Room for improvement
Ordered two jars of seamoss gel (original and tumeric ginger infused) due to a promo on website. I have no complaints with the postage and packaging as I received my items carefully wrapped within a few days of ordering.
Once I had unravelled my gels I looked at the expiry dates which unfortunately gave me less than a month to consume. I was not a fan of the texture and taste of the gels as they were too clumpy and watery. I'd opted to adding to my herbal teas or in a porridge to mask the taste as I couldn't bare taking a teaspoon alone. I also used as a facemask which worked pretty well.
Overall, I'd give the product 3* as there is definitely room for improvement.

We appreciate it! Unfortunately our products are fresh and natural, unless we add unhealthy chemicals and perservatives we can't extend the shelf life of our products.
Our aim is to keep you away from any chemicals but that has a trade off, which means it can't last as long.
Yes, ginger and turmeric isn't the nicest tasting flavour, it's definitely not my favourite, but think of the health benefits it supposedly gives, treat it like its medicine!
Glad it worked well as a facemask.
Always ensure you leave them refrigerated for about 2 hours as well, so you can allow the gel to set.

I first met Mumsmoss at the Black Business show in November 2024. As the event was about to close I discovered her stall. I was able to try a sample and instantly brought a jar of the ginger seamoss. From there I have followed the Insta page and made a note of the website. I have just made another order again as I need the seamoss so bad. Purchase today as you won't be disappointed. Great for your health 💯👌🏾.

Hi Flor,
Thank you for your review. This is a food product that is freshly made without any preservatives .
If the product lasted longer, it would be quite worrying, in the same way you wouldn’t want your fruit or vegetables to last over a month without going bad.
We have to be compliant and adhere to the food safety standards, so unfortunately extending the shelf life of a food product isn’t something we can do as it would be unsafe.
you can freeze the sea moss gel in ice cubes to extend the expiration but if it is chilled in refrigerated the expiry date has to be adhered to.
