Transportation is a joke
Transportation is a joke. They use Uber, not medical transport. While sitting "at the curb" waiting for confirmed transport to a doctor appointment, I receive a text stating "sorry, no drivers, try again". So I'm supposed to cancel a doctor appointment an hour before I'm supposed to be there? I complained to my insurance. I'm not ordering a pizza. You cannot cancel a doctor's appointment one hour before you're due to be there. The drivers are unprofessional and almost scary they're so sloppy and unprofessional. So, I actually do not have a reliable transportation service. This place is a sorry joke.
Terrible customer service
Jan 20th 2026 I sent a reimbursement request per their customer service, as the nations benefit card didn't work when trying to buy a fit bit, so I had to purchase it myself. Received a confirmation email from them the same day saying it could take up to 30 days. After 30 days I had to call them, as I hadn't received my reimbursement, the lady who answered was not very pleasant and told me several times that it would be 60 days even though I told her that I had received an email from them stating 30 days, which she just said well that was wrong. After the 60 days I had to call again, this time they said that they had just put it in the system and it would be 30 days....so since Jan 19th when I first started all of this, it is now April 18th still no reimbursement - terrible company to deal with and the absolute worst customer service
This company deserves zero stars
This company deserves zero stars. This is another greedy, unscrupulous company profiting off Medicare "Advantage." And this scam has been going on for several years now. No wonder Medicare is in trouble when they allow thieves to manage their OTC "benefits." There are all kinds of obstacles in order to obtain these "benefits" such as needing a smartphone to shop in person at retail chains like CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, forcing seniors to use the online portal (if they have a home computer, that is) at heavily inflated prices. By requiring the elderly to have a smartphone or a computer to purchase OTC items, they are eliminating a big chunk of people who qualify but are unable to access their benefits. I will be reporting this grift to the BBB and making a complaint to Anthem, who is ultimately responsible for enabling this ripoff.
TERRIBLE Customer service at Nations Benefits is…
Customer service at Nations Benefits is the worst. I've had legitimate problems with trying to use my benefits and actually had CSRs hang up in me or just have no idea how to help. They now have a company called Care Cars to manage transportation for members and they are just as bad. I've called to arrange transportation for doctor appointments and had Ubers pick me up and drive me to the wrong address and then I got left at locations that I didn't even know. Then when I called to tell them I'm stranded through their mistake, I got hung up on.
Their service agents are poorly trained and just don't care.
They've told me I have a certain amount of money available on my benefit card, then when I've tried to use it, they tell me there's no benefits to use. So why tell me I have money available to use on health care items but not let me use it. And of course their reps have no idea what to do or say.
If you ask for a manager or supervisor, they tell you the have to put in a request and have one call you back, which of course they never do. I think they all work from home so they really don't have access to management.
If you have to deal with Nations Benefits, I truly feel for you. They have no business to even exist.
Almost worthless card
Just got this card from my insurance company for having a health review. Maybe it is worth 30% on the dollar. I can get products much cheaper on Amazon or at Publix. Not worth the hassle of activating the card.
At best, bait and switch, at worst, pure business fraud.
Responded to Preventative Health promotions & completed two activities just to be told, months later, the incentives would not be paid due to bogus made up reasons after endless runarounds to run out the clock.
1. The incentives were recognized and posted onto my Nations Benefits account and triggered the automatic sending of a debit card. BUT Nations Benefits did not load the amount onto the card rendering it useless.
2. Endless phone calls resulted in false promises, fake "escalations", and finger pointing contrary to the facts presented.
3. Complained to BBB and got a written response that the missed incentives will be credited "within 10 business days". Then nothing happened and all communication terminated.
