It’s a big step leaving your much loved pet with someone else for 2 weeks. So here is Basil’s story:
MDT were very helpful and reassuring when responding to our initial enquiry. Basil gets upset/reactive when he is nervous or unsure. We saw this as an opportunity to reset his behaviour and our understanding of him through someone else’s eyes. Beth sent us regular updates and videos showing his progress and how he was dealing with potentially stressful situations. Beth also provided training resources relevant to Basil’s future progress. Basil is a young dog and still a work in progress, but he is definitely calmer and he looks for guidance now, instead of “doing his own thing”. So we believe we got what we were looking for from the training for both Basil and us.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review, but I’ll start here… due to an awful tragedy I ended up being widowed and left with our 3 beautiful labradors. It became clear quickly that they were finding it hard to adjust to life with mum in charge. I had booked in to take my bears 4hrs up country to a residential trainer who was let’s just say very well followed on social media. Something just didn’t feel right and I pulled out and my god I’m glad I did! I stumbled across MDT, from the get go I spoke to a lady called Emily who was so kind and helpful given my situation, I explained all my issues.. lead manner’s, reactivity, I was at the point where I couldn’t even walk my dogs! Emily arranged for me to speak to the trainer at the Southampton branch Morgan, who was great and reassuring. Morgan let me know straight away that she would be working alongside a new dog trainer Beth, who was taking over the training at the Southampton branch. It really felt like a good fit for me and my 3 bears, so we booked in. I was so nervous to drop them off as they stayed for 3 weeks, we met people there who said how great the kennels were and that their dogs loved staying there which made me feel better! Fast forward to collection day, I cannot even begin to explain the difference between my dogs and the magic Beth has worked! Like I said it was so bad I couldn’t walk them, well they were walking great, and they followed all the directions Beth had taught them. I was nervous but it was my turn to try and I couldn’t believe it. What a difference!! The next part blew my mind, my reactive dog that would literally go nuts at the sight of another dog actually sat and made no noise whilst another dog walked past us. I couldn’t believe my eyes!! It’s so clear how much Beth cares about animals, I just can’t fault her. She sent me updates and videos of them really regularly, and what I really liked was the videos were all real, it wasn’t staged and she pointed out all the areas we’d need to continue to work on. One of the best parts about MDT is the aftercare support, I know Beth is on hand to continue to support me, she genuinely cares and wants us to succeed. I am beyond grateful to Beth and am so glad that I chose MDT for my 3, I can’t wait to see them continuing to thrive with her guidance! Thank you Beth you’re amazing!!

We were so worried about leaving Ruby for two weeks of training. She is a 3 year old Frenchie and has never been away from our older dog Chase. And rarely away from us. Morgan was amazing with her ! We got regular updates, she asked questions along the way and adjusted the training to be sure she was getting to know the whole Ruby. So proud of Ruby and a massive thank you to Morgan for setting a great foundation on her reactivity and lead work. 🥰

Morgan trained our boy Carn a 7 month cane corso he’s come home after 12 days training a new man we are so grateful to Morgan for everything she has taught carn 10/10 experience thank you Morgan 😊

Our Doberman had never been away from us not even for one night and never been walked by anyone else.
He has just spent 3 weeks with Morgan and the Kennel staff at Delvallie Kennels.
He has had so much fun and has made lots of friends during his stay. We had regular pupdates of what he had been doing and some lovely photos and videos that put our worries aside and our minds at rest.
He seems less reactive and so much more socialised on his return home so thank you everyone that’s helped with Rusty especially Morgan. We can’t recommend you all enough and we will look forwards to seeing you all again in the future.

Spin, our gorgeous, young, rescued, chocolate labrador , has come a long way since getting her . However, we struggled with her being on the lead . Reacting to other dogs whilst on the lead, by jumping, pulling and barking. Almost pulling me over on one occasion and yanking my husbands shoulder. We needed help from someone remarkable.
That person is Morgan at Southampton. As soon as we met her, we felt reassured, calm . Spin seemed to be just as happy in her company. We left, our hearts sank, equally relieved knowing our precious girl was in very capable hands. It was a hard decision leaving her there for 12 days but we needed help to overcome this problem.
The updates, videos and photos brought us great happiness, how far our little one had come . How she had adapted and having fun with her training and walks. We were astounded by her progress. Morgan had got to know our little girl so well you could see the joy in Spins face. It was an absolute joy to see.
We had a wonderful handover, Morgan showing us and helping us when we took on the training whilst there. Spin looked so proud and happy.
We brought her back on the Friday, she was so thrilled to be home and playing with her big sister. Saturday morning off we went, after 10 mins we found our stride with the training, ensuring we did as Morgan had taught Spin and us. WOW, what a difference we came across two dogs , no reaction, continued , Sunday four dogs, no reaction . We are following Morgans training and advice and , although early days, we have all so benefited by this experience. It is so wonderful to know Morgan will always be there to support us on this journey. We can not thank Morgan enough. It was the best decision we made to go to MDT for help.

I received lots of reassuring updates with photos and videos, I knew my dog was safe and in good hands.

