MBM coaching

Having struggled with eating disorders, restriction, and excessive exercising in the past, I was understandably hesitant about online coaching but taking the leap with the MBM team in August 2025 has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
From the very beginning, they approached my journey with such care and understanding. Not only has my relationship with food improved tremendously, but I now step into the gym with a confidence I never thought possible. I’ve gained a clear understanding of body recomposition and what it truly means to work with my body rather than against it.
The transformation I’ve experienced both physically and mentally has been nothing short of life-changing. I feel stronger, healthier, and more at peace with myself than I ever have. If you’re on the fence, especially if you have a complicated history with food or exercise, I cannot recommend Maya and her community highly enough.

Update 9 months later:

I previously left a review a few weeks after I started with Maya back in the summer. Early on, I was genuinely pleased with how everything was going and could tell that she genuinely cared about customised progress for each client. All of the women in the group have similarities (such as wanting a healthy approach to lifestyle changes) however, we're also all very different and Maya genuinely goes above and beyond to make sure that each client feels welcomed, heard, seen and feels part of the community.

I remember when I first considered joining, I was a bit hesitant and actually came on Trustpilot to see what past/current clients had to say. Even though I was hesitant, I joined the community and every target that I came for - I have exceeded. It's not all about numbers though. I only wanted weight loss, however, so many other aspects of my life have improved and her programme is so much more than weight loss or body goals. Yes - it is a big part of it. However, there is so much information and education that comes with the programme.

If anyone is reading this and is on the fence like I was, I cannot recommend it enough. This is not a programme that you join and won't see progress. If you follow the plan given - genuinely, you will see results. I say this as someone with PCOS. I have lost 29.5cm around my tummy, 18.2kg in weight and have done this without any crash dieting. In fact, it's the opposite. I've found a little routine that works for me and have added so many years to my life by taking the 9 months to invest in my health.

I went back to Maya post baby…

I went to Maya for the second time after having my first baby. The first time around it was more about feeling confident for summer. This time there was much more of a holistic approach to rehabilitation post baby and feeling like myself again. We set manageable goals and honestly even if I didn’t show up 100% all the time - new baby and all that - Maya still supported me to reach my goals. I really needed accountability and I managed to smash all the goals we set. Thank you so much and I’m hoping to continue my journey independently with everything I have learnt.

A female cultural coach to help me address my diet and be consistent with the gym

I contacted Maya because I wanted a female coach who would understand what women face and I liked the cultural coaching aspect as well. She’s mostly taught me how to address my diet, manage my training within my context of a stressful and busy job. I’ve learned to revisit my expectations of myself while being consistent with doing some form of exercise. To give you an idea: I’ve lost 11kg and have been maintained it ever since , I’ve taken part in 2 10K races which I had never done before, lost 13cm around my hips, more than 11cm around my tummy, took part in a sort of Hyrox race and I look so much stronger now; it’s still a bit mad when I think about it!

Loved working with the MBM team…

Loved working with the MBM team and being a part of the community. Maya is very knowledgeable and amazing at what she does. So pleased I took the plunge and started working with her. I’ve grown in confidence and strength in just 6 months. Imagine where I’d be in a year!?

Best coaches for cultural women

I started with Mentored by Maya in March this year after attending their Femtor galentine’s event in February. I learnt a lot during the Femtor event and had been wanting to take fitness seriously so I took the chance with their coaching. Everything about their service has been amazing. From the hands on approach with Ketsia as my coach, having access to different cultural based food recipes, workouts laid out for me, weekly check ins, being part of a community of like minded women who encourage each other, frequent webinars and lifestyle education relating to fitness, regular challenges that makes fitness more fun and many many more. I saw progress week after week and Ketsia was always there to encourage and support me every step of the way, even when things seemed challenging. I wouldn’t be where I am in my fitness journey without them. If you’re looking to get a fitness coach, absolutely choose Mentored by Maya, you won’t regret it.

If I could give more stars I would

If I could give more stars I would. I joined MBM to get me back on track with training after an injury and within 3 months of being with Maya and Ketsia, I’m more than back on track. They’re the most caring people I’ve come across in every sense of the word. They actually listen to you and what your goals are and give you realistic lead times and exceed expectations with their service. If I could go back a year from now, I would tell myself to join the community they have created 1000000 times over!!

Incredible team and group of ladies!

I'm a few weeks with Maya and the Mentored by Maya team and I'm eating better, I'm going the gym on the days/ sessions set up for me, I'm learning a lot and pushing myself to the maximum. I used to go the gym as an when I felt like it, and similarly with healthy eating but having someone help me stay on track and keep me accountable is helping me stay focused and dedicated to the end goal. The ladies are so warm and welcoming, they push you to want to be better and couldn't be more helpful with all the advice/tips/tricks that are posted. Thoroughly enjoying my journey so far.

Highly Recommended

I found MBM on Instagram and built a real relationship with Maya initially through DMs a year ago. These are coaches who genuinely care about people and not just the results but finding sustainable ways to get there.

I started on their 8 week group program (Femtor) in April of this year before making the decision to move onto 1-2-1 coaching after seeing results on the initial 8 week program.

Mentored by Maya is not just a coaching platform but also a community. There are regular group calls, discussions on important and female-focused topics and you have open access to the coaches 99% of the time. They coach exactly how you best receive coaching, with a tailored approach to every individual and I can honestly say I have made some great progress in the last couple of months. Ive not only lost weight (HEALTHILY! And without restricting my diet!) but also changed my lifestyle which I believe I will be able to maintain after I leave MBM.

My coach Ketsia, is kind, genuine, honest and supportive and she is like a big sister who just wants the best for her clients. If you are considering whether or not to join MBM or even any FEMTOR events, I highly recommend MBM.

