any references, or have any evidence that they had performed any admin or lost any tenants, but refused to return a penny of my £225 deposit. The entire period to which I agreed to the room (12 hours) was also outside of office hours (Friday night / early Saturday morning).

Upon talking with external parties, and an ex-landlord, their conclusion is that whilst this is legally allowed, given the timeline, cost of deposit (up to £100 would be reasonable to keep) and poor communication on their part, it is reflective of a business that operates in an unjust manner.

I Would Avoid at Any Cost

I hesitated to write this review out of consideration for the good experiences and genuinely nice people I met over the last two years. However, the reason I left this agency — and why I strongly would not recommend them to anyone — is the level of disrespect I experienced lately during my tenancy.

When I first joined, they seemed like kind, professional people, but as their business grew, their attitude completely changed. Some team members — for example, a plumber they sent out — would make inappropriate comments about things in my room or even how I parked my car. They behaved as if tenants were living in a hostel under their supervision rather than paying - decent amount of money- customers renting their own private space.

When I moved out, things got even worse. I asked for my deposit to be returned and, to make the process easier, even agreed to have them book a professional cleaner for £125. Later, they claimed that the cleaning “didn’t include carpet cleaning” and decided to deduct a total of £317 from my deposit — threatening to charge me for a new carpet (even though a new tenant had already moved in!).

At this point, it isn't just about the money — it was about principle. I’m fully prepared to dispute these charges and challenge their disrespectful and greedy behaviour, no matter the cost.

On a positive note, I did meet some lovely housemates (though not all), and I appreciate Vicky — the main agent — who was genuinely kind and personable on an individual level.

In short: I would avoid this letting agency at any cost.

I have lived in one of the houses managed by Medshare for over 2 years in Oxford. Vicky is a phenomenal property manager! She is always approachable and takes cognisance of requests promptly. The houses are beautifully decorated and very well maintained. Kevin who looks after maintenance is prompt at fixing any issues with minimal disturbance.
Vicky goes above and beyond to ensure that the house is a right mix of like-minded people wherever she can, which makes living in Medshare houses even more enjoyable.
I highly recommend them to anyone looking to move to Oxford or any other area they cover.

I have lived in one the Medshare house for the last 2 years. From day one, Vicky has always been very welcoming and approachable. The house is maintained to a high standard and beautifully decorated. Vicky looks after all of us and has been fantastic, very supportive and friendly. She's always on hand to answer any queries and maitenance issues get seen to so efficiently. Vicky isn't just your typical property manager, she's paid attention to our well-being, arranging regular social events and gatherings and always taking the time to check-in with us. I've made some amazing friendships and I highly recommend moving in with Medshare if you need a new place to call home.

I lived in one of their properties when I was in the UK for the past one year. They were professional and I had a good experience with their management from start to finish. In particular, the Head of Lettings, Vicky was very prompt in responding to questions and efficient in resolving any concerns/issues when raised.

This team has designed such a beautiful home and provide such a friendly and professional service. I recommend them so much! 💛
