Saying goodbye to our beloved Staffie, Flynn
Saying goodbye to our beloved Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Flynn, was the hardest thing we've ever had to do – but having Kim by our side made all the difference.
From the moment she walked through the door, Kim brought a sense of calm, compassion, and dignity that we will never forget.
She treated Flynn not just as a patient, but as the cherished member of our family that he was. Her gentle approach, soft-spoken reassurance, and genuine empathy made an incredibly painful moment feel peaceful and respectful.
Kim allowed us the time we needed, never rushing, always focused on Flynn’s comfort and our emotional well-being. She explained everything with sensitivity and clarity, helping us feel supported and understood at every step.
Thanks to her, Flynn was able to pass in his favorite spot at home, surrounded by love, without fear or stress. We could not have asked for a more humane or caring experience.
We will always be grateful to Kim for helping us give Flynn the farewell he deserved. Her work is truly a gift to families like ours. xxxx

I made a very difficult decision just over a week ago to have my beloved Bruno put to sleep & if I could have given Paws at Peace & would have given them 10 stars, as Bruno was a very large & not trusting of people, so I can say from the bottom of my heart thank you Kim for your kindness & compassion for Bruno in his last moments as if you hadn't gained his trust you would have most certainly known it, I would totally reccomend Paws at Peace & the whole team behind Kim as I personally don't think you would get that service from your own vet, thank goodness I found you xx
I could not have asked for more care
A heartfelt thank you to Kim and Kate for their compassionate and caring service.
I could not have asked for more care when it was time say goodbye to my beautiful Lola after 15 wonderful years of companionship, fun, mischief and pure love. Kate was so understanding and helpful in the conversations we had on the telephone. Kim was so caring and compassionate when she visited my home. She took the time to explain everything step by step and nothing was rushed. It was very peaceful and dignified for my beautiful best friend. Thank you!

