Do not join this company as a content writer
To be precise I worked for this company in September 2021 and therefore I am not sure how the work ethics are today but it was an ordeal when I worked for them because my very first payment and only payment I received from them came 58 days after final submission of work. I was promised payment in 30 days but 58 days is close to two months. The selection process itself was dubious. They ask you to take a short simple and easy test in English Grammar which I thought I had nailed it. I was shocked when I was told I barely made 50% and I was asked to take it again. This time too I thought I had nailed it but this time I was told I got 60% and that I was eligible for work in content writing. I was happy with the rate per word they offered. Work was quickly offered but here's the hard part. I had to do a ton of research on topics I disliked or those that I was not familiar with. Nothing had to be copied (cut and paste) from sources elsewhere. I was ok with this but then your content that you laboriously strive to create is sliced and diced by other editors who send it back for corrections. I recall at least 3-4 re-submissions for every article or post (ranging anywhere from 500-2000 words) I created. Certainly it doesn't feel good. The worst is corrections for sentences indicating that I missed the comma before the "and" as in "Tom, Sam, and Harry". This is incorrect as the comma is not to be used before the "and" in such cases. This clearly indicates that they are using a grammar tool such as Grammarly which needs to be told (you can program the Software) that the comma before the "and" is an error. Equally appalling is the report of some ladies in Quora mentioning that this was a great place to work and that they have completed 70 plus projects. All this is fake news to get more contractors to them. I was approached via LinkedIn and so be wary of these sales and marketing people asking you to join the largest content writing company in the world and such. I have worked for clients abroad on Elance (now Upwork) and the payments are super prompt. You can even ask for 25% downpayment before start of work and you'll get paid. There are also Escrow projects where the entire money of the project is put into your account online and released as you progress with the work. So never believe any company (this company did this and several others on LinkedIn) when they tell you that clients pay 30 days late or 60 days late. Most companies, particularly from the U.S.A pay you promptly and up front too. I have worked for clients in the UK, Singapore, Australia, Hongkong, Croatia, Iceland and never did I have a problem with payments. I did have one issue with an Israeli middle agent though.
