I will admit that I was unsure of how I was going to create my life stories in a meaningful way that would not be a huge commitment. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that preserving memories of my past was very easy using the format provided. The weekly questions are thoughtfully crafted and easily reformated if desired. I submitted questions to customer service that were quickly responded to by friendly and knowledgeable staff. The My Stories journey was positive. I have shared my experience with many of my friends and have encouraged them to join the My Stories family. My children found receiving hardbound copies of their mother's meaningful life equally rewarding.

Dennoch bleibt man bei den Abschnitten extrem flexibel und kann wunderbar eine eigene Struktur aufbauen. Ein riesiger Pluspunkt sind die vielen Bilder, die sich in die Geschichten integrieren lassen. Das fertige Buch hat unsere Erwartungen weit übertroffen. Das Layout ist stimmig, der Text liest sich flüssig und die Bilder kommen hervorragend zur Geltung – viel besser, als ich es angesichts der teils nicht optimalen Vorlagen erhofft hatte.

This is for anyone who has ever thought, " I wish I had asked grandma, when I had the chance." From the moment I started writing, memories led to memories. I thought of so many things my grandchildren will never experience that shaped my life and, ultimately, theirs. I feel a sense of comfort and even excitement that 100 years from now, someone who shares my DNA can read my thoughts and feel a connection with me. I enjoyed writing this, I enjoyed remembering long-ago thoughts and feelings and now I love holding the finished book in my hands. Everyone should consider this a gift for any loved one who is meaningful in his or her life.

Jeg er veldig fornøyd med MyStories. Og mine døtre likte resultatet. Det vil også være kjekt for barnebarn når de blir eldre.
Selve prosessen var inspirerende. I starten skrev jeg et innlegg i uken slik som det var lagt opp, men etterhvert ble det 2-3 når jeg satte meg ned. Og dermed ble total tiden kortere enn et år. Spørsmålene som kom var inspirerende og satte meg i gang med å skrive, men som døtrene påpekte: jeg gikk ut fra temaet og vendte i liten grad tilbake. Så mine innlegg ble bare delvis svar på kapitteltitlene. Men for meg var det helt ok, fordi de satte meg i gang med inspirasjon til å skrive, og i mine øyne ble resultatet bedre enn om titlene hadde beskrevet mer eksakt hva jeg endte med å skrive om. Så resultatet ble en oppsummering av historikk, tanker, vurderinger og relasjoner. Med andre ord noe som jeg ikke ville dokumentert uten prosessen og spørsmålene. Før siste spørsmål gikk jeg tilbake og korrekturleste innleggene. Det ble et par korreksjoner, og litt tilføringer som kunne bygge bro mellom innlegg. Men jeg er fornøyd med prosessen og resultatet.

If anyone is looking to keep memories in shape of a book I recommend My stories. Book is printed with Great care, came nicely wrapped and secure. It is very good quality hard cover. Designing book is very easy, just follow the steps. You will have support all the way through the process. Response from support is prompt and very helpful. Don't hesitate as you won't regret.

If you are older and wanting to use this company, note that the customer sevice is VERY poor. There is absolutely no option at all to speak with a live person and the website is NOT user friendly (the Q&A section had no examples of any of my questions) I had many questions and always had to email. Not easy to do when you have arthritis and just want a simple question answered in a timely manner. Extremely frustrating. Given the fact that many grandparents likely would use this company I find it rediculous that they don't offer assistance via phone. At times, I never even received an email response, and when I did often the reader did not understand my question. Not recommended.

It gave my mom an easy way of capturing the most notable memories of her life. And their support staff was very kind and accommodating.

I definitely would absolutely give them 5 stars. I had an issue with trying to get my book printed and contacted them and they quickly helped me. It was great to know I wasn’t just emailing to the wind! My books at print and so far feeling great about the whole experience.

This was a gift given to me last year for Mother’s Day from my sons for me to do. It was the perfect gift! I put my heart into every question and feel like my family will now have my story long after I live. I would have loved to have had this about my parents! My Stories, as a company, did a great job of putting it all together! I am very pleased, as is my family!

It was so helpful to receive thought-provoking questions and the opportunity to delete any questions that were not appropriate. It also helped to be able to add our own questions.

It is really prompt in communicating the need for completing the questions every month. The questions are very appropriate and focused.

I love the general format. Having the ability to customize questions is very nice.

I was able to write about my life and examine myself, as well as my relationship with GOD, family, friends and associates.
And, once completed: I could share my story with loved ones.

I published two different books on MyStories. The platform is flexible. I can add and resize photos and place them throughout the story. There can be as many chapters as I need. The 500 page limit is higher than other companies' limits. MyStories is very easy to use.

The whole concept of writing "My Story" is enabled and brought to life. The process is facilitated by weekly prompts which help to kick-start the process, and there is also the opportunity to add one's own "prompts". It is such a fun experience to recall scenes from my life so vividly, with the bonus of adding photos to bring it all to life. I received excellent support during the process, and the final product called "A Miscellany of Scenes from my Life" is something of which I feel incredibly proud, and the quality of the hard-cover book is of a very high standard.

It wasn't a difficult website to follow and the construction of the book was made easier by the prompts from MyHeritage. I found it just fitted together.

These people are brilliant to deal with, prompt and positive response every time.
The book is a quality product and the process is easy to work with..in such a short time I achieved something I have just talked about for years. Thank you.

The process of creating our book was easy and enjoyable. Preparing the stories brought back lots of fond memories, The finished book is being enjoyed by all of our family.

I am only 3 months into my story. I am enjoying it in a rather unexpected way. I have found myself connecting to my older siblings to help me validate some of my memories to ensure they are correct. And that has spawned some laughter. I reconnected with a second cousin I have not seen in over 50 years for the same reason. Some of my responses have allowed me to express things to my children that I never would have found the time, courage or opportunity to express. The questions are truly thought provoking.

What a delight this has been. I was given a subscription as a Christmas present, just as I reached retirement, and while genealogy and family history have never really been my thing, this felt quite different. It helped me explore my immediate family and my own life in a structured but very personal way, reflecting on key moments along the way.
The MyStories dashboard makes it easy to keep track of everything, although I suspect many people will find, as I did, that they go well beyond the prompts and discover they have much more to say.
After completing the book and giving it a careful proofread, I sent it off and, just three days later, the printed copies arrived (I had ordered a couple of extras). The turnaround time was remarkable, and the quality is superb. The images in particular have reproduced beautifully.
I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say about either the product or the service. I finished well within the one-year subscription, so I’m now tempted to embark on a more detailed “Director’s Cut” version!