An exceptional Compassionate Service
I had heard wonderful things about Peace for Pets, and I am so grateful that I remembered them at a time when stress and heartbreak can make it hard to think clearly. I’m also thankful to friends who had recommended and reviewed their service because they were right, Kim and Sam are exceptional.
From the first phone call Sam was patient, caring and guided me through everything with such compassion.
Kim is so knowledgeable, caring, and supportive. She helped turn one of the most difficult moments making the decision to let our beloved George go — into something much more bearable. She gave us the space to focus on George, to cuddle him and treasure our last moments, while everything was taken at our pace. There was no rushing, no pressure just calm, compassion, and dignity.
This is actually the second time I’ve witnessed Kim’s care, having supported a close friend recently with her dog Arthur’s passing. Both times I’ve been struck by the same thing: the compassion and gentleness of the process. And what makes it even more special is how personal it is. Despite supporting so many families, Kim still remembered details weeks later — she knew Arthur had lived with us for a time, asked after his mum, and spoke as though each family truly matters. It never feels “in and out” or routine; it feels genuine, heartfelt, and deeply human.
I truly believe the grieving process is kinder when it happens this way — not rushed, not in a busy practice, not overshadowed by upsetting moments like waiting room payments but instead held with dignity and care in the comfort of home.
I know there are other services out there, but I genuinely don’t believe it could ever be done to the same standard that Kim and the team provide. Their work is clearly built from personal experience, and their heart and soul shines through in everything they do.
We are so grateful to Kim, Sam, and Peace for Pets for helping George pass peacefully, surrounded by love. Thank you for giving us such a precious gift in the hardest of times. 🐾💙
A peaceful and dignified farewell at home.
I cannot express enough gratitude to Paws At Peace Ltd for the beautiful and compassionate farewell they provided for our beloved Misha. From the very first call, their kindness and understanding brought comfort in one of the most heart-wrenching moments of our lives.
When Misha was too frail to even consider a stressful trip to the vet, Paws At Peace offered a gentle, dignified alternative—right in our own home. Kim arrived with warmth, taking the time to explain everything with patience and empathy. She treated Misha with such tenderness and respect, completely easing our minds during the process. We were able to say goodbye surrounded by love and familiar surroundings, which meant the world to us.
Afterwards, the follow-up support was equally thoughtful—guiding us through aftercare and moving us gently through the grief.
If you are facing one of the hardest decisions a pet owner can make, I wholeheartedly recommend Paws At Peace Ltd. Their exceptional care turned a painful goodbye into a peaceful and profoundly meaningful final moment.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
Absolutely first class.
Absolutely first class and professional service on a very dark day for me. Went above and beyond to make the day easier to accept.
A beautiful goodbye 🌈
From my initial phone call with Kate to a huge hug from Kim as she left our home we were treated with the utmost compassion.
Our beautiful old boy Tai loved our vet but hated being in the vicinity of other dogs. His appointment the day before his passing cemented my choice that he would not leave this word anywhere that would cause him any amount of stress.
Recommend by my brilliant vet and also a friend who had recently let her sweet girl go my mind was already made up.
Thanks to Kim I got to spend one more night at home with my precious boy.
He got to eat a whole vienetta ice cream topped with chocolate sprinkles making us all giggle at the sheer joy on his face before closing his eyes for the last time.
I know it sounds silly because as much as it broke my heart to lose him it brought me so much peace that I got to make the choices that were right for him. At home, with a belly full of steak, chocolate and ice cream surrounded by his family who he loved and loved him dearly he simply fell into his forever sleep in his own bed, with his favourite blanket held in our arms.
Kim liaised with the crematorium of our choice and ensured his safe collection taking another difficult phone call off our hands.
It’s never a decision anyone wants to make for their beloved pet but I am so pleased that I chose Kim and the team.
As a family we will always be eternally grateful for enabling us the goodbye of our choice.
A peaceful goodbye
Our beautiful Goldie, Phoebe, had been through so much trauma in her very short life, having to make the decision to say goodbye has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. My vet recommended Paws at Peace, as Phoebe hated the car, each time she had to get in she knew it was for something awful.
I couldn’t even speak to Kim the first time I rang, I couldn’t talk for crying. Ultimately when Kim arrived, she treated us all with kindness and compassion, and Phoebe had the most peaceful passing, with love. Through my pain, I have the comfort of knowing she really did pass with peace. If you’re ever in the awful situation of having to say goodbye to your beloved pet, I can’t recommend Kim and her team enough.
100% recommendation
After having my dearly loved cat, Otis, for 21 years the time had arrived to say goodbye. He’d only ever been to the vets once in his life and was so stressed out in his carrier I didn’t want to put him through that journey again. Paws at Peace were recommended and I’m so glad they were. From making one of the hardest decisions I picked up the phone and from the very first minute of talking to them I knew I’d made the right decision. The care they all showed was unlimited. Kim was so understanding and let us take as much time as we needed to say goodbye. Everything was clearly explained and Otis had a very peaceful passing. Can’t thank you all enough xx
Incredible service
Our beautiful girl, Izzy, went downhill very fast. We had already discussed end of life options for her and researched at home euthanasia as she was so terrified every time we went to the vets. This made that first, hard phone call easier to make. What made it even easier was Kim's immediate understanding and kindness and knowing that she could come later that day, even on a weekend, so that our girl wouldn't have to suffer a moment longer than she had to.
We were able to spend the last few hours loving her, talking to her, cuddling and spoiling her in the place she felt most comfortable, her home. When Kim arrived we immediately knew we were in good hands. She was so caring and kind in exactly the kind of practical way we needed to help us through Izzy's last moments. Izzy fell asleep cuddled in my husband's arms, surrounded by love and everything that was familiar to her. It was a wrench to let her go, but we are comforted by knowing that we made her as happy as we could and that she died peacefully at home. We are endlessly grateful that Kim and Paws at Peace were there when we needed them to provide such a vital service.
The aftercare from Kim and the team has also been excellent and they help you navigate insurance and bereavement with a gentle hand. I can't recommend them highly enough.
I knew Harry was near the end
I knew Harry was near the end. I was determined that when the time came he would be at home surrounded by the other animals, myself and my partner.
From the moment I contacted 'Paws at Peace' I was supported completely and I knew Harry was in the right hands. Kim and her husband were brilliant. Kim's husband realised that Harry was in real trouble and Kim (the vet) was at the house as quickly as she could have been. The kindness and compassion shown was second to none. Harry passed away so peacefully. I can't recommend this service enough. So, genuine. They also arranged for the pet crematorium company to be waiting outside.
There is an enormous hole in our lives now but how much better to have your animal surrounded by home comforts and so much love. Thank you Kim and to your husband we will be forever grateful.
Peaceful and dignified, surrounded by love at home
We had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Harvey, and after hearing about Paws at Peace through a friend, contacted Kim. I can honestly say it was the best decision we’d ever made, albeit one of the hardest. Kim showed compassion, respect and understanding to all the family as it felt fairly sudden and we were all very emotional. She explained everything and advised us what to expect. Harvey knew no more than being surrounded by love from his family at home, and fell asleep in my arms - not distressed as he would have been going to the vets. I’m grateful we were given some time to contact Kim and to be able to do this for him. Thank you Kim for your professionalism and respect, not just for Harvey, but for all of us.

It was heartbreaking to make the decision to let my old girl Poopy go. The service Kim provided was second to none, her compassion towards the family & Poppy showed. She treat Poppy with dignity, making it easier for her & us. I will never forget her for this.
Highly recommend
Jackie talked me through everything on…
Jackie talked me through everything on the phone made sure that I had time to decide what I wanted and even if I could afford it there was no pressure when we decided Kim came out to the house she was so kind and friendly she went through everything she went into the kitchen so we could say our goodbye it was one of the worst days of our lives saying goodbye to our lovely little dog of 19years it was made so much easier with the help of these lovely people can't thank them enough
Kind, caring and compassionate
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Kim and the team at Paws at peace. Having made the very difficult decision to say our final goodbye's to our beautiful boy Kai, Kim came to our home at short notice, and Kai took his last breath lying in his own bed, in his own home, peacefully, with his family around him. He was part of our family for 16 and a half years and was truly loved. Kim and her team showed empathy and care and compassion, and supported us through a very sad time.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Paws at Peace to say that final goodbye at home. We can't thank Kim and the team enough.
