Nick's Building Avis 

I ordered set of new doors for the whole house. Many interior and exterior doors. Large order. Ordering went well until we paid the money and after that things started to get worse. It took them almost 3 months to make the order. Well, we patiently waited thinking we will get the best doors ever. Then the delivery was scheduled and doors came with simple food grade plastic covers - basically not protected. Several doors were damaged during shipping and looked like some of the were damaged and then someone attempted to do a quick fix and got the doors covered in stains in many spots, which made it worse. Some exterior doors came apart while waiting to be installed. Customer service was rude and only wanted to partially refund for what they should have refunded in full. No compensation for time lost and search for defective door replacement. Frankly saying, their interior doors are cheaply made, exterior are somewhat better but still not worth the money. Plus, since you have to pay upfront, no way to get money back if something is wrong with doors. Now 5 months after order, issues are still not resolved. Find some good local company and check each door before money are paid. I learned the hard way.

I couldn't be happier with my door. Incredible craftsmanship. I received a lot of assistance with the ordering portion and delivery and fortunately for me things went as planned. I have had great difficulty locating help locally with my lockset after being unsuccessful in not only troubleshooting via telephone but also with lock sales department and the manufacturer additionally. It has lessened the overall experience and still has me frustrated even 5 months out since my purchase.

Door is beautiful. Excellent workmanship - very satisfied. Took a chance buying somewhat sight unseen but worked out very well.

I ordered an unfinished Alder pine door. The quality is beyond wonderful. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The craftsmanship is top notch and the hardware is very high quality. Delivery time was as advertised and shipping crate was itself a work of functional art. Absolutely bombproof.

I will absolutely be ordering my patio doors here when the time comes.

Beautiful door arrived well protected. Love the quality. They delivery came on time with no issues. They were very helpful when I called with questions, even when they were about to close and the web designer was able to steer me to the right door.

The Door is just beautiful. But it was soooo difficult to get a shipping date. I was told multiple things by multiple people which made it impossible to coordinate the stucco work on a new building.

A little more difficult to order a door online. The folks there where quite helpful. I feel the quality of the door is very good. I would and have recommended Nicks

Doors look great, It took way to long to get the finished product. If they have a million doors in stock you would think that there might of been some jams laying around somewhere! 4 weeks was a bit much in my book.

This is the second time I have ordered a product from Nick's Building Supply. The first time a few years ago, I ordered 2 Redwood and Cedar Garage doors, this time an African Mahogany Front Doors with side lites....Each time my high expectations were exceeded! The doors are absolutely beautiful, (even the carpenters kept remarking how beautiful the doo was). Not only that, but the prices were the best! I did a ton of research, and no one came close, pricewise. Everything came is as ordered and in perfect condition. These guys are the best!!!

The pre-hung doors were exactly as expected, high quality and easy to install - I also ordered matching trim in knotty Alder - I clearly expected knots and even blemishes on the edges but 2 door trim pieces (out of 20) had knots that had 'fallen out' leaving more than half the width of the molding missing. I gave a 4 star rating because of the high quality and indeed the staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. But there were some MAJOR problems. Perhaps my biggest complaint was a lack of communication. Ordering 6 doors and several hundred feet of trim - I had given my credit card and patiently waited for the delivery notice. After more than 6 weeks I called and was informed that I had only paid 50% which is more than fair, BUT I was never notified that the other 50% was owed when the order was completed and was never notified of completion -- I waited so long because I didn't need the doors for 4-5 weeks. After clearing that confusion up and paying the rest of the invoice it took another week to actually get the doors shipped. I was told and have every reason to believe that the doors had been finished for some time and were just sitting waiting to be shipped. I would have expected that they should have immediately gone to the front of the shipping line. One other minor complaint the entire order was but into a single package that was 3 feet by 4 feet by 10 feet and weighted 775 pounds. First there was no way to check the doors on the truck (they were all fine) and second the size of the package made lift gate service impossible and even with 3 or 4 men there is no way to manually off load such a package from a semi truck. It would have helped to break the package into a manageable size for a small builder.

WOW! We ordered our mahogany front door with sidelights from Nicks Building and were more than impressed. Our interior doors just arrived and they appear to be of the same great quality as the exterior door! Highly recommend these guys. The shipping is great too- ours were all shipped a considerable distance- they really crate these things well.
