Very informative and accurate. Well worth the money

This course was an excellent, thorough preparation for the PTCE. I appreciated how the information was chunked into smaller, more digestible sections, making it easy to gradually learn the material. The supplemental readings from books in the APhA library (included as part of the course) were incredibly helpful and informative, adding additional depth and information to the already comprehensive lectures. By the end of the course, I felt very prepared to take and pass the PTCE. I would highly recommend anyone preparing for the PTCE to take this course. You will be very pleased in your investment.

Pharmacy Scholar offers a fantastic educational experience. It feels just like being in a classroom, but the best part is that I can immediately apply what I'm learning to my job. The education is top-tier, and Dr. Emmel is an excellent, highly skilled teacher. I highly recommend this program for career advancement.

Great course for multiple types of learners. Audio modules, reading and quizzes help students to gauge their learning. Helpful study tips are provided; virtual class videos are now being uploaded to resource section so students can view anytime. Information is well organized and thorough. The final exam for course completion can be taken over and over pulling from 1000s of practice bank questions to prepare students for the PCTE. Highly recommend this course; especially if you are new to healthcare!

While I haven't taken the PTCE yet as I'm just finishing the course, these lessons were very informative while still being very easy to digest. I prefer learning from visual mediums, so having the bulk of the course be in slideshows that often showed categories separated by colored text boxes was perfect for me. I do wish that some of the required readings were as "user-friendly" as, despite a few exceptions, they were often big blocks of text. I do recognize however, that this is due to the required readings being created by different authors who formatted it more as a textbook. Though it would be a larger task, having an expanded section to help break down these required readings could be beneficial. I also wish there was a way to view old test scores after the fact, since once I navigated away from the page, I would have to retake the test all over with no history to previous scores. I do very much appreciate the sections given on missed questions that explain the correct answer, however. One last thing that I would've loved to have was a way to save the slideshows from the lessons to have offline. I'm in an area with very spotty internet, and it was often disheartening to have times where I was unable to access the material, as the Google Drive files were set to be unable to save offline. I would've liked to be able to save the slideshows and refer back to them for notes more freely.

That all being said, everything else was well organized and easy to learn from. I appreciate Dr. Emmel consistently taking the time to send a message as I completed modules, asking if there was anything I needed and offering to help with any questions and study preparations. Thank you for helping provide this opportunity.

This program was amazing and I learned a great deal of information. I really enjoyed the extra readings and required readings, the flashcards, the slides, and the activities. I would recommend having an option to print the flashcards for easy studying and being able to print the slides for easy studying as well. Also, maybe having a payment plan if the price is alittle steep for some people and maybe purchasing a month by month renewal if you need more time to complete the program, instead of having to purchase another whole six months. Overall, the program was great and I had a great experinece learning new and old information. I would definitely do this program again if I ever needed to and I loved that the instructor kept in contact with me throughout the whole program.

I was going through a training program and fairly near completion when the national chain I worked at went out of buiness. Most of my training has been hands on, and little time was allowed to get through coursework. While I had the necessary hours worked to apply for the national exam, I did not feel ready to take it. I chose to start this program to help gain the knowledge I was missing to pass the test. And in my state, this course meets the requirement to apply for the exam, so I did not need to prove I had worked the necessary hours. Working at my own pace has been helpful, and I was able to gain a position at an independent pharmacy at a higher starting wage since they didn't have to pay for coursework. Overall I am happy with the decision to take this course.

Dr. Emmel responds really quickly to questions and concerns along with doing Virtual Classrooms for extra guidance on students who feel overwhelmed or lost. This program really brakes certain topics down for someone who has little to no knowledge to understand. The math section which is known to be the most intimidating section was fairly simple after watching the videos and tons of practice.

This course is very interactive, which is great, and also informative in the studies of what is needed to be knowledgeable to become a Pharmacy Tech. The course helps to set you at ease during your learning with knowing you are able to go back to any course and refresh yourself or retake the whole course again. All the while, support from Dr. Emmel is always there to help you along the way. His live Virtual classroom's are where you can ask him questions during the session and you participate in helping yourself and others learn as well. Dr. Emmel's feedback after each module is great. His help in making you feel confident during this course, and the confidence you will get before taking the State exam is and will be invaluable. Good luck to all who decide to go through this program while becoming fully prepared to take the State test and to pass the first time.

I appreciated the organization of this course into modules that made it easy to understand the goal of the lesson, but short enough to feel like I was accomplishing something. The modules included voice and closed captions to fit my learning needs. I loved that I could keep track of my course achievements with a percentage complete. This kept me motivated to get to the course completed. I enjoyed the flexibility that the. course offered to skip around while learning some of the trickier drug modules. The director, Dr. Emmel, was fantastic and prompt to reply directly to my questions offering me valuable feedback. I would love to take continuing education courses from this vendor if those were offered! - Abby

Pharmacy Tech Scholar provides a thorough presentation to prepare anyone, with zero or "anecdotal" medication knowledge, the needed information to prepare for the PTCE. Easy to understand and comprehend, the material does not spend time in peripheral info but focuses on what's needed. This is good as it does not bias one who is not yet immersed in a particular setting to thinking only one way but is a good foundation with which to build upon once practicing in one's particular locale. Thank you Dr. Emmel for being responsive and helpful along the way.

The curriculum was well written and presented. It was based on an educational medical model that I appreciate.
