New Era Cap- poor customer service
Ordered a sweatshirt from New Era Cap and they sent me the wrong item. Customer service charged me shipping to send this item back and told me if I wanted the original item, I would have to order it again. I never received the item I ordered and I’m out the shipping money for a mistake they made. Customer service refuses to credit the full amount of my payment back to my card. They deducted the shipping cost for my return on an item I never ordered. The back and forth with a customer service rep is a waste of time. Ridiculous. They are thieves!

The picture of the delivery is so blurry I cant even identify where they dropped the package off. To pass the burden of your failed relationship with your carrier to your customers is horrible practices. Do not order from New Era unless you are comfortable with not receiving your order.

I run a nonprofit little league team. Purchased hats for my team and the company randomly canceled my order. I reached out to customer service to see what was going on. They mentioned to me due to fraud on my addresses they have to automatically cancel my order. I provided screen shots of the address. Because I used the numerical value instead of writing the address they canceled it? I mean you think you provide the screenshots it would be enough. I got a sad of an excuse saying it was my fault. Even asked for free shipping for my reorder because they said I have to reorder... denied me. Never had I ever had issues with a company like this. Customer service is absolutely disgusting. I work in the customer service/financial industry for many years; I would never treat any of my clients like this. My nonprofit little league team now has to wait double of the time. My poor kids, we used our fundraiser money for that. Do better New Era!!!
About to lose a long time customer
1. Usually I’m satisfied with New Era, but my last two encounters with them have left me very disappointed. I ordered a USA soccer hat, and it was deformed, so I had to return it and reorder it, rather than just exchanging it, which means that I didn’t get my original deal and had to pay shipping… RIDICULOUS! Then, the hat that I reordered, was a different hat, but had the same deformity!!! I asked if they could guarantee that if I returned it and re-ordered it again, that it wouldn’t be deformed and they said that it goes through their normal process, which obviously wasn’t good enough the first two orders. So I have a hat style that I really like, that has a deformity…
2. I tried using a coupon code and it came up with an error message. They told me that I may need to try a different payment method as the one I selected was throwing off the discount code. I told them several times that I hadn’t even selected a payment method yet before it was rejecting the discount code. Very frustrating that they don’t listen.

New Era: Where the policies are made up and the website doesn't matter.
My husband played it safe and bought my birthday gift early because New Era’s website proudly advertised a 60-day return policy. Imagine our surprise when we tried to exchange a jacket size within that window, only to be told they secretly switched to 30 days back in January.
Apparently, New Era has an 'internal' policy they keep as a surprise for after you’ve spent your money. It’s impressive that a multi-million dollar company has a marketing team too lazy to update a landing page, yet a customer service team so rigid they won't honor what is currently in print on their own site.
Dealing with 'Cassidy' and the autogenerated runaround was the perfect way to cap off my birthday with some of the worst service I’ve experienced. You didn’t just lose a return; you lost a lifelong customer and an entire family of fans. Update your website or your standards, preferably both.
Since you refuse to honor your own stated written policy, I’ll just be letting my credit card company handle this via a chargeback for 'misrepresentation of services.'

I will never purchase anything else from this company. The shipping time is ridiculous. They have no sense of urgency. Over a week and the order still says waiting on details. I will be sticking with LIDS who actually care about their customers and contacting my bank to dispute if it's not shipped soon.

Horrible customer service…placed an order two weeks ago and my order still hasn’t shipped. Only way to contact customer service is via email and they don’t seem to care about resolving issues or providing service.

BS discount codes offered for email sign up, then free shipping that dont work and dont explain why.
Essentially they are fake or only for cheap run out stock.
Upon asking the reply is 'Please note that discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with items that are already on sale, including best sellers, hot market styles, limited-edition releases, collaborations, featured collections, core or accessories. These items are excluded from additional promotions due to existing pricing, limited availability, or high demand." lol

I will not buy from them again. They sent my order out and I only received one hat and rest of my order with suppose to be 4 more hats didn't come in. I emailed the company basically was told they don't do replacement orders and all I asked for more info as well as if they could look into why I didn't get the rest of my order!

This is now the 4th order I have had where FedshittyEx has been used. Do not buy directly from NewEra, again, buy at a team shop or league shop.

If I could give a zero I would. They never honor discounts. It is a scam. They provide discount codes and free shipping code, sign up for email and then once the order is placed, it never gives you the discounts or option to enter it at checkout. You end up paying full price. I have placed several orders and each time same fairy tale discounts offered, check out and no discounts applied or option to use codes. I email and same response. No one does anything about it. Love the product but It is a dishonest company. What a shame.
Repeated Order Cancellations Without Clear Explanation
I am extremely disappointed with New Era’s handling of my recent orders.
I placed multiple legitimate orders for personal use and provided valid payment methods. I previously completed a successful purchase in 2022 using the same shipping address without any issue.
Despite this history, my recent orders were cancelled under a generic “fraudulent order” explanation. No specific clarification was provided, and no opportunity for additional verification was offered.
I made myself available to confirm my identity and payment details, used multiple verified payment methods, and received no meaningful response, neither by email nor SMS.
Cancelling orders after holding funds and providing no direct explanation is not acceptable customer service.
If certain shipping addresses or payment combinations are restricted, this should be clearly stated at checkout instead of cancelling confirmed orders without proper communication.
I am requesting:
1. A clear and specific explanation for the cancellation.
2. A review of my account.
3. Confirmation on how I can successfully complete a legitimate purchase.
I expect a professional response to resolve this matter.
New Era Exclusive Boston Red Sox Floral Cap
I am reviewing the exclusive Boston Red Sox floral visor 9TWENTY cap, adjustable. Its a beautiful cap I love the sewed floral detailing on the visor but would have loved the flowers to have matched with the purple gradient "B" as well. This would have provided that element to stand out more on the hat. I don't like the choice of the material. It is too thin/light for my taste and I did notice some areas of the hat that are thinner than other areas. The only reason why this hat might last me a while is because I don't wear hats often (only when big games come around or when game season starts) and because I rotate between the few that I own. The navigation within the website is easy to comprehend. The search bar is defiantly the most helpful when searching exactly what I want and what actually exists in inventory. I would like to see more Boston Red Sox adjustable options that are not snapbacks or sizes between S-L. Most of the designs that I truly loved are all either snapbacks or size S-L. I would say that overall my experience with this website and the hat wasn't terrible but it wasn't excellent either. I think for something that is labeled exclusive and with a $40 price tag, the overall material could have been better.
Ordered four hats
Ordered four hats, they took my money, marked the order fulfilled 15 days later. Received only one hat with a completely different tracking number 20 days later. The order is marked fulfilled on there site, and fedex says new era has created a label for the order but have not given them the package... it has now been 25 days and I cannot get any verification whatsoever if my hats have been sent or not. Awful service,I will never buy from this site again, they also refused to offer any form of compensation for my delays, and or their mistakes and overall dishonesty. I find this absurd and being a business owner would never allow a customer to feel this way.
NEW ERA Deceiving price
Ordered multiple caps from NEW ERA. When the order came the price tag on the caps were significantly lower than what they had charged. Their reason is that is just the way they do business. They charged twice as much of the sticker price. They suggested that I return the products but after reading the reviews here I’d rather keep them than dealing with another nightmare. I asked if roles were reversed if they would be alright with that situation… NO ANSWER. BEWARE of this company they will steal your money and wouldn’t do anything right by the customers even when it is clear that they are wrong.
