PLDT unproffesional
We reside in Odiogan and were previously connected to PLDT. However, we have since relocated to Alcantara. During this time, I contacted PLDT via phone and visited their office near us. I was informed that they were unable to transfer our connection to Alcantara as their cable network was not yet available in the area. I also reached out to PLDT customer care and explained the situation, but they were unable to assist me due to the unavailability of their network in our new location. They requested some personal information from me and asked for my ID. I provided the information and was told that I would receive an update within 48 hours. However, four days have passed, and I have not heard back from them. I contacted them again and was asked for another ID as their system did not accept the first one. I responded by stating that they have no right to ask for another ID, let alone a copy of my ID, as it is illegal to do so. The proper procedure for verifying my identity would be for me to fill out an application and for the desk to confirm my details. They do not have the authority to make a copy or take a photo of my ID. As PLDT does not have availability in our new location, I have the right to terminate my contract without incurring any costs, as this is a problem on their end. Therefore, I refuse to pay for the months that they have charged me, any additional fees, or any other charges.