Changed to catalogue quite a bit of…
Changed to catalogue quite a bit of helpful stuff for health and pain they even have my tiger balm wich I can't find anywhere else we got quite a few medical stuff here
Humana's benifit card has serious issues
Today Humana admitted some health care suppliers were not undating codes in major stores checkout database that resulted in an item not being eligable. You can scan a product with the NationsBenifits app that shows the item is eligable, but when checking out it's not covered. Don't waste time calling the "customer support" 800# it is an endless AI generated loop that goes no where
Nations benefits is a joke
Nations benefits is a joke, already March and still cant use my benefits card. After 3 months of doing my part and nations benefit and select health job, they always have an excuse, mind you my Dr. has sent chronic condition forms 6 times but NBs said they cant find it or never got it although there is always a confirmation sent. Bad business as they are Intermountain corporate that is useless. Very unhappy. Do not recommend them at all.
scam
customer service appeared to be identity theft scam. telling me that due to hippa laws related to health benefits they had to have it. i just wanted to know where i could use the prepaid mastercard but learned that it’s not actually a mastercard
Do Not Have Anything Shipped From Nations Benefits!
Absolutely trash shipping! I ordered several items and they put the larger heavy items on top of the lightweight items and they all got crushed. Who thought these kids how to pack a box? Other items I've order where almost expired or damaged in one way or another. Nations Benefits can keep their junk!
Nation's Benefits is a total joke
Nation's Benefits is a total joke. Their app doesn't work to scan or identify eligible items when shopping at a store. The products available directly from them are so overpriced that it's ridiculous, and delivery is always delayed. I have a Geisinger Gold plan that I'm happy with other than the truly awful Nation's Benefits.
I sent a receipt for a season ski pass…
I sent a receipt for a season ski pass for reimbursement October 2025. In December 2025 I called asking about the status of the reimbursement and was told it was being processed and to give it 4 weeks to come in the mail. In January 2026 called again, and they said they had no record of receiving the email and reimbursement request. Asked to speak to a manager, was placed on really long phone waiting, waiting, waiting. The supervisor promised to stick with the problem, and the check FINALLY came February 19, 2026. Select Health Utah needs to choose another benefits provider.
The absolute WORST
The absolute WORST. Their customer "service" reps are seemingly instructed to give you any and every excuse why your claim is denied. In my case that included lying and constantly changing their story and finally trying to tell me that my reimbursement benefit had been "exhausted" even though they'd never sent me a single check. When I asked how to appeal, the guy refused to even tell me what the appeal process is, saying it wouldn't do any good to appeal because I'd just keep getting same answer. I got so exasperated after several attempts I finally just gave up; it's not worth the time, effort, and aggravation. And that is their goal, I suppose. I truly wish that Anthem would read all these reviews and switch to a different provider. Not for my sake -- I've already switched from Anthem anyway. Everyone else: good luck.
I have to Agee with Al negative reviews Anthem doesn’t even have half the doctors they listed either
I have to Agee with Al negative reviews
Total scam items missing and their not responsible
So complain to Anthem .??
Shame shame
Total scam
I help my senior relatives with their benefits. In order to maximize their benefits and simplify their routine we decided to try to order the produce box for the first time this month, seeing as how they enrolled last December. It didn't arrive until today! The box smells of decaying produce. It's supposed to have both fruits and veggies and it doesn't. They were charged $60 and I will tell you exactly what is inside; 3 medium carrots, 1 bruised medium green bell pepper, 2 squishy brownish medium green limes, 1 medium jalapeño, 2 fist sized russet potatoes, 2 squishy small cucumbers, 2 medium graying brown onions, 2 medium soft spotted roma tomatoes and 1 smal squishy avocado that is almost liquid inside it's so soft (I wish I was exaggerating).
The prices are too high
The prices are too high. Elderly people on a fixed budget should not have to use this company that over charges. My husband was able to oder some food items. For example, we received the smallest jar of jif peanut butter that was 6.75 plus tax. Also was able to order fruit for 45.00 it was rotted when it arrived.
The worst
The worst! My insurance benefits include transportation to and from medical procedures and their transportation team can't seem to set that up or keep their information straight. I've called four times and still don't have a ride!!! My doctor won't allow me to take an Uber after the procedure--it must be a private medical transport, and Nations Benefits requires that they set all transportation up. They have no idea what they're doing.
