In remote Scotland the Council have made the limited car parking RingGo . No surprise that they are largely empty and the ANPR CCTV etc are a waste of money. Which numpty decided to do this. Crazy. Look at the reviews and see the feedback !! Avoid at all costs

This company has my daughters vehicle registered at 17817 for 2 hours when it’s only been there 1 hour so I can’t extend the time or repark I have tried to reach out to them but they have absolutely no customer service and should not be operating as a parking company
Total scam
I would give even less stars if I could, absolute joke of a service, paid a parking slot through them and still got a PCN by the council saying their permit isn't valid but they are still happy to take your money for a service they can't even provide blaming it on the customer!!
I’m BCP Council Ring Go Parking
Attempted to install and use the App for the first time on Saturday. Along with many other people parking system installed by BCP Council does work and was never tested.

Their objective is to fine you. It doesn’t want you to pay….

Absolute waste of time
Absolute waste of time. Wouldn't recognise me and told me I have run out of times to re-register. Good job there was a pay machine nearby.
Unreliable app and unfair payment system
This service is terrible. The app doesn’t work – I tried registering and resetting my password but never received any code or email. At Saxon Square, cash is not a real option either: I had to pay £2 because the machine doesn’t give change, even though the fee was only £1.40. This is basically forcing people to overpay if the app fails. Unreliable, unfair, and very frustrating.
Broken app. Very poor experience.
We were wondering why the usually full carpark was now virtually empty when we, ourselves tried to use the now only by app payment they've introduced.
Ringo run the payment for this particular carpark and I'd already had the app ready. However, it failed to recognise my login. I wasn't going to try and sort it out there and then but when I got back and tried to reset my password it just took me back to the login page.
I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the app (still wouldn't recognise my pw but did now at least allow me to reset it).
The problem is that contact payment is reliant on buggy apps like Ringo. I need three apps to park in south Cumbria and one failed to work from the outset.
If you don't use them regularly they seem to break and leave you with no alternative way to pay.
It's a disgrace that companies such as Ringo can force their broken apps on people with no other way to pay when they fail (and they do fail).
We ended up parking elsewhere (where trying to pay by phone failed). Guess what? Ended up paying cash that time!
Let down by Customer service
The app works well most of the time. But the company completely fails at customer service and compassion towards customers.
If you pay twice by mistake, you won't get a refund.
There's no one to talk to. Everything is automated and it's not to a good enough standard.
Literally cannot register
Literally cannot register; receives an error partway through the process, tells me to retry, warns me of my rapidly diminishing SMS requests that are in fact just a swathe of verification codes because of needing to repeat the process. Useless AF system that used to be easy when the car park used JustPark as the app.
Scammed when downloading app.
Absolutely furious that this company sells space on their download page to a scam company Estiviron. Downloaded Ringo app 2 weeks ago and when clicked on the 'continue' button was led to a page that clearly wasn't parking.
Today my bank informed me that £39.99 had gone out to this company for a subscription. Thankfully they've blocked further payments and have raised a dispute. When you look up the company all you see is reviews saying how this happens all the time with the Ringo app.
I have deleted Ringo and will never use them again. My advice to anyone is DON'T download their app.
Not good
In a 2 hour no return for 4 hour setting, I tried to extend my 1 hour by 30 minutes..... Could not extend because the 'NO RETURN' clause was enforced!!!!!
This app is absolutely terrible
This app is absolutely terrible. It’s supposed to make parking easier, but instead it’s the complete opposite. Nothing about it is simple — the layout is confusing, and it takes forever to get anything done. Every time I try to pay, I get errors, timeouts, or the app just freezes. What should be a quick task turns into a frustrating ordeal that wastes more time than just finding a machine. Honestly, it feels unreliable and broken — not what you want when you’re just trying to park.
Unable to extend parking at Southend
Went to Southend and paid for 1 hrs parking at 5pm. At 6pm tried to extend parking for 3hrs to take me to the parking limit at 9pm. Would only allow me to extend for 1hr. Had to return to car and pay for hours at meter.

Did the QR code on way out wanted to pay what was due for 10 mins but QR stated £18.00 for the day i tried querrieng it to see if this was correct for 10 mins been trying all day with no answer so i expect its done on.purpose to fine u a heafty fine for not paying now
Trying to make contact with these people is unbelevable talking to usless Bots 2 hour waits and getting no where fast all i want to do is find out if and what i owe and how to pay tried the app

33 people in the queue at 9.18am 45 mins wait to speak to support
Trying to set up my Ringo app but can't access my old account. I'm number 33 in the queue and will get a response in 45 minutes. It's 9:18 AM, so having that many people in the queue this early isn't a great app.
Wrong information
On 31st July 2025 I received an email from RingGo saying my Residency Status was about to expire.
They sent a link to click to renew. The link was wrong. This is the second year they have done this.
Also if I don't use RingGo for a month the password on their app drops off. It's a major hassle to reset the password if I don't remember it.

overcharged by £12 paying for a friends parking outside my house. I received a text from them saying I was being charged a sum just uner £3. My CC says£15 today. Trying to rectify this.. sent an email, had an automated response, wrote back no response. Went to chat bot have been waiting an hour for a person. Once in the queue you are disonnected from chatbot,,there is apparently 33 people in front of me and I need to wait 2 hours
