I thought the service was great. Travis was quick and very professional. Everyone was very informative, no surprises!!

The "free estimate" is done by email and without a clear understanding of what needs to be done. A representative then calls and asks what you would like to do. After this interaction, the company then sends an installer who visits the residence and makes "an assessment". After a lighting fast assessment, the installer then recommends replacing the entire door in addition to the installation!
In my experience, I decided not to have a garage door opener installed because apparently it would involve replacing the entire door which would have bumped up the cost from approximately $850 to around $3,400! My suggestion is to shop for other opinions and to avoid situations like this. In my opinion. the company should send out an installer to provide an estimate at the location not through an email with a follow up call from an outsourced agent. Everyone's time was wasted during this experience.

I'm a disabled vet in a wheelchair. In the past, I've used OH door, but this recent build was a total disaster from the get go. After getting my deposit for 2 doors, the tech only measured for 1, then they sent a sub from wherever to install both doors. He showed up with 1 opener. Had to come back, he did great, wasn't part of OH door. Had issues with opening and closing, sent a new tech out, he tried, did ok. " manager" of Clayton GA store came out, fixed exposed wires on door sensors, said that was normal install guidelines, and when the 18ft main door wobbled when up/down operations, mgr said dr should've had addtl braces, hmm. Also, he said he couldn't keep coming back to our home to "fix" our little issues. It was a brand new home, and 2 yrs later my workshop door, 9 ft, is loose, chain pops and stop the dr due In closure. I called today, that office is closed, the lady in Columbus GA informed me that I only hada 1 yr warranty, and basically OHdr didn t seem concerned. Thanks OHdr company. I'll never use or recommend your business ever again.

Never again! While the service rep. was very nice and courteous, he spent all but 15 minutes of his time on the phone with his boss and Craftsman asking for repair advice. In the end, I was charged for the service and told I needed a new door opener and would hear back from customer service about the purchase and installation of a new door opener. That was in August, and I've never heard from Overhead Door.

Nice friendly workers. Went over and beyond to fix my garage door and then for a little more money tuned up and replaced some well worn parts. Noise level on my garage went from an 8 to a 1. Hamburg overhead doors is the best

Our technician arrived on time, answered all my questions, replaced what was needed to make the operation of my garage door work and Scott did a great job!
Looks like after reading the reviews this is a franchise so it is important to post the location……..

My garage door was hesitating a couple times when opening. As Overhead installed the door and opener, I requested someone to take a look at it. The repairman was there for about 7 minutes, charged $150.00 to say the opener is old and I should keep it until it stops working completely. Their labor rate must be between $900 -1000.00 per hour Then gave a $674.00 quote for a new opener and asked if I wanted to replace the opener. As he did not actually do any kind of service or repair, what was I charged $150.00 for? Obviously, I will not be using this company again as they lack ethics and integrity. Garage door openers are about $140.00 - 175.00 at most hardware stores. Why would I pay this company almost $700.00? This is for Overhead Door Company of Northwest Indiana.

I could go on forever about what we went through with this company but I won’t.
Do yourself a favour and stay away from them worsts experience I have had being in the construction industry for 40 years

Just had my doors installed, while they were installing my doors, one of the young guys messed up my sheetrock and then I had to pay them to get the materials to fix it and then said I would have to fix it myself and I said, I don't that, you messed it up and the guy said well we normally have someone else to do this type of work (which is incorrect/the sales person said that they would handle fixing that themselves) still spent additional $100 to get them to fix what they messed up and it still looks like a hot mess, will never deal with them again.

First Repair: Tensioner Spring Failure. OD did not have the correct tensioner spring, so they installed the spring from a lighter door.
Second Repair: First repair's tension spring caused a door derailment. Asked OD to reinstall rollers/rails and replace the tension spring - they reinstalled rollers/rails and increased tension on the incorrect spring such that the door flies open whenever unlocked.

Had an order in since April 2024 no response to telephone calls and emails but claim came out on the credit card. Out $1800. Do not order from this company!

Sal showed up promptly and was friendly and knowledgeable. He ordered the replacement part I needed and called me when it came in and was at my place within the hour to install it. The quote was fair and the work excellent.

I paid for a commercial roll up door. Got ripped off, no such company. Fake, scammer. I lost $1300 for a 10'x10' commercial roll up door.

What a frustrating experience. After waiting a month longer than I was told when I ordered, I believe I've lost more than $7,000. Today (4 months after ordering) was supposed to be the installation day. I received a call at 8:30 am to be told that they didn't have all of the parts and that their installer had called out sick. Really? Do you mean to tell me that your warehouse accepted goods without inspecting them? Do you have no other installers? Their manager said he was on vacation and didn't know any of this until today. I CALLED ON FRIDAY TO CONFIRM AND WAS TOLD EVERYTHING WAS FINE. So, to recap, Liars, Cheats, Liars. Now I have to hire an attorney to get a refund. Fun times from Overhead Door.

I have never received a call back from one of the Manager as I was told I would.. if you are not planning on calling to try to get a situation resolved then don't offer it. Maybe it is because I am a woman?

I cancelled an appointment with another company to go with Overhead Door, which I was told is a solid company. I was able to secure an appointment fairly quickly, the same day was moved to the next morning which was fine. The technician advised without looking at anything else, my spring was broken and either I could go with theirs or get one customs ordered which would have taken 3 weeks. I accepted to go with theirs. He came back 2 days later, window was 10am to 2pm, havent heard from him by 1:30 pm I called and was told he should be there shortly, The technician then called me stating he would be there in 15 min, the 15min turned into 1 hour.. things happened but it s all about communication.. I work too and was stuck at home. After changing the spring, the door was still not working. He advised in fact the motor was the issue. The motor is a lot cheaper than the spring. I told him the spring might not have been broken then, he told me that s possible.... so I paid for something that potentially didnt need to be repaired. I called the company and spoke with one of their manager who told me he stood by their technician, which I can understand but clearly that tech didnt do the inspection correctly. I was told afterwards the spring was indeed broken, after it was removed (when I wasnt there to witness it) and folded in 3 different pcs, so yes by that point the spring was definitely broken. I received $100 discount which, even though I appreciate it, doesnt make up for the extra $750 spent in addition of the motor paid! Would the tech have checked the motor first, changed it and then checked whether the garage door would have opened or not, then different story! In addition of that, I was given only on door garage opener and the door makes a lot more noise than previously. I have to call them back for them to come adjust it. With a company of that size and reputation, this is quite disappointing. Would I have been a man, maybe the technician would have been more "thorough"?

The consultant arrived, and in about 30 min he explained all the options, what they will do, and how much. He said they could fix the old door, but he had a good price on a new one.

On the day of the installation, the tech was sick, so we had to reschedule two days later.

The tech arrived on time. He was done in about 2 hours. He cleaned up behind himself (broom and dustpan).

The door looks and works as expected. It is so quiet compared to my old door.
