We are obliged to use Ringgo when using…
We are obliged to use Ringgo when using many car parks and on street parking in Bournemouth. Tonight, as is always the case, my password would not work and I have to change it. Why?? Better to get the bus and then deprive the council of income that they could probably do with.... Ringgo is such a hassle
Title: Beware of Automated Phone System Errors - Wrongful Charge
I am writing to warn others about a significant error I experienced with RingGo's automated telephone payment system.
On 02/11/2025, I correctly paid for parking at Kew Green, London (CPZ KC 52887) by calling the number on the sign (020 3046 0010). I was charged the correct £3.75 for this session.
However, the system simultaneously processed a second, completely erroneous transaction for £12.75 for a car park in Sheffield (Arundel Gate Car Park, 45125), a city over 150 miles away where my car never was.
This was not a case of selecting the wrong location in an app. I used the automated phone line, and it clearly malfunctioned, creating a payment I never authorised.
While attempting to resolve this, the initial response from the parking operator (SRL Management) was dismissive, suggesting I had simply made a mistake and should apologise for my "accusations," rather than addressing the clear system error evidenced by my two parking summaries.
I have had to spend considerable time gathering evidence and emailing to request a refund for a charge that should never have happened.
Advice to others: If you pay by phone, double-check your bank statement and RingGo account history immediately for any duplicate or incorrect location charges. The system appears to be prone to serious errors.
App didn't work, phone not answered
What's the point of having a phone number on your car park signs if there's no one to speak to at the other end? I tried paying by phone because the app wouldn't work - it didn't recognise my password, so I tried making a new one. This involved them texting me a six digit security code, which the app refused to recognise. I definitely wasn't mistyping it because I copied and pasted it. That's when I tried the phoneline only to get a message saying it was out of action.
I drove to a different car park.
Dreadful app, avoid Ringo for your sanity
I'm too polite to say exactly what I feel about this dreadful app. I will avoid any Ringo parking location. It's impossible to use, constantly fails to give you access. I just spent over half an hour trying to log onto my account and pay for parking. In the end I moved the car elsewhere and paid with a contactless credit card. I can't believe this app is rated as high as 1.4 stars. Avoid Ringo and park elsewhere!! To add insult to injury, I just received an email advising my account was frozen due too many attempts to log in. I've news for you, Ringo, I've deleted your app so won't make any more attemps!!
Ringo App to the Rescue!
Great and convenient App. No need to worry about physical cash.
The smart way to park.
The worst app ever
The worst app ever.
Can't log on.
Doesn't except log on details.
Absolutely garbage.
Start Stop is a rip off
Start Stop is a rip off - I stopped the parking and got a notification that my 3 minute parking had cost me £0.36 - but I got charged for the full day £11.95. They must be lagging all the way to the bank!!!
Awful Customer Service
Been trying numerous time to get through to Customer Services as unable to use App. Awful Customer Service, said I’m next in queue then says online then goes off.

This is the worst app on the Internet....by far. Just wasted 30 minutes in a car park when I'm in a rush trying to get set up.
Con artists
Given wrong information to request a refund, now left out of pocket as both parties aren't taking ownership and refusing my refund, paid twice for parking for no reason. Absolutely disgusting.
No phone number for customer service
Like others I found it impossible to get a phone number when I had a problem. I tried chat and it took me a great deal of time and trouble to get past the chatbot and get a live agent on the chat. It turns out the problem was with the app.
Doesn't work
Absolute piece of shit!!
Absolute piece of shit!!! Registered , password not recognised, error!…. Got to wait… Try again same errors… Nightmare parking in Birmingham. To everyone….. Take a bag of coins FFS!!!

Would give it zero as always problems loging in .. useless!!
Awful app, awful business
Awful app. If I could give it zero stars I would. The app doesn’t work and always says there is an error when logging in. The website doesn’t the same. Why a business or university would use RingGo is beyond me. Terrible product that doesn’t do what it says it will do. Simply look at the rating and reviews to understand how bad this product is.
Awful app
Awful app. Can't log in, can't reset password and it won't remove my old details to try log in again
RingGo Made a Stressful Situation Even Worse
I was already in a stressful situation and needed to park urgently, but RingGo just made it worse. I didn’t have coins for the machine, so the only way to pay was through the app. I already had RingGo and had used it before, so I thought it would be simple — but I couldn’t sign in. Tried resetting my password over and over, just kept going in circles, and eventually had to give up and find somewhere else to park. Really disappointing when you’re in a rush and completely let down by a company that controls all the parking options.
Don't use them
Don't use them! This is my experience. The machine doesn't work, so you go online to register for the app, which also doesn't work. They then take £66 out of your account, and you still don't get to park. Their customer number tells you to download the app, and your email will not be answered by a person. I'm going to the Ombudsmen.
I have been trying to register/log in
I have been trying to register/log in - everything i do gets rejected or is invalid - why do people in business create barriers to their services? Why do other organisations farm parking out to a a user unfriendly outfit?

Tried using RingGo and spent a delightful few minutes playing “find the car park”. Eventually managed to start a session and was greeted by a cheerful little timer counting down, reassuring me all was well.
Two weeks later, a £100 fine. Apparently, the app decided to pretend it took my payment, a bold UX choice, really. Because who doesn’t enjoy double-checking their bank every time they park, just to make sure the app wasn’t feeling whimsical that day?
If this is what passes for a functioning product at RingGo, I’d suggest they fire the product team, or at least buy them a book on user experience.
