I wrote in to support for help in replacing a broken shade, the member of staff that helped me, Sonia, was very polite, helpful, and responded quickly.

Affordable lighting and great customer service

I visited several electrical shops before finding National Lighting Store Charlton—none had exactly what I wanted and I wasn’t comfortable with the alternatives offered. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Mark, who was professional, attentive, and truly listened.

He understood instantly the style and look I was aiming for—even for plugs, sockets and switches! His attention to detail was wonderful; he pointed out designs with rounded edges rather than sharp corners, thinking ahead to if I had children. He put together clear quotes for two different brands, applying discounts wherever possible. After all recommendations provided I chose the Saxby downlights and all related Saxby products. Mark arranged a super fast delivery to my home and kept me updated continuously.

For my bathroom fan, I’d picked a more expensive option, but Mark recommended one with identical specifications at a far better price. I went in expecting to spend much more, but thanks to his expertise and guidance, I stayed well within budget—fantastic for my home project!

On return visits, he took full charge and even spoke directly with my electrician to confirm everything was exactly right. The spotlights and dimmer switches look absolutely stunning. I couldn’t recommend Mark and National Lighting Store highly enough—exceptional service, great prices, and genuine care for their customers. Thank you!

Contacted customer service after I managed to smash the glass out the light fitting. They sorted replacements and sent them out straight away. Fantastic company to deal with.

Good selection of lighting. Quick delivery but unfortunately parcel had been dropped and base was dented. Contacted supplier very quick to send us replacement lamps.

Have to pay for the return. Just absolute nightmare if you order in bulk. Never again.

I purchased from National lighting some drive lights and after a time two of the lights were becoming damp and very dirty inside the lamp, after stripping the lights I realised there was no rubber seal in two of the four lights which was my fault for not checking on delivery
I contacted Jen at NL knowing they were totally out of warranty but very kindly solved my problem very easily
5* for me and you don’t find many caring companies when you buy online

I can’t fault national lighting at all, I ordered 2 wall lights for my bedroom but when they turned up they wasn’t quite the colour I wanted, I emailed asking for instruction on returning them, they came back straight away and issued my refund as soon as they received them, very good customer service, I’m sure I’ll return at some point

Great customer service. One of the four lights we purchased was missing a single part of one of the fixings. Having contacted the company to request a replacement screw I received a complete new light fitting in its place. Brilliant after-sales service. Would highly recommend this company.

Great customer service and two great light fittings.

Purchased a pendant light for our new kitchen extension and a 3 pendant light for over the table. Did my homework and pricing was competitive, plus delivery was quicker than stated.
Our electrician hung the main pendant too high and had already got rid of the excess links in the chain. I got in touch with customer service and after a few emails they found a replacement chain in the warehouse and shipped it to me within a couple of days.
Can’t fault them on price, delivery or customer service & my lights look amazing!

What a brilliant find. Have been looking everywhere for some nice matching wall & pendant light. I had found this at Dunelm, but they messed up my order….luckily for me. National Lighting supplier the goods within 48hr & so much cheaper than Dunelm. Am renovating my bungalow, so NL will be my first choice now. Thank you

Really helpful staff answered all my questions before ordering. There was a delivery error, probably my fault, but again the person I spoke with was excellent and a new delivery was arranged for the next day. The item is a gift, so I hope the quality is as good as the customer service. Thank you!

Ordered some light fittings and lamps from their website at 9:30 Pm thursday, order was dispatched friday, arrived saturday. Well packaged, products were exactly as described on their site, competitively priced. Will definitely be buying again!

Oh my god. The customer service here was indescribably awesome. After I damaged my new light, Julia picked up my case and got in touch with the manufacture and got me a new part. Immediately. All sorted on the same day. Arrived next working day. Julia was a hero. Will definitely use again.

Everythings well and good when their taking your money. I bought 4 x up and down lights. Two months after install one of the bulbs on one of the lights has changed colour. On emailing the so called Helpdesk I was told to take the light apart and flick a switch which is contrary to section 9 of their own terms and conditions that install "must" be done by a electrician which I am not. As far as they are concerned the light is working even though I've sent them pictures of the light with one bulb a different colour to the other, they still refuse to do anything unless I take the thing apart and flick a switch which is designed to change the colour of both bulbs. Raised a complaint with them but have heard nothing in fact they are now ignoring me. Currently with my bank and trading standards
