⭐ 1 STAR – AN EXTREMELY DISTRESSING EXPERIENCE WITH NORDESTHETICS / NORDCLINIC, LITHUANIA

I travelled from Scotland to Lithuania for facelift and neck surgery in September 2024, trusting the clinic’s recommendations, website and reviews. I was not told until after surgery that Dr Samulenas performed facial surgery and Dr Pajedas specialised in body surgery. I believe I was given a surgeon without sufficient facial surgery experience. I strongly advise against considering Dr Pajedas for facial surgery.

I experienced nerve damage, significant scarring, persistent neck pain, restricted movement, visible platysma bands, drooping and extensive fibrous tissue damage. My revision surgeon documented the damage and recorded the corrective procedure so I could see what had been done. I was also informed that the sutures had been tied too tightly.

Two independent plastic surgery professors advised in writing that the clinic’s proposed scar revision was unsuitable because my skin was already too tight and there was insufficient skin remaining. I therefore required steroid injections, four CO2 laser treatments and corrective surgery, including platysmaplasty and a temporal lift. This cost me approximately £8,000 in addition to the original surgery.

I provided medical evidence, photographs and documentation to Lithuania’s Patient Health Damage Assessment Commission. I dispute aspects of the clinic’s records and believe they did not accurately reflect my condition after surgery. Despite the evidence, my compensation claim was rejected. In my opinion, my pain, restricted movement, platysma bands, scarring and independent medical opinions were not properly addressed.

I found the complaints process extremely difficult and inaccessible. I do not speak Lithuanian, yet I was expected to read and respond in Lithuanian, complete forms in Lithuanian and verify my identity at substantial personal cost. I was told the decision could not be reconsidered and that my only option was court proceedings in Lithuania.

I have never had comparable problems with previous surgery or other scars. I believe the clinic failed to take responsibility or offer appropriate help beyond an unsuitable scar-revision proposal.

The physical, financial and emotional consequences have been devastating, and I continue to live with the effects. Please thoroughly research your surgeon’s qualifications and experience, the clinic’s aftercare and your legal options before travelling abroad for cosmetic surgery.

Based on my experience, I would never choose this clinic again and cannot recommend it.

From the moment I was admitted to the clinic, through the surgery and postoperative care, everything was absolutely first-class. The entire staff was professional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. Everything was explained clearly, and any questions I had were answered patiently and thoroughly. A big thank you to my surgeon Valdemar Loiba and a special thank you for my nurses Iveta K. and Vita V. for their professionalism, kindness, and the excellent care they provided throughout my stay. The surgery went smoothly, and the care I received afterwards was outstanding to say the least. I truly appreciate the way I was treated not only as a patient, but as a person. Esu labai patenkinta savo pasirinkimu, kad pasiryžau pilvo plastikos operacijai ir pasirinkau šią kliniką. Kodėl čia?
Ilgai nesvarščiau, pasidomėjus apie gydytojų patirtį (per metus atliekama5000 operacijų) abejonių neliko. Dėl kainos?
Nesigilinau, panašiai visur tas pats. Kai ateina galimybė išpildyti seną svajonę - pašalinti po 3 nėštumų likusias problemas, pasirodo turėjau ir pilvo raumenų plyšimą( diastazė).
Moterys, jei turite tokių problemų, niekada nevėlu, man 52 m. Jei labai nori ir pinigų tam reikalui atsiras.

I am 4 weeks post op breast reduction and uplift. Although im still in recovery, i am really pleased with the results I see so far and have experienced minimal pain and discomfort. No issues at all. The clinc itself is absolutely beautiful, clean and has a friendly atmosphere. The staff are so attentive and help in any way they can. Their english is also impressive. I was particularly grateful for Jolanta (receptionist), Olga (nurse) and Inga (aesthetics nurse/general nurse) for their care and support. They stood out to me as being extra supportive and went the extra mile to provide a high quality of care. The staff work so hard. Inga particularly put me at ease and had an excellent sense of humour lessening my anxiety of the experience. I am very grateful for her help and support- she is definitely in the right profession and is incredible at her job.

I cant thank my rep Roberta enough for all the organising she did for me through emails- communication was excellent, concise and professional. Roberta happy to help and answered any questions I had. Whole experience was exactly what I asked for and Roberta ensured this was facilitated smoothly.

The logistics team were also fabulous and always reliable to pick me up and transfer me to the clinic on time. The logistics staff drivers were friendly, chatty and helpful. I was grateful for their assistance getting to and from the clinic.

​I had upper eyelid surgery and an eyebrow lift at Nordclinic in Kaunas. The entire experience was simply flawless. The process, from the pre-operative tests to the final check-up, was perfectly planned and smooth. I spent the night at the clinic after the surgery, where I was surrounded by a professional and caring team.
​The biggest thank you goes to plastic surgeon Gediminas Samulenas for his wonderful work, sincere communication, and professionalism. The doctor explained everything about the surgery and the recovery period in great detail, which brought a lot of peace of mind. This is not my first time having surgery with Gediminas Samulenas, and if I need anything else done in the future, I would return to him. I am very satisfied with the result and highly recommend this clinic to others!
