Olanka Travels Avis

My husband and I together with my brother and sister in law had a very memorable 17 day holiday in Sri Lanka. As my brother had visited Sri Lanka before we customised our travel with Olanka Tours. Olanka provided us with a new Toyota van and Janith who was our driver/guide.
We were very happy with our accommodation. It exceeded our expectations. We travelled from Negombo to Anuradhapura Jaffna Trincomelee Sigiriya Kandy Nuwara Eliya Ella Yala Galle and Colombo.
Every place had it's own history and archaeological highlights. Our stand out was Nuwara Eliya and drive there through the hills of misty tea estates and the cool climate. Also the myriad waterfalls after the rain. We enjoyed fantastic food with buffets for breakfast and dinners with dishes from many countries. All the staff were extremely helpful and courteous.
Janith was a very good driver who made us feel very safe. He took very good care of us. He was very attentive and provided what we needed without being asked and also took us to great restaurants for our lunches when we were on the road. Sri Lanka lived up to all of our expectations and we would have no hesitation recommending Olanka Travels to anyone. Congratulations Olanka Travels on a great team and thanks again to Janith for all you did to give us an unforgettable holiday.

Olanka travels arranged everything for my Sri Lankan trip (flight and visa DIY). The hotels they selected were good ( have option to select 3 star and 4 star). The booking process was smooth (pay 30% at time of booking and balance before or when your trip begins). The driver and guide Amila was great especially for showing local places for lunch.

We had a fantastic experience with Olanka Travels for our trip to Sri Lanka! Everything was organized down to the smallest detail, with impeccable professionalism from the very first contact. A special shout-out and heartfelt thanks goes to our driver, Douglas. More than just a driver, Douglas was a true guide and an extraordinary travel companion.
Safe and impeccable driving: He drove with extreme caution even in the heaviest traffic, always making us feel 100% safe.
Punctuality and cleanliness: The car was always spotless, fresh, and smelled great every morning. Douglas always arrived right on time with his wonderful smile.
He showed us local highlights, typical fruits, and places off the beaten path that we would never have discovered on our own. He knows the country like the back of his hand and was always ready to satisfy our every curiosity or need. Thanks to him, it was an even more wonderful experience.

Extremely professional team who managed every bit of our trip details meticulously. Right from planning the trip, booking accommodation, attractions, everything was perfect. The car was extremely clean and our guide Sammera was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Kanishka was alsways very responsive and helped us plan the holidays to our needs and satisfaction.

The country is beautiful and people very kind. If you are planning your maiden or next trip to SL I certainly recommend Olanka travels.

We were a group of 5 women friends celebrating significant birthdays eotjn Sri Lanka and found Olanka great to deal with, we had a number of calls pre trip to tailor our itinery. Our driver Asela was very helpful and polite and a great driver, and we felt looked after very well. The hotels they selected were fabulous. Sri Lanka is a wonderful country we were so lucky to be able to visit.

We have had an incredible 11 day holiday in Sri Lanka. We visited Colombo, Galle, Haputale, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and Sigiriya. From ancient temples and elephant encounters to scenic train rides, tea plantations, and historic forts, every day offered something unique and memorable.
The star of the journey was Asela our wonderful driver who didn’t just take us from one beautiful hotel to another. He organised everything seamlessly and was unruffled when we made last minute changes. He was punctual and kind and nothing seamed too big a request. We never once had to worry about logistics, directions or timing because Asela had everything under control.
Sri Lanka exceeded all expectations, it is a stunningly beautiful country, the people are so warm and friendly, the food is absolutely delicious and the variety of landscapes is staggering.
Thank you Asela and Olanka travels for a truly unforgettable holiday.

We have just got home from the most magical trip.
From start to finish the service has been excellent. I first contacted Geethanjali at Olanka after a recommendation, after many tweeks to our itinerary we made it perfect. Nothing was too much hassle and the response time always blew my mind, given the time difference my emails were always answered very quickly!
The minute we arrived in Sri Lanka we were greeted by the most wonderful driver Anura, where he gifted us with shell necklaces.
He was perfect for our family, clearly very passionate about his country and for the people there. His hospitality knew no bounds (even a little store run and drop off when the hotel didn’t do my favourite drink). He made sure the that we visited things at the quieter times and always escorted us through gates to ensure everything ran smoothly. We never felt rushed to get to the next thing and didn’t feel a bother if we were finished sooner. He knew so much and could always answer our questions.
I honestly cannot thank Anura enough for the warm way he treated my family, the ‘babies’ were so comfortable around him and it was bear hugs all around when time to say goodbye.
All of the included experiences were great and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Top tip - do not go for first class on the train!
All in all it was a fantastic trip with even better service from Olanka. Thank you so much!

We recently completed our family tour of Sri Lanka with Olanka Travels, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was organized professionally and flawlessly.

The airport welcome was warm, well-coordinated, and made us feel comfortable right from the start. The transport arrangements throughout the trip were excellent. The vehicle was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making our long journeys enjoyable and stress-free.

The hotel selections were outstanding. Every hotel was carefully chosen, offering excellent comfort, beautiful locations, delicious food, and great hospitality. The itinerary was perfectly planned, allowing us to enjoy Sri Lanka's beautiful beaches, wildlife, mountains, and scenic landscapes without feeling rushed.