MBM is amazing

Started a six month journey with MBM in December after a lot of deliberation I decided to do something for myself and i’m so glad I did! I had tried so many different diets exercise classes and I just couldn’t shift my extra weight from my last pregnancy 4 years pp turns out I just needed the support, encouragement and guidance from a coach but a coach who is invested and cares about your goals! who takes all things into consideration family life stresses etc and who’s knowledge is second to none the whole programme is motivating supportive and very educational which in turn gives you the confidence to continue your journey independently when it comes to an end I honestly cant thank the team enough and look forward to working with you guys in the future xxx

100% recommend !!

One of the main points of interest for me before joining was the inclusion of cultural foods in a healthy diet. As a South Asian woman, whenever I tried to diet or eat a healthier diet, I found it difficult to find meals that incorporated many of my daily cultural foods. Finding a community where the inclusion of my cultural meals is encouraged and shared has been so nice being able to make things work in a way that still feels familiar and comforting. That made a huge difference for me.

Being part of Mentored by Maya has honestly meant a lot to me mentally as well, I went through some tough times during the program, and Ketsia was always there - checking in, encouraging me, and just making sure I was okay.

She never made me feel like I was falling behind or failing. Always making sure that I knew she was there to support me which was so nice to hear. Anyone to have either Ketsia or Maya as their coaches are so so lucky.

Ketsia’s kindness and consistency made such a difference. I really felt like I had someone in my corner the whole time. If you’re looking for a program that actually supports you through everything - not just the workouts - this is the one 🫶🏽

Amazing, authentic & knowledgeable team of ladies!

Mentored by Maya is amazing!

Both Maya and Ketsia are amazing ladies who really care about the women they coach. They approach each client with integrity and have built a lovely community between them. They really take the time and care to always be learning and be knowledgeable on everything they preach.

Mentored by Maya is particularly great at working with clients from cultural or ethnic backgrounds where their food is often demonised. They teach you how you can enjoy all the foods you grew up on without sacrificing them for bland plain meals. It makes the process so much more enjoyable!

I’ve been coached Maya and I’ve attended events both herself and Ketsia have hosted. I can honestly say I 1000% recommend them to any women who wants to make a lifestyle change. They approach weight loss and lifestyle changes in such a holistic no fads or bullshit way. They will never recommend you fad diets or the latest trend. They really care about every single one of their clients and have build an empowering community of women alongside that!

What an honour it was to have Ketsia as…

What an honour it was to have Ketsia as my Coach! Helped me understand the nutrition side of things which I had no clue about and helped me get to my body goals. Such a lovely young lady. I would highly recommend using these two young ladies as they know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to body recomp!👏🏾👏🏾

I would definitely recommend MBM to get to your goals quicker or even if you just need a little support…

I was following Maya on TikTok for a while and after a lot of contemplating, decided to book in a call with her. I joined MBMs coaching programme straight after and was working with Ketsia over 16 weeks. Throughout this period I gained so much confidence and discipline. I’ve been going to the gym for years but would always find myself, at some point, demotivated or not going for weeks, sometimes months and then I’d lose all my gains. But since working with Ketsia my fitness and my health has become my number 1 priority. I’ve become so much stronger, seen many changes in my physical appearance and most importantly, my mental health. My programme ran through Ramadan and every year I struggle during this period due to eating restrictions and gym etc. But Maya and Ketsia are both really educated, my programme was tailored to me and they both gave great advice on how to make the most out of training during Ramadan.

I have come across many online coaches and it’s definitely hard to tell who’s genuine, and who just spews a load of crap. But these girls are amazing, so relatable and REAL. The programme really felt like a community, we had so much fun in the group chats and there are others from different walks of life all there to support eachother.
I would definitely recommend MBM to get to your goals quicker or even if you just need a little support. And if you love a scouse accent you’ll love these two for sure😂❤️

Changed my life for the better

Being trained by Ketsia, truly changed my life for the better. From the very beginning, Ketsia supported me wholeheartedly, even during times when I felt like I wasn’t making any progress. Her belief in me never wavered, and that made all the difference. She helped me set clear, achievable goals and guided me through each step with patience, encouragement, and wisdom. Ketsia is a fantastic coach!

Ketsia was a fantastic coach. From the get go she never stopped uplifting me and I learned valuable lessons through her and Maya. They made me understand the importance of making it a lifestyle and I will forever have this experience in my life. MBM ignited a part of me I knew I had I just needed help to discover and thanks to Ketsia and Maya I found it. Totally worth the money and service:)

Amazing amazing amazing - absolutely recommend

I contacted MBM last year after following their socials for a while. What drew me to MBM was the focus on women’s health. I had tried personal trainers in the past and other ‘diets’ and training programmes but nothing had seemed to work - they were all short term, not really personal and I soon slipped back into my old ways of ‘all or nothing’ once those programmes finished. However, working with Ketsia, my mindset totally shifted. The programme was so personal to me as a whole person, my lifestyle, my health, my fitness, my wellbeing. I had concerns I had pcos for some time and Ketsia gave me the confidence in questioning this with health professionals through MBM training, knowledge and support. I was diagnosed 2 months after starting the programme with Ketsia and 2 months after that I fell pregnant!! Which was my ultimate goal after struggling with infertility.

The support from Ketsia and Maya is amazing and something I’ve never had before. It did not feel like a ‘diet’ and I did not dread the workouts. Ketsia also supported me a lot with stress/wellbeing and helped me find a love for different forms of exercise. The support from the whole team, the zoom calls, WhatsApp support, the recipes, education sessions and everything in between is just brilliant. I am taking a break due to early pregnancy but am sure I will be back training with them soon.
