Don’t abide by there warranty!

purchased a property on the 10/25 and one of the conditions of the sale was to have the small tired shower resealed and grouted.
Megasealed charged the owner at the time $1800 for a job that should’ve only costed $1000 max!
After 8 months the silicone is coming away and the grout is rough and mould builds up within 2 weeks!
Megasealed gave the option to the previous owner to retile the shower at a cost of 6k because they wouldn’t guarantee silicone would stick to painted tiles.
After 8 months the silicone is coming unstuck and i am stuck with a shower that’s not much better than before the job was done!
Megasealed have said they won’t re silicone because they don’t touch tiles that have been painted however they still did the job!
So basically they have charged the previous owner a exorbitant price to do a patch up job for sale and i’ve been shafted!
It’s like like selling a car that burns oil and the owner gets a mechanic to put a additive in the oil to stop the oil burning for a quick sale!
Megasealed are crooks!

Not a Good Experience

The tradesman tried to come to the appointment 1 hour before the agreed time. He then did not listen to what I needed. I wanted a simple sealant replacement and he tried to upsell me a huge range of things that I did not need or ask for. He then got stroppy when I told him that I no longer wished to continue with the quote.

Mega sealed permanently ruined my…

Mega sealed permanently ruined my balcony tiles.

They charged me $3k to seal them, then put the seal on without cleaning the tiles first. The seal was so poorly done I had to pay someone else $1.5k to remove it but the damage was done.

Melbourne: Rough job and grout put down waste which clogged

**Edit** Company got in contact and came and fixed the silicone and a professional job was done. Review stars increased as they came to fix the issue.

Tradesman put discarded grout and toilet paper down my vanity sink which caused it to clog up. There is also somediscarded grout down my shower waste but as they glued the waste with resin I can't open it to investigate or get it out.

Job done was rough with flecks of white in grey grout and the silicone around the base is shoddy. Contacted company with photos but they havent bothered to contact me to discuss, etc.

Northwest Area-Horrible tradesman and customer service

My review is for the Northwest Area
From the start it was awful, tradesmen communication, then all the damage he caused with the shower screen and cornices. Customer service from the manager was even worse as they did not really care. My complaint was not taken serious and palmed off, they just wanted their money. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM, my bathroom is now looking terrible with damaged tiles, damaged cornices, a new screen install that was not the same fit. I still had to pay full price. Cheap and messy work.

Rude and Lying Company

Horribly unprofessional and poor quality service. Showed up 5-6hrs after agreed time every day and had to extend works by 3 days including over the weekend and then did not even end up finishing the works. Left our shower without a door and a pile of tiles in our garage, and also radio silence on their end when I tried to contact them in 3 different ways to resolve these issues. Tricia Taylor was responsible for the booking and refused to reply to my questions and Johann was the tradesman who lacks time management and courtesy.

For Megasealed Artarmon in Sydney

For Megasealed Artarmon in Sydney. They were sent out to inspect a known leak in a shower. Their report even acknowledges this. A few months after their “work” - the shower is still leaking. When I rang their office, their female employee said “All we did was regrout the shower”. They use fancy “Megasealed”
terms in their quote to give the impression that they are fixing your leaks but they are just charging you large sums of money for jobs you can do yourself. My Mum had a similar problem with this company in WA. Don’t waste your money; avoid these fraudsters. Better off paying a proper plumber to do the job right once and for all.

It asks me what when wrong

It asks me what when wrong? It should ask what didn't, we have been dealing g with this absolute joke of a company for near on two years, first they stuffed up the quote, then blamed our owner, then stuffed up the basin, then blamed the owner, then they came out made a new basin out if concrete and tiles, we though yay finally fixed, nope not a hope in whatever God you pray too. They installed old shower screen which they had made for old basin, crooked as your best mates dog leg, then packed it with silicone, breaking a tile in the process, yep you guessed stsring leaking and mould forming within 4 days, been 6 months of fighting, still not fixed, silicone man coming, going to replace the silicone as God help you if the mould looks bad they can at least claim its fixed as its looks pretty, still going to leak like a sieve, the owner was supposed to be one if the better ones but he's as useless as the rest of his knock up crew, with the exception of a lovely Irishman who has been very pleasant. Don't I mean don't use these guys.

