In my experience
In my experience, there aren’t enough words to express how much of a blessing this program and community were, and continue to be, to my healing.
I struggled with anxiety most of my life, but when I was about 6 months postpartum with my second child there was a major shift. The intrusive thoughts I would experience about life and my capability as a person and a mother were debilitating. I got to a point where I felt panic going out in public, going to the grocery store, shopping, driving, falling asleep etc. the list goes on and on. I felt like I was just barely surviving.
I reached out to all sorts of doctors to make sure there wasn’t anything underlying and all I was ever told was that my results were normal and given medication to treat anxiety.
The medication only intensified my symptoms, created more physical symptoms, and made me even more fearful.
When I thought all hope was lost, I found Emilee. She was the first person that explained exactly what I was experiencing and finally made me feel understood and less crazy.
She had real answers to recovery. Not just how to respond to the symptoms, but what was actually going on underneath and what got me in the situation in the first place. It wasn’t a bandaid fix, or a way to cope, but a path to freedom and transformation.
When you join Panic to Peace, it is an investment for your life. You gain scientific knowledge about why you’re feeling the way you do and how to respond to it in a healthy way. You gain lifelong friendships. You have an opportunity to grow in your faith and learn how God says you should live. Most importantly, you gain confidence and leave the program having the ability to respond to any and all things that will come your way in life. Because unfortunately, we can’t always control stressful situations that come our way.
During my time in the program, my family and I experienced a traumatic event. Not only did I have an endless amount of support from the coaches and other members in the program, but I had the tools to embrace my situation in a healthy way.
If you’re struggling with living in fear, panic, and/or any other symptoms that have grown from that, I can’t encourage you enough to reach out to Emilee and give Panic to Peace a chance to change your life. To explore what it means to have a dysregulated nervous system and how much it can impact so many parts of your brain and body. Fixing the root of the problem is so beneficial to you and your well-being.
