Incorrect marketing claims
The product I purchased (7ltr SLR bag) was actually less than 2ltr capacity when closed in accordance with the provided instructions. Volume tested with water and proved to be less than 2 litres. Customer services gave no feedback regarding the false description and the product is still on the website claiming the wrong capacity. I paid the extra for the 14ltr bag and found it to be 4 times the size of the 7ltr

After investigating your feedback, we have remeasured the bag and confirmed that the capacity was inaccurately listed as 7 litres. You were right to raise this, and we take full responsibility for the error. The product listing has now been updated on our website to reflect the correct capacity of 4 Litres.
Your feedback has helped us identify and correct this mistake, and we genuinely appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

Solid, spacious, and comfortable to carry
This is one solid bag that will probably still be used two generations hence! Lots of room and the inner pockets are great for storing those smaller items you want easy access to. This has become my go-to bag for long weekends and on-board luggage as it holds all I need, fits both under the seat or overhead luggage bin, and keeps the contents dry and protected. Only negative is that in backpack configuration I find the straps are a little long even when fully tightened and I am a bit over 5’7” so a shorter person might find this uncomfortable.

Fantastic waterproof bag
Bag was great, keeps all of my gear and laptop dry on my morning commute in the winter. Arrived quickly, ordered at 1430 and was dispatched the same day.

100% waterproof and worth the money!
I've used OverBoard a few times over the years and have brought another one of their waterproof rucksacks, it's the only make I've found that is 100% waterproof, even over time! They may seem expensive to you but it is well worth the money 👍🏻

Tried and tested original backpack
I am a long term user and have just made a repurchase of the yellow original 20 litre backpack. My previous one was used a lot over many years as a bike commuting bag in all weathers. Also handy for camping and kayaking. It has never let me down and is really comfortable to wear and carries a good load of gear and protects it. The old one just became a bit scruffy over time and slightly frayed at the opening but has been regifted as still works and nothing broke. I have a 30 litre similar bag from another company but it’s a too big for my main use.

Top-notch customer service
Top-notch customer service. We received our bag, and it has a slight mark on it. We were offered a discount on the product or a replacement. We chose a replacement, and it was all sorted super quickly. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant interaction and would definitely order again, knowing the customer service is exceptional.

Built well and good value
Prompt shipping 3/3 of my orders, well-boxed and packaged.
I have two classic 17L waterproof panniers and a classic 35L waterproof backpack. I am very happy with their products' build quality and value for money. I expect they are very waterproof although I've only experienced medium rain for relatively short durations.

Durability is not good
I’ve had two bags - the first was great. The second has fallen apart pretty quickly.
The side pocket and the netting on the strap failed in under 6 months. The handle on the top failed at less than a year and after two there’s a hole in the bottom.
I didn’t register it but when I look at the exclusions in the warranty I suspect it wouldn’t have been covered anyway.
Honestly I’m pretty gutted because the first bag lasted well.
Lastly the Feefo reviews seem great but when you look you have to have had a product recently to get a feedback request. Which is why the trust pilot review score is so low by comparison as there’s a bunch of people complaining about durability

If you haven't already, please contact support@overboard.com with images of the problems and we will take at look at them and see what we can do to help, even if the item hasn't been registered for our extended warranty.
Our bags are designed for durability and longevity by using the best quality materials and parts possible. We also offer a 5 year extended warranty for our products in the unlikely event an item develops a fault, and we will try to repair items if possible first to reduce any waste, however, we don't cover accidental damage or wear and tear to items.
With regards to reviews, we collect our customer reviews through Feefo, an independent review platform, and the requests are sent only to customers that have recently purchased from us so you know that the reviews are from verified buyers and are genuine.

This company seems unaware that the capital city of the NWT, Yellowknife, is fully served by Canada Post as well as a number of courier companies. They cancelled my order based on a vague, unclear rationale, and refused to respond to subsequent inquires for clarification. Very poor customer service, sadly. Would not recommend.

Poor customer experience
Ordered goods from Overboard and received confirmation invoice from them.
On arrival there was an item missing.
E-mailed sales at Overboard regarding this and have had no response.
Just wish I had read reviews on this company before ordering.
I do not like being treated with contempt, so I can't recommend this company.
