Arrived on schedule and the guy from Royal Mail waited for me to sign for them, pleasant change from other delivery people who don't ring / door bell and scuttle off.

This has been one of the worst online purchasing experiences I have ever had.

I purchased a specific perfume gift set from this business through Amazon on 4 August, specifically as a gift. Instead of receiving the gift set that I deliberately selected and paid for, they sent me a different product from the one advertised and ordered.

What should have been a simple and enjoyable gift purchase was completely ruined and turned into weeks of returns, disputes and repeated attempts to recover my money.

I reported the wrong item almost immediately after collecting the parcel — within approximately 39 minutes — so there is clear timestamped evidence showing how quickly I raised the problem. There was never any delay or change of mind on my part: the problem from the very beginning was that the product received was not the product advertised and ordered.

The seller's original mistake could have been resolved very easily: acknowledge that the wrong product was sent, provide the appropriate return method and refund the customer once the goods were returned. Instead, I spent weeks trying to resolve what should have been a straightforward return.

My requests for assistance and a return label were not properly dealt with. Eventually, I paid the £11.95 return postage myself and sent their product back with tracking. The return was successfully delivered and the seller received their goods back.

I want to make something absolutely clear: I did not open, spray, test or use the perfume. I received a different product, reported it almost immediately and ultimately returned it at my own expense without using it.

What made this experience even more disturbing was what happened afterwards. I was informed through Amazon Customer Service that the seller was claiming that the product had been opened and that I had complained about not liking the smell.

I categorically deny these allegations. I never made such a complaint and never used the perfume. My photographs, Amazon messages and timestamps document that I reported receiving the wrong product almost immediately after collection.

Despite successfully receiving their goods back, the seller still did not simply resolve my refund, leaving me fighting to recover my money.

Think about the position this leaves a customer in: a business sends a different product from the one advertised, the customer reports it almost immediately, pays out of their own pocket to return it unused, the business receives its goods back, and the customer is then left fighting for their money while also having to defend themselves against allegations they completely dispute.

This situation has dragged on for weeks. The gift I originally purchased on 4 August was completely ruined, and what should have been a straightforward correction of the seller's mistake became an exhausting dispute that caused an enormous amount of unnecessary stress, frustration and mental exhaustion.

Everything described in this review is documented, including Amazon communications, photographs, timestamps, the return postage receipt, tracking and proof of delivery.

Based on my personal experience, I would strongly advise potential customers to exercise extreme caution when purchasing from this business. A customer should never have to go through weeks of this after receiving the wrong product and successfully returning it to the seller.

I certainly will never purchase from this business again.
