My Landy wouldn’t start so had it RAC rescued from home in the North Cotswolds and taken to Newbury who sorted the issue, ignition barrel needed replacing, not the starter motor as suggested by the RAC patrol!!
I prefer to travel 60 miles each way to use Newbury 4x4, rather than my local Land Rover garages, as Newbury always do a good job

This is the first time we have used Newbury 4x4 as we needed new brake pads during the 3 year warranty period and were worried about what this work would cost as we had heard of JLR main dealers trying to do work that was not necessary. We were pleasantly surprised by the professional way Newbury 4x4 approached the work. The asked to see the car ahead of scheduling the repair and advised that only rear pads were needed. The cat went in a couple of days later and the work was completed whilst we waited and we were away by 10.00 am and with a bill that was perfectly acceptable to us. We have no hesitations about using them again. Our bill was £340. The JLR dealer quoted £493.

This the first time I have used Newbury 4x4 and it won’t be the last. They fitted a new winch, serviced and checked over my Discovery 5 before a 5000mile drive. Communicated any issues found and discussed the way forward. Top notch.

I've used them for nearly 30 years. They've forgotten more about Landies than anyone else knows. They wield some sort of magic that keeps my antediluvian Rangie P38 safe, legal and going/stopping. And they're so kind and helpful to an old lady (me, as well as her).

I contacted them on a Monday at 8 and explained I was going away for the weekend so needed it fixed that week. They took my car in looked at it and fixed it the same day. Super helpful and friendly service

Although not a regular customer, they sprang to my help when a serious problem occurred with my Freelander 2 and could not have been more helpful or done anymore. Even when a further problem developed, they continued in the same vein and were able to return the car to me by the date originally quoted.
I was made to feel as if I was their only customer, which I certainly wasn't.
Apologies to them for taking such a long time to post this review, which is thoroughly deserved. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

First time on going to thatcham 4x4 it certainly wont be the last should I need help again. I can highly recommend them, very friendly as well.
