Course material very easy to follow? Tutor very positive and encouraging

This has been an excellent course which got me through a long Covid winter! I feel that I have learnt a great deal, and it has inspired me to continue with my Latin studies - in fact I can't imagine not having a piece of Cicero or Pliny to enjoy translating on a cold winter evening. My tutor has also been excellent, both by patiently answering all my queries and by marking my assignments extremely quickly. I would recommend anyone who is seriously interested in learning Latin, and who is not afraid of the intricacies of Latin grammar, to give it a go.

Maths A level course seems good quality. Only criticism is that full worked answers for all exercises would be an improvement.

Everyone at NEC has been helpful and supportive from the very beginning and I am so grateful! This is my first time enrolling in an online course so I was a bit hesitant and nervous about how I will do but from the very beginning I felt reassured that I will be supported in my studies and it gave me some confidence.
I am currently two weeks into the course and I have managed to fit studying into my routin without an issue.

Been with NEC for 3 GCSE's this last year and have been nothing but impressed with the service and support received. Every interaction I have had with the NEC has been positive and professional. The Tutors have been incredibly supportive throughout what has been extremely challenging year with Covid. I highly recommend the NEC for anyone who is considering distance learning. The portal is simple enough once you get used to it and the content is well laid out. I would like to end this review by giving a big thank you to my tutors Donna, Bethan, Amanda and also Louise from the Exams Team.

Nec have been so helpful with my sons course, and he is enjoying it

NEC has given me the opportunity to achieve my academic potential from home. I am enjoying my courses as well.

Navigating through the website seemed complex. The format of the website was confusing, It had too much information. Had a lot of repeated subheadings.

The website is clear, the tutor accessible for an elderly student like me I recommend the NEC for studying at home.

Very helpful, i wish i had discovered it earlier

The source material they use seems good enough but the tutor support is woefully lacking (based on my personal experience)

A claim of 2-3 days response is, in almost all cases, 2-3 weeks. There is a lot of information supplied by tutors on the website and through emails to all students, which is useful, but I would suggest you don’t expect a lot from “allocated tutor”.
As long as you are not factoring this tutor support into your study plan, you should be fine but if that support is important I would look elsewhere for your study / qualification arrangements.

I am happy i started my studies with Nec.

Very clear and easy to purchase and set up. As a parent of the student I've been very impressed with the support and resources available.

Good, would of been nice for support in the best qualification needed for purpose. I could of had a better route given for what I needed.

Really pleased with my decision to choose NEC for studying A level Chemistry. The introduction and orientation has been clear and thorough and I like the way the online learning environment is set out with section headings and bookmarks down the left-hand side but also each webpage within each topic has got a 'Next' button at the bottom which leads you onwards in a straightforward flow. There is a checklist at the start of each section where you can tick off the required work as you do it - watching a video, doing a chapter from the textbook, completing a worksheet, etc, and also some of the boxes are for my tutor to tick after she's received my work due for assessment. My tutor got in touch via email on the day I paid my fee to say hello. She marked my introductory assignment very quickly and gave helpful and encouraging feedback and I am due to have a Skype tutorial with her soon to discuss my aims for the course and my study schedule. I haven't booked an exam place yet as it's too early but it all seems very straightforward and I will be notified by Student Support when it's time. The discussion forum is well-used and I can see lots of ongoing discussions between students and with tutors about Chemistry in general and questions about particular parts of the course that I will return to and read when I reach that bit. My personal tutor and the course author are both very experienced in distance learning tuition and highly qualified in Chemistry. Based on my first four weeks I would highly recommend NEC.

I’m almost half way through the Fast Track Biology A Level. The course is all nicely structured out for you with deadlines and checklists for each section which makes it easy to follow along. This is brilliant as it means you can just focus on the content. The study materials are of a high quality and the tutors are very helpful, always on hand to answer any questions. I would highly recommend this course!

Excellent!
I have been very impressed with my son's further math course so far. He is very pleased with the way the mathematics course is structured. We hope to get an A* in the exam. Excellent work NEC team!

1 The courses are very expensive, that limits student's options to take more courses.

2 It will be very helpful if the student's account be more specific and more organised that gives he/she less time to browse and more time to study.

3 Video calls from teachers will be great so students can listen to explanations and to exams techniques.

Thanks for your services. I am very content. I recommend you.

Started with this school in September. One of my sons is doing A levels, and the other is doing GCSE's.

I cannot fault the school. Their student support is excellent - very quick, and their courses are well put together. The only gripe I have is with the Spanish GCSE book. The book is fine, but it lessens the seamlessness of NEC courses that I have experienced, to have to go to another website, and log in again with different details. That's inconvenient.

Apart from that, top notch. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of home-schooling their kids, as long as the kids have some level of self-discipline.
