Travelling alone, I wanted an introduction to Vilnius that would help me feel comfortable exploring independently. Starting at Cathedral Square, we wandered through the Old Town, visited the Gates of Dawn, and discovered the creative streets of Užupis. By the end of the tour I wasn't reaching for my map anymore I was confidently continuing the rest of my day using my guide's local recommendations.
I joined one of Opatrip’s walking tours in Vilnius about two weeks ago, and it was a really pleasant experience. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining the history in a way that felt natural rather than scripted.
The highlights for me were the small hidden streets in the Old Town and the stories behind them. One memorable moment was hearing about Užupis and its unique atmosphere it made the tour feel a bit more special.
Overall, it was well-organized and easy to follow. A good option if you want a simple, informative introduction to the city.
Last weekend I took a mystery walking tour in Prague's old town from Opatrip.com and it was a really interesting experience. The guide was truly engaging and told a lot of interesting history facts and legends. Personally, the highlight for me was the time at Charles bridge and hearing all the dark stories and legends, it was memorable. Overall, I think it is a solid choice if you're interested into local legends and want something more than just a standard tour.
