I placed an order for flowers on…
I placed an order for flowers on Thursday. By Friday morning (within 10 hours of placing the order), I received an email advising that my order could not be fulfilled because the flowers were out of stock and delivery was not available on the selected date.
As the company was unable to provide what I had paid for, I immediately tried to cancel my order. My email was rejected, so I called customer service instead. Throughout the day I spoke to multiple different staff members, all of whom gave conflicting information. Despite the company being unable to fulfil my order, they refused to provide a full refund.
Each time I requested that my order be cancelled and refunded, I would then receive another email offering store credit or advising they would attempt to deliver a different gift on another date—despite me making it very clear that I no longer wanted the order.
The customer service experience, including the online chat bot, has been one of the most frustrating I've ever encountered. Rather than resolving the issue, I continue to receive multiple emails encouraging me to keep my order instead of addressing my refund request.
This has been the worst customer service experience I've had with an online retailer. If a business cannot fulfil an order, customers should not have to fight for a refund. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Do not purchase from this company. Mel's Flowers is in fact Bloomex Flowers, just read all the negative news articles about them. Avoid, avoid, AVOID! I purchased and paid for a next day delivery, several hours after my purchase I received an email saying my delivery address was "outside the area" and would be delivered within the next few days. At no point while I was placing the order was I notified my delivery address was outside the area, otherwise I would've purchased elsewhere. So, my flowers that I paid nearly $200 for, sat in a courier van for at least 48 hours, and delivered in who knows what condition, but most definetely not fresh as advertised. I emailed "Mel's Flowers" and the response from them was extremely disappointing, they couldn't have cared less. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!
Extremely bad customer service
I ordered flowers. Received a call from someone in Europe to say they couldn't provide the roses only order I made and would I like to choose other flowers. I said no I only wanted roses as it was a special occasion. I asked them to cancel the order as I only wanted roses, I specifically instructed the caller that I did not want funds taken out of my account and to cancel the order.
A very SUBSTANDARD, pathetic flower arrangement was delivered to the recipient and funds were deducted from my account.
I rang to make a complaint on 24.06.26 and was told to write an email. I wrote an email with a complaint. I have not had a reply.
I would suggest that no-one use this service if ordering for Australia. Extremely disappointed.

This company is a scam don’t use them !! They are dishonest and deceiving.. They never delivered flowers that were ordered when I tried to cancel my order they said they would, however every time I phoned their number to follow up I got the same answer “ yes we are waiting to hear from the warehouse” and kept on putting me off It’s a scam don’t waste your money because they will screw you. It’s based in Canada I think but have call centre in India

We had a lovely lady retiring from work & ordered deluxe sized flowers to be delivered to the workplace before her knock off time. I received a phone call from the courier half an hour before the delivery cut off time telling me she wasn't going to make it by COB & asked for my home address. I told her that doesn't suit because the flowers were for a co-worker that was retiring & the flowers were going to be presented to her from the Director along with speeches at the end of the day. I asked her to cancel the order & I left work to get another bunch from somewhere else. The delivery lady arrives as I am leaving work with a little box that supposedly had these "Deluxe" bunch of flowers in it... I reiterated to her that I cancelled this order & will not be accepting it as I had to go & purchase another bunch & will be contacting the company for a refund. She called the "office" whle she was here & explained the situation... I assume, as she was speaking in another language... & when she hung up she told me that they would refund me, apologised & left.
I received an email this morning saying that they will not be refunding. I tried emailing back but emails bounce back due to full mailbox. The phone number on the website is some sort of Call Centre that can't do anything about anything. It is impossible to get through to speak to anyone - this company is a SCAM. BUYERS BEWARE!

Absolutely shocking service. Paid a premium price, the flowers weren’t delivered on time, they sent the wrong flowers, the vase was missing, and then refused to give me a refund. Zero accountability and a complete waste of money. I will never use this florist again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Terrible terrible customer service, took me friends money, then proceeded to say they don’t deliver to my address so they would send a hamper of the same monetary value, I received a hamper of crackers costing no more than $10!! It looked like someone had just gone to their own pantry and got out some things! My friend paid close to $100 initially for flowers!!! I reached out to customer service to get my friends money back and they replied with sorry for the inconvenience but no there is nothing they could do! Ordered flowers for my aunty 104 birthday, told me delivered but they where nowhere to be see by staff at nursing home anyway after several ph calls still no luck and delivery telling me it went through bloomex which if had know that I would never of used mels flowers so said star trak delivered, hours later after I rang nearby places staff found them they had been dropped off with medical supplies noone alerted to flowers so all put in supply cupboard box flowers in was crushed balloon deflated and flowers had seen better days so I would think twice about using them service is terrible

Ordered flowers to be delivered Saturday to a friend, emailed and told me an hour later that delivery would be Tuesday, ordered them with a vase, paid a lot of money, did not get the vase. Would not refund after initial email so had to wait for delivery. The flowers ordered were not the flowers delivered as well!! NOT happy!! Will never use again!

