Oh Sew Crafty Avis 

Great experience every time with Oh Sew Crafty. Always updated on deliveries. Website very easy to use and simple paying. When something I ordered had been suddenly out of stock they emailed me and offered to replace with a substitute of my choice. When I did this they were very fast with a response and my order was completed and processed. The quality of the fabric has always been outstanding and colours spot on. I am now a regular customer.

I have most of my fabrics from this company, and have done for a couple of years. I make Textile bags and purses + Christmas tableware.
Mail order is dealt with quickly and they will always ask for advice if something out of stock.

I’ve placed several orders with Oh Sew Crafty and they always despatch quickly. The fabrics are incredibly good quality. They’re one of my favourite, go to, online fabric shops.

​I am extremely disappointed with both the product and the seller. During use, this item sheds an alarming amount of microplastics, which is a significant quality and environmental concern.
​When I contacted the seller to report the issue and request a return, they were completely uncooperative. Not only did they refuse to accept the return, but they also had the audacity to claim that releasing massive amounts of microplastic is "completely normal." It is absolutely not normal, and selling such poorly made, hazardous items while refusing to take responsibility is unacceptable. Buyers beware: poor quality and zero customer support.

I’ve had a really bad experience with this company. It feels like a scam to me, and I’m starting to think this is how they operate.

I bought two metres of fabric from them, but they sent me a completely different fabric, with a different colour and pattern. I emailed them asking for a refund, but I still haven’t heard back.

This was actually my second shopping experience with them. The first time, I bought a sewing pattern, but they later told me it was sold out and suggested replacing it with something else.

It seems to me that this might be their main selling strategy: you order something, they send you something similar instead, and many people probably can’t be bothered to complain or don’t even notice the difference.

Having asked some technical questions re one of the fabrics they supplied me I was contacted back immediately and received a very detailed and full answer to my question. Very impressed

One of my ordered items wasn't in stock. I was informed promptly and the refund given without delay.

Posting and tracking details were full and timely.

I ordered fabric that i needed the next day. The service i received was great.
The fabric came on time and the fabric was good quality, good price and suited the job.
I communicated via email, which was responded to promptly.

I have bought fabric from this company many times and always had good service, I had a small problem with my recent order they not only replied to my email on a Sunday evening but sent me a replacement within two days , excellent customer service

Customer service is so good and so quick. I had to cancel an order because I was unable to source all the yarn I needed for a project. The money was refunded within half an hour of my request.
I will definitely shop with them again.

Ordered off ebay, and spent close to £50 on 4m of fabric and multiple gutterman threads. I've been charged and notified that my order was dispatched. I paid for 48hr royal mail tracked postage and no tracking number was ever shared. The seller is non responsive on ebay and its been 8 days with no delivery or information on the status of my order, let alone resolution to this. Other reviews detail similar experiences. I havent got my money back nor my order and have been ignored by the seller despite multiple messages requesting my paid for tracking details and updates on the whereabouts of my order. It appears that nothing was sent, my moneys been taken and they wont be responding nor refunding me. Ill be taking this further with ebay, but would never use this company again based on my experience. Incredibly disappointing.

Have been using this company for a number of years, also quite competitive on price and lots of stock choice as well. Communication is excellent with company and alternatives are always offered if a certain item is out of stock. Would definitely recommend 😀

Although three of the items were out of stock Oh Sew Crafty got touch to advise me and I chose an alternative. They replied to my email within a few hours Very good customer service. Nothing too much trouble as it should be. Jannette

Order placed Thursday 13 August. Email received afternoon of Tuesday 18 August letting me know the fabric has 'become out of stock whilst processing the order'. The email mentions they want to offer me a substitute: no mention of a refund, The email says they will deal with it (substitution) 'right away' but despite mailing them at 3:30pm, I have not had a response. Then I receive an automated email asking me to leave a review on Trustpilot!!!

It has clearly taken them 5 days to start to process my order. In that time, I can only assume the bolt has remained on the shop floor where someone can walk into the warehouse and buy the fabric there and then leading to my order not being met and being offered a substitution.

The fabric was needed to cut another bodice after fitting adjustments, so now I have collar pieces, sleeves, and a back bodice for a blouse I cannot complete all because OSC did not start to process my order (ie remove the bolt from the shop floor) in a timely manner leading to the fabric becoming out of stock AFTER my order was placed and paid for. Not only that but the haberdashery items I have used are now wasted.

And none of this has been handled in real time. There has been no phone call to discuss and, as I mentioned above, the email makes no mention of a refund; just a substitution.

Extremely poor customer service for a small family business where they should be able to go above and beyond for their customers
