Had a problem with dampproof, contacted Platinum late afternoon and the product was dispatched along with the equipment to use it the next day.

I had just discovered a problem with woodworm in/on a really small item of furniture and was lucky enough to contact Platinum Chemicals to ask about a suitable product to apply.

The person who answered my call and the technician/engineer who listened to my query are both courteous and competent. I was advised as to the item I needed, a modest quantity, not being coaxed into a more expensive and larger one and I placed the order.

This was in the afternoon, and I was stunned to take delivery of it early the next morning.

The furniture was treated with the solution the same day, to my great relief as I know I caught the infestation in time before it had the chance to spread to the rest of my home.

After hearing nothing for 5 days after ordering, I asked for an update. Apparently, as my order was being processed, they noticed the sell by date was out. New stock was expected very soon.
Today, 12 days from the order, with no delivery date in sight, I cancelled my order.

I was after a few tubes of grab adhesive for PVC panelling. I looked online and all my local building suppliers were massively more expensive than Plantinum Chemicals. It was worth buying 3 with postage which was also reasonable rather than shop local at the big named stores. Definitely will use them again.

I spoke to a very helpful person who advised what I needed for deathwatch and how to apply the Lignum. It doesn’t smell or drip. I only had a small lintel to apply it to which may have had deathwatch in the past.

Second time this year using Platinum for clients damproofing. Product works well and creates a DPC over the following months.