I too would give Mels Flowers zero stars if I could. I purchased a "50 roses" arrangement for my mum, and it arrived (on time) with 16 roses. I paid over $100 for 16 roses. Over 30 emails later, I have given up on any compensation whatsoever. The emails are convoluted, from different people, with no idea as to what the previous person wrote.....or do they care. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. I cannot stress enough - DO NOT USE MELS FLOWERS

Ordered and paid for same day delivery. Received an email later that day that they cannot deliver so they forwarded my order onto Bloomex to deliver 2 days later with a gourmet product included for my inconvenience. Bloomex delivered 3 days later smaller flowers with no gourmet product included and No Card attached! Emailing both companies of my disgust I was offered NO compensation whatsoever. Do NOT use this company or Bloomex. They Don’t care…..
This florist was a mistake
Sadly, I cannot recommend this florist for several reasons:
- The delivery ignored the simple instructions about which door to deliver the flowers to. My elderly grandmother had no idea of the flowers for several days as a result and only received them once they had wilted.
- I received no confirmation of delivery
- When I rang to confirm if they had arrived, I was met with disappointingly rude customer service to the simple question of "have they arrived".
Ultimately, this was an expensive ($150), prolonged and frustrating experience in attempting to deliver sympathy flowers to an elderly woman. As per another reviewer "I would give zero stars if I could".

Totally giving this NO stars! Worst experience ordering flowers! Don’t waste your money! They didn’t have flowers available so asked if I’d like a gourmet gift box instead and got 5 snack items from the supermarket that wouldn’t have even cost $10 and I paid $80 for it! They also didn’t refund only offered store credit unless I returned the items. Not asking my sister in law to return the shit items that were meant for her birthday that’s insane! Wish I could post a pic of the items!

Claimed same day delivery so I ordered. Emailed at 2pm after no shipping info was updated. Was assured it was coming today and that there's just an issue with the updates. Emailed at 4 and again at 4:45 they finally got back to me and stated it had been delivered when it hadn't. Refused to give refund. Shipping info says its still being packed. Have disputed with my bank.

Wish I read reviews prior to ordering. Similar to others I would never purchase from this company again or recommend to others.
Purchased sympathy flowers for a colleague and paid same shipping to ensure they arrived on the day. later received an email to say that the postcode was outside of same day delivery yet it allowed me to enter that postcode with no errors and proceeded to accept my money.
Escalated and asked for my experience to be reviewed but don't waste your time as it has already been over a week with no response.
Pathetic bunch of flowers!
I can see why Mel's Flowers have received such a low rating. I used them recently to order a bouquet of flowers for a special occasion for my sister, persuaded by the image on their website. I paid the extra for next-day delivery, and on all accounts they failed miserably. The flowers that were delivered were sub-par. They were delivered three days late, and there was very little effort to give me a proper explanation as to what was going on.
In the middle of it all, they also said that some of the flowers that had been displayed in the image were not available and they would replace them. When the actual flowers were delivered, they were a pathetic bunch of flowers, an embarrassment, which, when you're delivering a present on a special day, is absolutely not acceptable.
I contacted the company and expressed my views strongly, and all they've offered me was a paltry credit, as if I'm going to ever use them again, which I shan't. I would encourage other people not to do so. There are so many other providers who can provide a better service. Goodbye and good riddance.

I would NEVER use this company again. 5 days for a flower delivery after paying same day delivery then the “courier” (StarTrack) took it to the post office.. it didn’t even require a signature. The receiver had a broken ankle and just got out of hospital.. so very stressful for her to have to get someone to pick it up for her, they looked wilted and brown. Extremely embarrassed.
To top it off, the day they were ordered, the flowers were apparently out of stock and just told we were getting a random selection.. would never recommend them.

They advised last second that the bouquet ordered was NLA and they substituted it without telling us what it would look like. Customer service hung up on me when I asked for an explanation. I've lodged a dispute with the bank. This experience has been absolutely appalling.