Impressive customer service

I encountered a few issues at first, but Sonia provided outstanding support and quickly resolved them. It's rare to find a company that truly stands behind its product and service, and I appreciate the commitment to customer satisfaction.

Lack of proper scheduling, booking, and admin processes.

I had a quote booked for Thursday at 3:30 PM, but they arrived on Monday at 3:30—three days early. As a single parent, I might have had other commitments related to my son's after-school activities. Please ensure better attention to your scheduling and bookkeeping.

I asked Megaseal to give me a quote on retailing a bathroom and fitting a new shower screen

I asked Megaseal to give me a quote on retiling a part of my bathroom and putting in a new shower screen.

From the onset they were very professional. Nadir who did the tiling worked very hard, he always arrived on time and messaged me on when he would be there. He was also very pleasant and did a great job. I would have no trouble recommending this company or using them again.

Laundry Tiling

Megasealed Canberra

I asked Megasealed to quote on tiling my laundry from floor to ceiling, installing a bench tap and converting the plumbing to a mixer.

From first contact with the office, to the sale rep attending and the work being carried out the experience has been wonderful, and it looks amazing.

Their products are poor quality and…

Their products are poor quality and often require multiple visits to fix issues. Ultimately, we had to hire a more reliable service. The warranty representative was dishonest, often spinning situations even after warranty repairs. Her attitude suggested she owned the business, yet she may be harming their reputation. I spoke with three other customers who had similar experiences. For a more honest, hassle-free experience, consider a company with products that won’t fail repeatedly and require exhausting, costly follow-ups.

These grubs did a dodgy job on our…

These grubs did a dodgy job on our shower last year in January now all the walls in our bathroom have to be ripped out cause they are full of black mould
They have done nothing to accommodate us and the building inspector said the place is unfit to live and will take two months to fix mega sealed have offered $1000 dollars to relocate us that will only cover about three days in a Airbnb
Tori from there Beenleigh office didn’t think it was an emergency and was absolutely no help what so ever and did not care my family and I are still breathing in this black mould
There workers came and ripped the shower out and left all the mouldy tiles in buckets at our front door and the big sheets of glass from the shower just leaning up against the wall outside my sons room
These guys are so unprofessional and way overpriced for there rubbish work ..do not let mega sealed do any work in your house you will regret it.

Danny did a fantastic job. The shower looks fabulous. Danny was very professional obviously a very good tradesman and a very pleasant man to have in our home.

Can I go 'NO STARS"

Can I go 'NO STARS" - not one. My experience with this company ,and more especially Monique ,the owner of this franchise, has been dismal. Monique's company, services the South East surburbs of Melbourne.
I wanted someone to ensure that there were no leaks in my bathroom. There was mould forming downstairs in my laundry.
Jay, the assessor, came over and determined that the shower could be sealed, the missing grout from tiles outside the shower will be fixed and he identified one cracked tile in the shower. For this the shower screen had to be removed and the tile had to be epoxied. This added another $550 to the quote.I agreed. I decided to go with this higher quote because it seemed that Megaseal is a bigger franchise and are more likely to honour and tend to issues if they develop.

When the job was eventually done ( Monique has very unprofessional with communications - delays due to 'board meetings' and 'being on the road' and 'illness') - I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the job. We now had:
1. a broken shower head.
2. Now there were FOUR cracked tiles
3. The silicon was put very untidily
4. The grout in the tiles were black - did not match the grey of the rest of the bathroom.

She was argumentative from the very start and very rude and unprofessional. She said that those tiles were cracked before the technician started the job - even though her assessor did not identify them. She eventually came for a site visit but came 'armed '
to say - this is not 'OUR FAULT!!!'

She even had the audicity to say 'out of 10000 bathrooms that she has fixed this was the most vile and disgusting shower ever' If I could add pics here I could show how very untrue this statement was.
Eventually she offered a 15% discount. But this was not satisfactory for me - what use was paying close to $2K for a shower that still needed fixing?

My text to her :-
“I want someone to come over and neaten the job. I'll show you some before and after pics of some "disgusting" showers that was made to look good again with good workmanship.

I want the black grout replaced to a matching color I want the new shower head dropped off for us to pay a plumber to replace And 15% off as offered And warranties in place.

Her reply - it is still not clear what you want of us.
