It’s a SCAM. Charged 15p to verify my identity and then fraudulently attempted to take £24.95 from my account. This was not subscription. They don't even do loans. BE VERY AWARE THIS COMPANY IS KNOWN TO ALL BANKS FOR THEIR ACTIONS ON PEOPLES ACCOUNTS.
Fortunately this was picked up as fraudulent by my bank and has been blocked.
Fraudulent and a scam!
Getfrugal - Scammers of the worst kind.
If I could give getfrugal 0 stars I would, in fact I would give them minus - they are a scam of the worst order. I am pursuing a fraud action against them.
They have taken money from my account totalling £59.98 after deceptively gaining access to it.
Avoid like the plague and if you do get caught pursue them through your bank and fraud line.

A friend sold some items on Monday to a company that goes to village / town halls etc. Got £100 that they paid into a current account via a smart phone. 48 hours Frugal tried to take £29.84 out of my friends account. Santander stopped the payment and is now issuing new cards etc. Never applied for a loan etc. Connection to the village hall gold buyers ??? be very careful who you sell to or apply to. The world is full of wolves in sheep's clothing, trust nobody !
Only cos I can't give 0 stars.
Only cos I can't give 0 stars.
Looked into getting a loan, this place took a small payment, then, two subsequent payments of £29.99 without any notice/warning at all.
Preying on those that look at payday loan options is lower than a snakes belly. Should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
Look out for this mob at every opportunity.

WARNING !!!!
WARNING – Presented to me as “approved” credit, but I subsequently discovered GetFrugal describes itself as non-lending
I am extremely concerned about my experience with GetFrugal / Send Booster and have now raised a formal complaint seeking an explanation and compensation
I received a notification informing me that I had been “approved” for a Send Booster loan facility and was subsequently presented with what appeared to me to be a specific credit arrangement:
£359.88 credit amount
£29.99 monthly repayments
12-month repayment period
0% interest
This was not presented to me merely as an advertisement stating that I might qualify or inviting me to check my eligibility.
I was expressly told that I was approved and was presented with an exact amount, monthly repayment, repayment period and 0% interest rate.
I reasonably understood this presentation to mean that I had been approved for the stated credit facility.
I was subsequently taken through further identity-verification steps and presented with information concerning a charge/payment.
However, I have not received the £359.88 credit.
What concerns me even further is that I subsequently discovered information indicating that GetFrugal describes itself as a non-lending service, rather than a company actually providing loans.
This has left me with serious questions about exactly what was being offered to me.
If GetFrugal does not provide the £359.88 credit itself, why was I presented with a customer journey stating that I had been“approved”, followed by what appeared to be a credit summary showing £359.88, £29.99 monthly repayments, 0% interest and a 12-month term?
If this was actually connected with a subscription service rather than the provision of £359.88 of credit, I believe that distinction should have been made completely clear and prominent before a consumer was encouraged to proceed.
I do not presently believe that money was ultimately debited from my account, and I want to be accurate about that. I am therefore not alleging that GetFrugal took £359.88 from me or that money has been stolen from my account,
My complaint concerns the way the product/service was presented to me and whether I was given a sufficiently clear understanding of what I was actually agreeing to.
I have retained screenshots of the complete customer journey, including the representation that I was approved” and the specific £359.88 / £29.99 / 12-month / 0% information.
I have now submitted a formal complaint requiring GetFrugal to explain:
• exactly what I was supposedly approved for;
• whether £359.88 of actual credit was ever going to be provided to me;
• who, if anyone, was the proposed lender;
• why the presentation used terminology that I understood to relate to an approved credit facility;
• whether GetFrugal was acting as a lender, broker, introducer or subscription provider;
• precisely what the identity-check/payment stage related to; and
• whether any subscription, recurring payment authority or other ongoing financial obligation was created.
I consider the distinction between an actual credit facility and a paid subscription/service to be extremely important.
Consumers should know clearly what they are purchasing, who is providing it, what they are paying for and whether any advertised credit is actually being provided.
If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I intend to consider reporting my concerns to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and referring the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service where it has jurisdiction
I also reserve my position regarding other consumer, regulatory and legal remedies that may be available.
I would advise anyone considering this service to read the terms extremely carefully and screenshot every stage before entering payment details or proceeding with identity verification
I will update this review when GetFrugal responds to my formal complaint.
I was in the market for a small loan
I was in the market for a small loan, so put all my details in the comparison site and getfrugal .uk popped up due to their 0% interest. A pop up came up stating they would offer me the desired amount for 12 months and all I needed to do is confirm identity by imputing bank details and a 15p charge would be added for admin, despite the fact no expense is incurred for such a task. No details were supplied regarding the suppose credit or terms.
I proceeded to then get no email, text or response, which I found to be odd for any credit agreement.
I looked them up online, entered my details and actually found my account. I soon realised I was signed up to a recurring subscription of £29, no such credit facility and they simply showed me a list of lenders.
I immediately cancelled the subscription and wont go near them ever again. I've since gone with my bank who did everything as it should be done.
Totally and illegally misleading DO NOT GO NEAR them!! I forgot to follow a rule of thumb......If they're not FCA governed avoid at all cost.
I have just seen that this company has…
I have just seen that this company has tried to take 29 out of my account, I have just emailed them telling them that I didn't give them my permission to take it so I would expect it to be stopped and if if I see anything further from them on my bank account I will be in contact with my solicitor, and I have also asked for comfirmation that they have removed my details from their site so let's see if they do would have been 0 stars but unfortunately that's not an option, maybe trust pilot should let people have the choice of 0-5stars that way people will know what companies to stay away from in the future
