What you described is not the experience we aim to provide, and we take this very seriously. From your feedback, it seems like the issue may have been related to the older UI version, where there were known limitations with screen sharing and unmuting in certain environments.

The good news is that we have recently released a NEW UI, where these issues have been addressed and significantly improved. Many users are now experiencing much more stable performance, including smoother screen sharing and audio controls.

Regarding the issue where participants were unable to see your video feed, this can sometimes happen due to a few possible factors such as device resource limitations, browser extensions, antivirus or security software blocking video streams, or internet bandwidth constraints. Meet Hour is fully compatible with Apple devices, including Mac computers, iPhones, and Safari browser, as well as other major browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. We also provide dedicated mobile apps for iOS and desktop support for macOS.

In most cases, audio issues occur when the microphone and camera permissions are not allowed in the browser or device settings when joining the meeting. Whether you join as a registered user or as a guest, the audio should work the same way once the proper permissions are granted.

Regarding the sound quality and echo issue — in most cases, echo occurs due to microphone and speaker feedback (for example, when participants join from multiple devices in the same room, use external speakers without headphones, or have system audio enhancements enabled). Our platform includes echo cancellation and noise suppression, but setup conditions can sometimes affect performance. We would have been happy to troubleshoot this with you in real time.

Hello,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Could you please confirm if the sound you heard was the notification tone that plays when a participant is in the lobby, or if it was feedback caused by both participants sitting in the same location (which can create microphone noise)?

If it’s the notification tone, please note that it’s designed to alert the host when someone joins while they’re outside the meeting window. However, this can be disabled while scheduling the meeting if preferred.