We absolutely loved using this training service - Caitlin in the Henley branch was so warm and caring to our pup Ozzy - he is usually an anxious dog but it was great to see him so comfortable & open to training in the update videos.

Morgan was brilliant from start to finish updates all the way through the training and handover was brilliant as she made sure I was feeling ok with everything before I took my dog home. He has been so much better since being home. Would definitely recommend

It took me over a month to write this review because I really wanted to write an informed one.
My lovely Apollo (Standard Poodle) spent the 10 day’s training with the lovely Morgan in their Southampton kennel.
The issues that we needed help with were reactiveness and recall.
To start with I want to share our experience with Apollo’s trainer Morgan.
Morgan was sensitive to our concerns and very professional. From the start she told us the areas she would try to address and she could see how anxious our Apollo was specially around other dogs. She could tell he wasn’t and angry dog but an anxious one who had the need to have his personal space. That was to me life changing.
Morgan also managed to teach Apollo the so important recall. We tried to teach him that many times but it seemed like he could not even hear his name. Now our good boy listen to his name and comes back when we call him. It’s important to mention that we still don’t let Apollo off leash and maybe we will never be able to do that so we have a long leash and it’s been amazing. Apollo never took one piece of treat at the park and now we can’t go out without his cheese. He understands that’s he’s been a good boy and take his treat happily. Apollo never popped at the park either but now he does!!! That really shows that his anxiety levels are much lower and he feels safe on our walks. Apollo also plays with his ball at the park and he loves it. With his 10 meters leash he runs after the ball and is happy fetching and dropping it. I can also report that Apollo is less reactive but the barking towards others dog is still there at times. We are trying to address that by reassuring him and offering him treats when he first sees another dog, We are trying to normalise the presence of other dogs, pigeon, squirrel you name it! Ha (it’s important to mention that Apollo has been attacked in the past).
I just want to say a massive THANK YOU to Morgan. You not only helped Apollo but you also helped us to understand and respect his limitations. We feel less frustrated now and our walks are much more pleasant. I can actually see the smile on his face when we praise him and he knows he did really good. We love our boy and investing in his training was one of the smartest and kindest thing we did for our boy and for us too.
Thank you for all the updates you sent throughout our holidays. We were having a great time in Spain but looking forward to emails and pictures of our good boy.

I was very happy with the training provided for my dog, as well as the handover training to me when i picked her up. I think Jess did a great Job and the updates through out the training was reassuring to me.

I recommend mydogstrainer without reservation, they took my Rescued Gordon Setter of 11 months for five days to help me. Duke, my young dog would pull on the lead and even pulled me off my feet more than once.
Morgan, the trainer, was patient, kind, and clearly loved her job. Three weeks later and following the advice Morgan gave us Duke is transformed. He is still excited to walk but walks beside me without pulling my arms from my sockets.

Our best boy Banksy has recently returned from a week long refresher stay with Caitlin at your Henley on Thames branch and we could not be more grateful for all of her hard work. You can tell caitlin truly cares about every dog in her care and she has been fabulous at helping us learn the necessary skills to improve our boys confidence. He is so much better than he was when he first came to stay in January and we are working everyday to make sure he continues to improve. Thank you so much! ❤️

Jess at Harlow has done an amazing job with our Beryl.

Her interactions with us and the video content has been brilliant and trying to do all.that at once and control a puppy I cannot give her enough credit.

Beryl loved her stay and you can tell that by the way her interactions have been and when I took her home you could just see that loving look in her eyes as we went though what she had learnt or re-enforced.

Can not thank Caitlin at MDT Oxford branch enough. We have a 3 year old nervous Rottie. He has a high prey drive, and not well socialised due to numerous operations as a pup, who has never been to kennels. We were really worried how he would be and how he would react during training. Caitlin was amazing with him! she made him feel so comfortable using his body language and gently settle him in to kennel life at his own pace. We have received videos of him not reacting to other dogs after being clicker trained for his reactivity by Caitlin, something we thought would never be possible! Thank you so so much Caitlin and all the staff at Avalon kennels for looking after our boy 🐾

Thank you very much for training my Hef Jess from Harlow Essex. Jess has literally done wonders with Hef. Hef is a different dog now, more organized, she listens (previously it was a problem). She has learned to walk on a leash nicely, she has become calmer and I literally can't I can't believe how much the two weeks I spent training with Jess changed her life for the better and mine too, hehehe.

Morgan is delightful and Ruby was soon having fun with walks and training. Ruby spent 2 weeks there boarding over the middle weekend. Morgan went through her training regime to encourage continuation and consistency. She sentvupdates and videos of Ruby every other day and training notes after we collected Ruby. Recommended.

Morgan at the Southampton branch looked after and helped train my anxious dog. As soon as I had dropped him off I felt comforted that he was in safe hands. Morgan kept me regularly updated with photos and training progress which was reassuring and also answered any of my questions during his 10 day stay. On pick up, Morgan spent lots of time with my beautiful dog and I discussing his anxieties, her training techniques, and teaching me some useful strategies too on a learning walk. This was followed up with a comprehensive email with a handover pack. I was thoroughly impressed with Morgan's patience and knowledge, and will use her in the future to help guide me training my gorgeous hound.
