Perfect from start to finish

I purchased 6 Richmond dining chairs from Otello’s Home and the service was excellent from beginning to end. I asked a few questions about the colour of the chairs and the response was very quick and extremely helpful. The chairs themselves are an absolute joy! I couldn’t be any happier with the whole experience. I would definitely purchase from Otello’s Home in the future.

Love your products

So far so good, still waiting for my coffee table but kept informed all the way, warehouse has checked to make sure it’s in perfect condition and now it’s on way to me will update when it arrives 😍

Item arrived far smaller than…not as described as bar table

Item arrived far smaller than advertised “bar table” instead this was a table not something bar stools could fit under 😡! I measured the width but stupidly didn’t the height as it was stated it was a bar table but this is not as described.

Waited weeks for the order and contacted day or arrival to say I had a problem this took few says for them to respond ! Returns were at customer cost !
One which was over £50 to return. Extortionate price but felt didn’t have a choice to reduce risk breakage, company didn’t even offer to pay despite wrong advertising not a bar table !
Item was collected Thursday 02/04/2026 I contacted company to inform but have received no communication or acknowledgement and sent another emails to follow this up with no response. I don’t find this customer service to be very good at all. Appear quick to take your money but not to refund, even when customer doesn’t get refund collection paid and pays an extortionate amount !
Company will know item collected yet nothing !
Wouldn’t buy again from here and advise
PLEASE BE WARNED THINK TWICE !

Extra Option Needed at Checkout

I absolutely love my Richmond Interiors Coffee Table and the delivery timeframes from Otello’s were spot on. However I wish I’d been given the option for ‘unpacking’ as it was extremely heavy and a nightmare for me to unpack on my own.

Fantastic value and quality

I ordered a marble side table and believe me it is so beautiful the picture doesn't do it justice. It is so well made and heavy, the marble has beautiful markings. It was delivered so well wrapped. I was notified the day before delivery which was brilliant.

Elephant ornament

Ordered late on Friday night. Arrived Tuesday afternoon! Was expecting it to take the 10 days stayed. Super quick service.
Tracked and emailed with updates on delivery.
Quality is fantastic and great price too. Very surprised with the postage price. So cheap! Looks bigger than dimensions. Very pleased with it. Thank you.

5 Star Customer Service

Placed 2 orders with Otello’s recently and was my first time shopping with them and the service has been brilliant from start to finish.
I had a couple of issues with my orders - completely my own fault but when I reached out, Helen dealt with everything efficiently and with a good attitude.

So many businesses just don’t behave this way anymore and it seems to be a fight to get good customer service so it has been refreshing to deal with a company that gets it and for that reason I will be shopping here again and recommending to my friends!

Great Customer Service

I ordered some gorgeous cushions but when I checked the colour against some curtain fabric, they weren't quite right. I e-mailed Customer Services asking if I could cancel the order and Helen managed to intercept the delivery and refunded me immediately! Excellent customer service, will definitely use them again!

I recently contacted Otello`s Home…

I recently contacted Otello`s Home (spoke to Helen) to enquire about a sideboard they have for sale on the website and wanted it shipped to Spain for our holiday home. I felt she went above and beyond to help me get the best price and also came back to me almost straight away. The products they sell are high end and Unique I love this site. Great experience

Great experience. I saw an item that looked like it would match for something I already have - same manufacturer etc. But it looked a bit lighter in colour in some pics.They sell my existing item too. Helen checked and compared them for me, told me there was a colour difference, so saved me the hassle of being disappointed, and having to return it. Honest and truly helpful.

Useless!

Was left waiting for the item weeks beyond the expected delivery date and when the item finally arrived it was broken. I did request a replacement and a few days later I had an email saying they would refund the cost as they no longer wanted to stock the item because they could not trust themselves to deliver it in one piece. Never used Otello's before and never will again!

I completely understand your frustration, both with the delay to your order and the item arriving damaged, this is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide, so please accept my sincere apologies for this.

I would also like to provide a little more context around the resolution that we provided. While I fully appreciate that you would have preferred a replacement, the decision to issue a full refund was made to protect you from further inconvenience and delays. Based on what we had seen with this particular item across multiple orders, it had become clear that there was an ongoing issue with it arriving damaged in transit, and it was highly likely a replacement would encounter the same problem.

For that reason, we made the decision to remove the item from our website entirely and escalate this with our supplier to review and improve the packaging, rather than risk putting customers through the same frustrating experience again.

Our resolution was made with your convenience in mind, and our intention was to provide the quickest and most reliable resolution for you, which is why your refund was issued in full promptly.

We are a small, family-run business and we genuinely care about every order and every customer experience, so feedback like this is taken very seriously.

I am truly sorry that we didn’t get this right on this occasion, and I do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

Quality lovely cabinet

Consumer rights breech

My order was marked as delivered 5 days ago but it was never received.

Instead of resolving the issue, the company is refusing to refund or replace the item while they carry out an “investigation” with FedEx. In the meantime, they are holding onto my money.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods remain the retailer’s responsibility until they are delivered into the customer’s possession.

I am effectively being told I must wait potentially weeks while they investigate their courier, despite the fact that my contract is with them, not FedEx.

To make matters worse, the item is now out of stock and they’ve offered to put me on a backorder until June (three months away) for goods I never received.

This is not acceptable customer service and it is not compliant with consumer law. Customers should not be left out of pocket while a retailer sorts out their own courier issues.

Very disappointing experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering.

I am really disappointed to hear about your experience, and I’m very sorry for the frustration and concern this situation has caused.

As a small, family run business, we always do everything we can to support our customers in every way, whilst maintaining our very high standards. In this case, we raised a full investigation with FedEx immediately and remained fully supportive throughout, doing everything we could to assist you and keep you updated at every step of the way.

Following their investigation, FedEx provided strong evidence confirming that the parcel was successfully delivered. This includes GPS data placing the driver at the delivery location, along with confirmation from the driver that they contacted you at the time of delivery and, following that conversation, the parcel was handed to a person on-site as instructed.

FedEx also confirmed that the driver revisited the address to follow up and remained certain that the delivery was completed correctly. They advised that the driver attempted to discuss the delivery further and requested to review any available doorbell footage, however this was not provided.

Based on the strength of this evidence, FedEx have formally closed the case as a successful delivery, and we do believe the parcel was delivered in line with their findings.

While we absolutely take responsibility for ensuring our customers receive their orders, once a courier provides this level of confirmed delivery evidence, we are not in a position to override those findings or outcome.

I would also like to gently address your comment regarding a breach of consumer rights. We take our legal responsibilities as a retailer extremely seriously, and based on the outcome of the courier’s investigation and the evidence provided, we are absolutely confident in our position and most certainly have not breached any consumer rights.

We truly appreciate that this wasn’t the outcome you were hoping for, and I am very sorry for the frustration caused throughout. As a small business, we genuinely value each and every one of our customers, and it is never our intention for anyone to feel let down or disappointed with their experience.
