As a 50-year-old woman I suffered all my adult life with bladder problems since giving birth at 21 until I found Maria and the team at MEPS. The PelviPower Chair sessions were absolutely amazing for me and made such a massive difference and continue to do so. Add on top of that the quality advice I received, I couldn't be happier - I just wish I'd have found this place years ago!

Extremely Disappointed with the Lack of Expertise in Complex Cases

Please be cautious if you have a stage 2 or higher prolapse as this clinic does not seem equipped to handle complex pelvic health issues despite its claims. I saw Maria, who is advertised as having over 30 years of experience and being part of one of the UK’s leading pelvic health clinics. Unfortunately, my experience made me seriously question these credentials.

From the very first visit, there was a heavy focus on upselling products rather than providing tailored medical care. Maria recommended a collagen supplement (which they are still researching) and a £200 pelvic floor trainer, neither of which felt appropriate at that stage.
The exercises given were extremely basic and generic, with no proper review or progression by the second session. In fact, during my second visit, I was told to stand up and thrust my hips forward a suggestion that left me baffled as to how it would help with a pelvic organ prolapse.

The most concerning part was being given a product called Contrelle for my uterine prolapse, which, after doing my own research, I found is specifically not recommended for uterine prolapse it’s designed for bladder prolapse only. I emailed Maria twice with this information and received no response. It felt as though she was more interested in charging £200 per session to hear my story rather than providing meaningful support or guidance.

Sadly, this experience was a complete waste of time and money. I left feeling let down, unsupported, and worse with potentially unsafe advice.

Please do not waste your time or money going here.

Maite has been absolutely amazing, she’s very knowledgeable and truly an expert in postpartum recovery specially c-section and all its difficulties. She has given me a plan to follow and support throughout the journey in Chiswick. As a first time mum can’t express how necessary it’s for all new mum’s to take the chance to attend a mummy MOT. I’ve already recommended her to everybody and I certainly will go again with my next one. Thank you Maite for going the extra mile!

I’ve been experiencing pelvic and hip pain for 2 years and felt I’d come to the end of the road having seen all sorts of specialists and had various treatment; so I was fearing the pain I was in would be something I’d just have to put up with. Maria has been amazing, looking at my injury in the context of how my whole body, inside and out, operates and has seen things other practitioners haven’t and is treating me in a way no one else has. For the first time I’m seeing progress. I feel Maria and the team really care and it’s a safe space to talk about what I’m feeling and experiencing. They are encouraging and supportive.

Very pleased to have found Maria Elliott for pelvic floor physio which I really needed. Professional and friendly therapists who make you feel comfortable and relaxed in their care. Currently using PelviPower Chair and guided exercise to improve strength. I would recommend Maria Elliott Physiotherapy Services to my friends. Thank you.

Friendly staff, good at listening and encouraging.
Although exercises clearly explained and demonstrated during my visit, it won’t be very helpful to have an exercise sheet to remind me during my visits.
I’m very positive about the treatment that is designed for me.
