I had a really positive experience with Pareto throughout the recruitment process. The assessment day was well organised, engaging and a great opportunity to showcase my skills.

A special mention to Amelie Saville-Davis, who genuinely helped put me on the right track in my journey towards a career in sales. When I was first starting out, I wasn’t entirely sure how to approach breaking into the industry, but Amelie provided valuable guidance, encouragement and opportunities that helped me move in the right direction.

She was always approachable, supportive and genuinely interested in helping me succeed, which made a massive difference.

Overall, a great experience with Pareto, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking to kick-start their career in sales!

Both Scarlet and Levi were very helpful during my interview process, they were prompt in reaching out to me and updating me giving me the best chance to secure a role I really wanted. I would recommend working with Pareto in the future in the hope of securing a future role. Also the whole team at Pareto that were there at the interview process really helped everything go as smooth as possible.

The assessment day in itself was such a great experience and the staff were beyond helpful in getting you prepared for it. Scarlett was an absolute superstar and has aided and communicated with me to find the right entry level job for me. would recommend to anyone looking to find a role in sales!

What made my experience great was being prepared thanks to Levi Scothern and Scarlet Aubret for staying in touch all the way up to my assessment day, very helpful. I had an amazing time meeting Pareto's team and the Aalco team everyone was so lovely it was amazing to be able to have a good fun day

Zoe, Amelie and Levi were so amazing throughout the whole process, gave me very useful interview tips and suggestions. Levi was very quick with finding and sending me different job options and Zoe helped me secure the job I really wanted most !! Could not recommend more to anyone else struggling with finding their first post-grad job!

Absolute joke. I went through Pareto for an assessment centre for an entry level role. The job was for Nottingham but the day took place in Manchester. Which was fine as they said expenses are paid for. However, I have not received ANY payment. I have contacted them many times and they stated it is on its way. This was 3 months ago. The person I went through, their number “no longer exists”. I am beyond mad. I was going up against people with 10 years experience in the field when it’s a ENTRY level job. I also prepared a pitch as instructed for the company however I did it in-front of people at Pareto, not the company. Embarrassing. Where’s the decorum!

Went to an assessment day hosted by Pareto. They prepped me for the day and were so Lovley, great communication throughout. The assessment day they hosted was fun and engaging and everyone was so friendly, everything was planned precisely. I had contact with Tom and Alice and they were both very helpful and efficient !

This company, likes to pick bright graduates ( that have loads of potential ) and do a silly test on the phone where the cold calling agent butters you up by saying you have the best responses, you would be terrific for the job etc, and try to lure you in to come to their assessment centre in Wilmslow, Manchester ( they care about numbers that show up to make themselves look good and secure contracts off companies ). Upon arrival they'll do a small ice breaker where you tell the whole group your ' greatest non academic achievement ' which is later followed by group scenarios and you're basically told how to cold call and be a pushy salesman/saleswoman. After this, there is an interview where they don't care about how good your answer is because that doesn't sell products, looks and charm do ! the day where I got talked into it ( baring in mind I did my research and found out it was all nonsense and a repeat pattern of wasting people time ) it turned out to be the exact thing ! In the room we had a few people that had some strong looks ( mixture of guys and girls ) with different various educational backgrounds, and at the end of it the ones that got selected were majority that had the looks with 2/3 being average that also got selected just to blend in that they don't choose for looks. The ones left were average looking people including myself, two of the guys left consisted of a hotel chain manager and one of them a graduate computer scientist and another one who did cyber security. One of them also was a girl who did English literature, who after a good lengthy conversation, I could tell was pretty smart and then myself who has 2 technical degrees. It showed the bias viewpoint of the company where selection was made from judgment of looks & ethnicity not talent ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY, THEY ARE A COLD CALLING COMPANY ! NOT THE BIG ESTABLISHMENT THEY TRY AND MAKE THEMSELVES TO BE ! Also the icing on the cake was the agent they had got to initially phone me was so adamant on if I'm coming or not he kept ringing me and pleading to come along and had said to me that they don't normally hold assessment days at their Wilmslow centre, where clearly a room was designated for such activities and we were being recorded. Finally, we were told we would receive feedback, which we never did :/ goes to show what type of time waste they are. I would recommend not to waste your time and talent at this awful place ! Good job I didn't get this role !

Very disappointing recruitment experience

I’m extremely disappointed with the recruitment process at this company. I spent around four hours interviewing for the position, only to be told afterwards that I had been successful and that I would be progressing with the role.

I was then left waiting with no meaningful communication for three months. Despite the time and effort I had invested in the interview process, I have still not received a clear update or any proper explanation regarding what happened.

I completely understand that recruitment processes can change and that circumstances can arise, but candidates deserve basic communication, honesty and respect for their time.

Spending four hours interviewing someone, telling them they have been successful, and then effectively disappearing for three months is extremely unprofessional and has left a very poor impression of the company.

I would strongly encourage the company to reconsider how it communicates with candidates throughout its recruitment process.

Avoid this place.
I used a few sales recruitment agencies to get my sales job and this was the worst one. The recruiter who contacted me wasn’t very helpful it’s almost like she didn’t really care. The assessment day itself was just very disorganized and chaotic, I’m quite a confident and competitive person, but despite this it was just so poorly organized. Receive no feedback afterwards, despite requesting it several times and them promising they would give it.
Worst one of the sales recruitment agencies I’ve used, do not recommend.

I was disappointed with my experience with Pareto.

Throughout the assessment day, I found parts of the process to be patronising rather than supportive. The atmosphere felt unnecessarily competitive, and some interactions came across as rude, which made what should have been a professional recruitment experience feel uncomfortable.

I was also informed that my transportation costs would be reimbursed, but despite this assurance, I never received the reimbursement. After several months, I am still waiting for feedback on my assessment day performance, despite following up.

I appreciate that recruitment processes can be competitive, but clear communication, respectful treatment of candidates, and honouring commitments such as agreed travel reimbursement are important. Unfortunately, my experience fell well below those expectations.

I found the assessment day itself to be well organised, and some of the exercises were engaging. During the day I received positive verbal feedback on both the hot air balloon exercise and my cold-calling performance, which I appreciated.

However, my biggest disappointment has been the lack of feedback afterwards. Despite waiting several months and following up, I have still not received any meaningful feedback on my assessment day performance.

Assessment days require candidates to invest a significant amount of time and effort preparing, attending and participating. Providing timely and constructive feedback is, in my view, an important part of the candidate experience, particularly after asking applicants to complete multiple exercises.

While I respect that I wasn't selected for the role, the prolonged absence of feedback has left me disappointed with the overall recruitment process.
