I see many poor reviews and negative feedback about Peroptyx but it's one of those situations where you really need to understand exactly what this program is and who it is intended for. If you decide to participate in it for long enough you will see that they really aren't the bad guys everyone seems to think they are. You will only get out what you are prepared to give to this program. Even though it takes hard work and dedication, if you are the right sort of person and you stick to it, it can become a stable side-hustle. The learning curve is very steep but I find that many things in life worth doing have this in common.

They will waste your time and pay you peanuts

Heavy training and hours of unpaid work to receive minimum wage pay.

The tasks are simply too much effort for the tiny amount of time allocated. For example, you'll be listening and responding to 20 heavy questions about a 1 minute audio clip with a 3 minute allowance of pay. Above this, the standard expected of you is ridiculous with very vague instructions, and minimal guidance.

You will be let go with absolutely no explanation, and when you ask how to improve, you will receive no information and told "Oh we cannot tell you why".

Avoid this company like the plague.

If I could have given them a 0, I would have. I think this company is truly terrible. For a Map Analyst project you have to go through heavy training and, if you’re lucky enough (which is unlikely) to pass, they pay you a rate that is much lower than what the training owner pay —an amount that, after taxes, is below minimum wage. They pay 45 business days after the end of the project, so basically after two months.
After passing the assessment (and I had to practice for at least 10 days), they asked for all my details including bank information for payment, and then informed me that online banks or platforms like PayPal are not accepted. I only have two online banks and PayPal! So according to them I should open a new bank account just for them, when I’ve never had issues with any other platform. Ridiculous! And all this for a rate below minimum wage!
My advice to everyone is not to waste your time with these people…

This company likes to waste your time. They make you take these "tests" before being considered and then you get every question correct and they will just reject your application with no explanation!

They tell you stuff should take 10 minutes to do which take more like an hour.

From all the negative feedback I am glad I didn't work for this company.

I did about 60 - 70 hours of work for them at €14/hour after already passing the exam, however, I was paid €150 in total. When I emailed them about this and other techincal problems. They then deleted my account and said I fell below the acceptable threshold. I emailed them back proof of their problems and they replied that there was nothing they could do. Awful experience, avoid at all costs.

They don’t tell you this but 0 experience required means they want to know, and what they assess you on, is whether or not you have the level of attention to detail and recall that the role demands. If you do it’s easy enough to do well I.e. beat the estimates and quality levels if you don’t it’ll be difficult. Everything else about it is as you’d expect.

Fui selecionado pela Peroptyx para participar do processo de treinamento para atuar como avaliador de conteúdo, que durou cerca de 3 meses. Neste período, dediquei semanas a fio estudando materiais extensos, fazendo exercícios e avaliações, sempre seguindo as orientações recebidas.

Mesmo com total empenho, nunca me liberaram para iniciar o trabalho remunerado. Fui mantido em um ciclo infinito de testes e avaliações, com respostas vagas como “precisa melhorar seus resultados”. Nenhum retorno claro, nenhum feedback técnico útil, nenhuma proposta de melhoria concreta — apenas a promessa de que, "talvez", eu estivesse pronto no futuro.

Depois de meses me dedicando, fui informado de que não seguiria com a empresa, sem nunca ter recebido por nada do que fiz. Tudo indica que usam o sistema de avaliações apenas para extrair trabalho gratuito de candidatos, sem a menor intenção de contratá-los formalmente.

Não recomendo a ninguém se envolver com a Peroptyx. Se você valoriza seu tempo e seu esforço, procure oportunidades mais éticas, transparentes e respeitosas com o profissional.

Absolute scam, while preparing for the exam they rejected me! I lost time to prepare. And the custom support non existent. I have all the proof.

Trust the negative reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed. They are not written out of spite but out of frustration and disappointment. The company offers you no employment contract but forces you into false self-employment. Lower you pay expectations to circa 300 euros per month the most, and that is before tax and social security deductions. There will be 4 months in the year with 0 income, as there will be no tasks to perform. You have no control over your workday or the task flow. Tasks are dropped like breadcrumbs to hungry ducks. You will learn nothing, and there are no career prospects.

The worst data annotation company ever. Unpaid entry test takes an entire week. Only after passing the entry test, they'll let you know the hourly rate.

Now comes the fun part. You don't get paid working per hour, but per task. Each task takes significantly more time than what they propose (3 minute task takes 10 minutes) so you'll earn way less than the hourly rate.

This rate, even if done according to their proposed time, is below minimum wage for every country if you take premiums, taxes, social security away. No way to get more pay, they ignore you when they ask. It is required that you work as an independant contractor, but you'll see that this structure is illegal due to false self-employment.

Payment is so sloppy. They have trouble paying you, which means sometimes you have to wait 3 months before getting paid for the work you've done.

Now about the tasks. You only get paid per task, but 60% of the time there are no tasks. So you'll spend most of your time staring at a screen that says "no surveys".

Dig into their past and you'll understand how this company exists and operates.

EDIT: wow, a bunch of positive reviews have been added since March. Guess they needed better ratings for their new crowdfunding round.

🚨 Unprofessional and Likely a Scam – Avoid! 🚨

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Peroptyx. While they present themselves as a legitimate opportunity, the reality is far from it.
The scam starts with the hiring process.

As soon as you inquire about fair pay or potential increases (which should happen naturally as they require you to learn new skills repeatedly), communication stops entirely. They ghost you, delete your account, and any pending payments you’re owed vanish with them.

I strongly recommend avoiding Peroptyx. There are far better alternatives out there that treat workers with respect and transparency.

A company the world does not need!

I foolishly applied for remote work with this Company.

There is an entrance exam to be done before being accepted.
Due to faulty programming, I was led to believe I had done only the example questions- which I found amongst many pages of crap information.

A while later I was notified that i had failed an exam (which I did not do)

I have written to Peroptyx support desk four times. I get templated replies saying that I cannot resit the exam - and that somehow the EXAMPLE test was actually the REAL test!

My advice would be to stay well clear of this Company

It is a scam. The 5 star reviews are probably written by the people behind the "company".

As soon as you ask about the possibility of an increased pay rate (which should be automatic as they demand you to learn new skills over and over again), they ghost you. They don't reply, they delete your account, and you'll never get the pay you worked for.

If you're bored and want to waste your time, go ahead. If you want to be paid for the work you do, find some other alternatives. This is a complete scam.

Mi sono registrato fornendo il numero di telefono. Tempo due giorni sono iniziati ad arrivare messaggi di spam via whatsapp da numeri inglesi. Ognuno tragga le conclusioni che vuole. Io ho cancellato istantaneamente l'account.