A special thanks to our tour guide and driver, who were truly exceptional. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, punctual, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our family was comfortable. Their friendliness and dedication made our trip even more memorable.

Special thank you and appreciation for Ms. Geetanjali for her excellent planning, coordination, and support throughout our journey. We highly recommend Olanka Travels to anyone planning a holiday in Sri Lanka. They truly deliver a first-class travel experience, and we look forward to travelling with them again in the future.

Thank you, Olanka Travels, for giving us unforgettable memories!

My tour was customised to my personal needs
Times and choice of activities was great
The driver and my tour guide was very punctual, caring and very accommodating for any changes

Nirmani was very helpful when planning our Sri Lanka holiday, answering all our questions promptly and providing good advice. Shanuka our driver has gone above and beyond to provide outstanding service. He is polite, friendly, professional and has made our experience a lot of fun.

My girlfriend and I recently returned from a fantastic 11 day holiday in Sri Lanka.
I found Olanka online, and was quickly chatting with Aarthi (our tour coordinator) to organise the trip.
The basic plan was tweaked several times as Aarthi and I worked through a few options. She was great and quick to respond with any requests and price adjustments.

Upon arrival, we were met at the airport by our driver and guide Douglas. He was an excellent guide, and was happy to offer options on things we could choose to do or not...never pressuring us to do or see things we weren't keen on. But also happy to stop when we wanted to go for a walk, or buy some fruit on the roadside. Good driving on the sometimes testing roads, and always happy to impart his knowledge of the areas we passed through.

The accommodation chosen by Aarthi/Olanka was all excellent (we chose the 4 star option), and some of them were in beautiful locations. The rooms were large, and amenities good - and some lovely pools too. Often further away from the towns, but this was not a concern for us. Hotel meals were good, but not anything special.

Overall we had a truly amazing holiday - thanks to Olanka, Aarthi, Douglas, and the wonderful people and sites of Sri Lanka 😊

We had an amazing 12-day summer trip to Sri Lanka organized by Olanka Travels. Their professional service was evident right from the start. A huge shoutout to our travel advisor, Mery Princyla, for her flawless planning and prompt communication throughout the process every hotel booked by Olanka was excellent.

A extra special thanks to Tharanga Peries, who stayed with us throughout the entire journey. Tharanga was far more than a chauffeur he was an amazing guide and a great friend who truly made our trip unforgettable.

Olanka exceeded our expectations, and we will absolutely continue to book with them in the future.

10/10 recommendation!

We traveled to Sri Lanka for the first time, and were nervous to try a travel agent and personal tour guide as we had never done it before. Olanka Travels made us feel at ease from day one with their immediate and helpful service. Our agent Dinasha tailor made our itinerary to perfect. And when we arrived and met our guide Shanuka we were instantly made to feel welcome. Our 3 year old son was also made to feel comfortable with Shanuka who went out of his way to make sure we didn’t struggle with anything during the tour.
Thank you Olanka Travels and these individuals who made our family vacation so special.

We recently booked our holiday through Olanka Travels, and despite an unexpected last-minute flight cancellation that nearly threw our entire trip off track, the experience turned out to be excellent.

A special thanks to Subo, who responded immediately, arranged alternative flights, and ensured our itinerary stayed largely intact.

The trip was well planned, communication was prompt, and everything went exactly as promised, allowing us to enjoy a memorable vacation.

A special mention to our driver and guide, Kamal. He was always punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to travel with.

A big thank you to Subo and the entire Olanka team for their excellent support. We had a wonderful time and would be happy to recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Sri Lanka.

Cheers - Rajiv

We had a wonderful experience with Olanka Travels. The entire trip was very professional, smooth, and well organized from start to finish. Transportation was comfortable and reliable, and all the hotels booked for us were excellent, with amazing rooms and beautiful views.

A special thanks to Buddhini Kaushi, our destination expert and booking coordinator. She did an outstanding job managing every detail of our trip, ensuring everything—including visa-related requirements—was taken care of thoroughly. We especially appreciated her quick response during an emergency when we had to reschedule our trip by one day. She handled everything efficiently in less than 24 hours, which was truly impressive.

Our chauffeur, Tiron Silva, was equally wonderful. He was friendly, professional, and made our journey even more enjoyable by sharing the history and significance of the places we visited. His knowledge, hospitality, and excellent service added great value to our trip.

Overall, we are very happy with Olanka Travels and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Sri

Olanka took care of nearly everything. Subo our agent was always available if there were any queries or concerns. We decided where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do but they also gave suggestions as to what other activities we could do in the areas we wanted to go. We had a great driver/guide who was always prompt, a safe driver and knowledgeable about the places we went. They chose the hotels according to our requests but we could change these before the finalised itinerary. An easy company to deal with.

Olanka travels was such a great choice for us. Subodini was my travel planner and she took care of everything. She was always there for me, answering my questions and just was nothing short of amazing. Our driver Shalom was so polite and friendly, he was always on time, always ready to help and offered information whenever we needed. Definitely recommend him as a driver, you will be in safe and friendly hands!

We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The customer service was excellent throughout—reliable, friendly, and always helpful. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end.

We would definitely book again with Olanka Travel. Anjali was very friendly, approachable, and a pleasure to deal with. Our guide/driver was outstanding and truly made the trip special.
